Stronghold - First Demo Released

The long awaited Wily Stronghold (a.k.a the contest game) demo has been released.
This simple demo contains the entire forest area and a boss fight against Karateman.
The demo does not feature any findable items as everything required is given to you right at the start.
Theres also quite a few unpolished graphics here and there, but everything should run fine.

Note: The game may require alot of CPU, I haven't tested it on older computers ^^;
Be sure to have everything closed pirior to running the game.

Megaman takes on the Hammer Joe, blocking the entrance.

After a quick pummeling in the intro, Megaman must now face a fully powered up Karateman.

Yay, demos. You want bug reports too I suppose? If I find any, I'll tell you.

[edit] Huh. Can't even play it. I can go to the title screen, press enter to view the contols and such, when I then press enter, it asks for some shf files. There were two files in the zip too, but even when all extracted to the same folder as the game, it didn't do anything. The SniperJoe file can't be found. After that, it says that an error has occured, and it has to be shut down. This was multiple times after each other. ACE, did you maybe forget to put some files in?

I was half expecting a bloated txt file going "April Fools!".
As Boilman said, there are missing files and the program crashes after displaying errors.
Should the exclusion of some spritesheets make the program crash like that?

The original file's only perpose was to crash on the "pre-loader". Sorry if I ended up crashing anyone's PC's or anything, but I doubt anyone still uses Windows 95.

I didn't have enough time to make a boss room for Karateman, so there was no background. Boss intros will look NOTHING like

Turns out someone found the hidden april fools message. I was originally going to upload a patch to "fix" the game, but it seems pointless now.<br>
Don't download the game file. It's 30 meg and theres nothing in it but fake files.<br>
Rename all the files in the folder to .psp and you'll find their paintshop images XP.

Yeah, in the beginning I thought it was just a little mistake on ACE's part, but after a while, I started to get that it was an April fools. I'm pretty thick regarding that. I just decided not to edit my post, 'cuz last year, I ruined the surprise by just jumping the gun and saying 'Guys, grow up, it's April Fools, course it is fake'.
