hmmm.... Zero's got a lack of detail. I think he needs more shading.

I am trying to make it match MvC MegaMan, so naturally it will lack a lot of detail. But he does need more work on him, I will have to try something new? Play around with the stance?Maybe i can reshape the shading to be wider/thicker?

That's correct, you are the first to notice that, you must live and breath mega man

In MMX1 game he looks exactly like this, strange thing is in his artwork that was released along with the game he had more detail on his picture, but his in game sprites are less detailed.

not sure if this is hijacking or...

Your Zero should look similar to this, your sprite is a bit too bulky to be Zero

He's trying to recreate Zero as he appeared in MvC3. He's got it right on the nose.

The stance makes it look that way but he's X1 zero in a mvc style. I assure you though he will be much like X and have a Buster to. I had some plans drawn up but I am still trying to finish X first.

You'll come to see how it will play and act once I get it programmed and playable.

I think maybe i should modify his left leg a bit to mirror it better but I don't wanna mess around too much with the Jin base since it gives it the MvC feel and look.

Maybe he needs some shading around the chest area near the left arm, his chest seems big so maybe some shading will thin that out?

Zero's sprite lacked booblights in X1, but in the manual he did have them.

The limitations on the sprites are no doubt due to the limitations of the SNES at that time. There's nothing wrong with his appearance on the mvc style sprite. I think the lack of detail is just that it needs more shading.

Yeah i know, I mentioned that, but I am going for the in game look + custom style mix of MvC Mega Man look.

Besides I always thought he looked funny having breast as a dude, it would have made more sense if he was a chick though.

Maybe next week I'll try to edit him to fix and then I may try some animations to.

Okay some charging animation

Special thanks to the guy who ripped these sprites, I got it from this forum, I don't remember his name.

I am currently trying to start Zero with a turning animation, however I am gonna take a rest now, I will pick this up again some time, I just started coding on X and he's stable. I am gonna try and find a wall climbing code to.

Starting on Zero as well. I'll probably follow the same order that X was made and make them out of the same character. However I will definitely be changing up just a few attacks. I intend on giving Zero a buster as well but different from X.

And yes I am sticking to the same stance as X, I just couldn't get it right so it's best not to mess with a good thing. Besides I shouldn't alter the base the way I did before, it ruins the quality of the original source.

The animation seems rather choppy, and the highlights on Zero's greaves and chestplate seem to jump around a lot. He also appears to gain spontaneous abs... And his hair moves very stiffly.
I sympathize with you, though - as someone who's done a lot of Zero spriting myself, I understand how frustrating it can be to try to animate his hair properly. Really, the sprites are fairly well done, it's just that the animation itself doesn't appear to flow very well.

Noted. I will try and fix some of those issues. I may not post it again updated bu it will likely be in the finished product.

Zero's hair is a mess to do!!

Some additional punching animations for close range attack as an alternative to buster use.

His upper legs shouldn't be extending like that.

At the very least, the legs shouldn't be moving like that.

You're right, during gameplay it even looks odd, I'll have to come back to it sometime. Maybe it needs to slide?

Climb Attack

I got this coded and it works by attacking in a diagonal velocity, upon contact X will jump off his opponent to either land or repeat the attack. It's one of my favorites now because of how well it works and looks.

I can't wait to record the results!

Nova Strike

Only 5 animations left. Then i can do some special attacks. I already found my Hyper/Super move in the process of making the nova strike attack so it should be enough.
