This really is the best news for the series. They were the best games in the series, including Crystal. I wonder if they'll add the other regions so you can go to them after Kanto.

That would be awesome. After Beating Johto and Kanto, have more areas. Or maybe throw the anime a bone and have the orange islands, Complete with mini games challenges (as seen in the anime) and then the boss challenges.

Oh...and maybe finally...actually create a true Boss in the world of pokemon. Fighting one super pokemon or fighting a team of above strong pokemon (like Pokemon Stadium's Mewtwo boss.)

Honestly, when I was a kid I found Pokemon GS to take a awesome game and made it perfect. Now with the superior updates of the 4th generation I wonder how awesome these remakes will become.

Personally, I'm not surprised with these new remakes I mean, it's not like they haven't done this before. (I.E. Fire Red and Leaf Green) Really, I'm waiting to see how these new remakes fair in this new gamer base and how it would stand against the more expanded games like Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.

Pokémon Gold and Silver are still some of the best Pokémon games out there. Sure, later installments added even more to the game, but they all took things away, too.
Bug Catching Contest comes to mind. Returning to Kanto. Which means, of course, 16 Gyms total. Rematches with Red and Blue. If only later games like Ruby/Sapphire and Diamond/Pearl had those, they would have been so much better. And since they added things as well, they are probably going to be implemented in Gold/Silver as well. I hope so, at least.
