After doing some searching it turns out my old comics went under
I guess I was using some lego-themed image host back then that went belly-up
All my old gems of a comic went down with them

Turns out this isn't entirely true.

The first sprites I made were for a game creation program way before I made that sheet.

Klik n' Play was created by Clickteam and predates the Game Factory and MMF by a few years.

I am writing a book, but keep changing the content, so I don't think I'll ever finish.

My first sprites were for Klik n' Play too.

This also relates to my first scratch sprite (at least as far as I can remember)
I constantly used an recolored scorpian for the hero of my games in Klik n' Play. But nearly every game I tried to make was too complicated /large for the program to use, and so the file constantly ended up corrupted. Eventually I didn't want to bother recoloring that scorpian again, so I scratch sprited a silver colored scorpian.

In short; I was too lazy to recolor a sprite, so I made a scratch sprite.

My laziness has resulted in other odd ways as well. I'll often sprite my own conversion because I'm too lazy to ask if I can use someone elses or to search for a good one (Lots of robot masters were sprited because of this) or I just don't want to bother with putting a credit to tag. Same goes for looking for backgrounds. Sometimes I'd rip my own rather than spend the time to search for one.

The first handheld console I ever owned (and only one) is a GBA I pawned off someone for $50. I also convinced him to give up his games for free.

This was about the time when the GBA was still relatively new, so $50 isn't too much of a rip off.

I bought a Virtual Boy when it launched, and still miss it. (It was stolen.)

When I was in college, my bike light was stolen.

Within a week, I tracked him down, found where he lived, and retook my bike light.

I really should've done more, like disconnect his brakes, but I didn't think of that at the time.
