[Game] New abilities for kirby.

Ahem, i am a fan of the kirby series of games. Even while though the lastest game introduced 3 new abilities: whip, leaf, water(which appeared in the FUCKING anime first) the FUCKING OVERPOWERED AS FUCK super abilities.

AND RIDING A FUCKING DRAGON WHICH IS AN ABILITY TOO

i think those abilities are not enough.

so i came with some concepts for some new abilities for kirby. the apparent control layout will be like if you were playing Kirby's RTD if facing right.



Fan kirby: Kirby wields fans as his main from of attack. Based on the character, Saigyouji Yuyuko, From the Youhou project series of games.

B utton: Kirby swings his fan, when rapidly pressing the button, it creates wind current pushes small enemies back and if timed correctly it can deflect projectiles.

Dash + B: kirby rushes fowards and does a diagonal twirl with a fan in both hands. you can press the B Button mid-rush to initiate the attack. The attack also initiates when you come in contact win an enemy. it has some invincibility frames too ending at the end of the attack. (based on Yuyuko's "Dance of the Butterfly Dream")

down then Right+B= kirby twirls in place and swings his fan upwards. moving forward a bit and releasing a large pink slash in front that reaches high. you have invincibility frames while you are spinning, not on the actual attack thou. (based on Yuyuko's "Sense of Elegance")

down then left+B= kirby flips backwards, it creates a small wave that harms enemies. its usually used when you are about to get hit. (based on Yuyuko's "Reverse Screens"

dash + B (midair)= kirby twirls vertically.

A Button= Kirby blocks attacks with his fan, which blocks most projectiles completely.

Not to be rude, but this just sounds like you're trying to lift the moves from a different game and give them to Kirby, which is kind of lame. Also, I'm pretty sure there was a fan-wielding Kirby in one of the games.

I think it's best if you used Yuyuko's attacks as inspiration for your attacks, as opposed to copying her attacks. (At that point, we'll just have Yuyuko Kirby)

I'd imagine Fan/Air/Wind Kirby would not look exactly like Yuyuko. Keeping with official designs I had him wear a headband with a gust of wind symbol attached to it (Oddly enough I just realized Yuyuko's hat has a similar symbol on it. :/ )

Maybe have the movelist be:

B (tap) : Wave fan (same as your B attack)
B + forwards : Fan slap (Kirby swings both fans together to directly damage enemies or to create a sudden burst of wind)
B + up : Spin Kirby creating a column of wind skywards (anti-air attack?)
B (Jumping)* : Wave fan downwards (large gust launches Kirby skywards)
B (Running) : Spin Kirby whilst moving (he "runs" faster, and deals damage by slicing enemies; running into Gordos and bosses may cause Kirby to flinch/become dizzy**)
B (Running) followed by B + Up : Spinning dash followed by an upwards slash with fan (similar to your down -> B + forwards, without the invincibility and pink slash effect)

Still thinking of what to do for B + Back, B + Down, and other attacks.

*Alternate attacks may be flap fans like wings (but may clash with Wing Kirby) or spin Kirby like a propeller (but would clash with Spear Kirby).
**Kirby continues to move forward into enemy before they are defeated, resulting in a hit against Kirby.

came up with another one:

Trigger kirby: TORIGGA KAABI!!!! (lol KRW pun)

ahem, enough shennanigans.
this one is about kirby shooting with a laser gun. kirby can run and shoot.

b button= kirby draws his laser gun and shoots
b button(tap)= kirby keeps shooting.
b (hold)= kirby charges his gun
b (release)= kirby shoots a homing round
b (tap X times up to 5 after shooting said homing bullet)= kirby shoots more homing bullets
b (close to an enemy)= kirby whips the enemy with his gun

That seems very similar to Zero suit Samus's Attacks from SSBB. It would be a good idea if they did that so you could get diferent abilities if you absorbed either Samus in suit or Zero suit. (like with Zelda and Sheik)

Dunno, the first thing I thought of was Plasma Kirby, minus the spazzing out to charge mechanic.

To balance it out, the shots can't penetrate enemies like charged plama attacks ,shots do not bounce like laser and could kill enemies in two hits. pistol whipping would kill them on one.

Well, I meant initial reactions. On a basic level, Trigger Kirby is like an alternate version of Plasma Kirby, both shooting an energy projectile as a main attack.

(Actually at that point, even Beam Kirby could qualify, as his charged attack is also an energy blast)

Frog Kirby!!!!, kirby dons a frog or a tadpole suit.

Guard Move: kirby rapidly expands up to twice his size and deflates as fast, it can deflect projectiles and knockback some foes.

neutral B/foward B: frog tongue, kirby casts his tongue foward. enemies touched by the tongue are then stored in kirby´s mouth. pressing b again makes kirby spit them out

Down+B: tongue leash, kirby will whip viceously with his tongue.

Air B/any dpad button: same as frog tongue but in the direction you're pressing your dpad.

now some special properties about frog kirby is:
his tongue will stick to any surface and reel him to where it stuck.
he does short hops instead of walking, he leaps quite a distance if you try to dash. but then it goes back to short hops.
he has enchanced mobility in water. (like mario with the frog suit in SMB3)

new abilities, this time they are combination of two exisiting abilities:

Tengu, it comes in two flavors:
Wolf Tengu (Animal + ninja)
Crow Tengu (Wing + ninja)


for his wolf tengu attire, its just his animal form but much more wolf themed and white, whle wearing his helmet from his ninja form and the wolf ears coming out of it.

for the crow tengu, its just kirby wearing his ninja suit from kirby's return to dreamland, a pair of one-toothed Geta, and a small tengu mask not completely covering his face.


wolf tengu moveset:

B: a basic slashing attack with his claws, if held down then released you throw a fuuma shuriken.
dash + B: kirby jumps foward with his claws, on contact with an enemy, press B up to three tims to slah the enemy on the face. alternatively you can press any directional button + b to throw the enemy in that direction.
up/down/side + b (midair): same as the drill spin but when using down + b it causes kirby to dig through the floor avoiding any attack occuring above ground. you can re-emerge by pressing b.
Down + B (ground): kirby drops makibishi on thhe ground.
wall clinging: same as ninja, cant use kunai.


crow tengu moveset (mostly similar to wing):

B: like feather gun but shuriken/kunai are thrown instead of feathers.
also works while wall clinging.
dash + B: kirby does a corkscrew dash fowards.
down + B: kirby makes a corkscrew dive.
dash, down+B (midair): kirby makes a diving kick with his wings spread.
foward+b (near an enemy): kirby grabs an enemy
up+B (when grabbing an enemy): kirby piledirives the enemy.
side/down+B (when grabbing an enemy): kirby throws the enemy in the direction pressed.
A or the jump button(repateadly): kirby flies, his wings are black instead of the usual colors.
