Strife

I must admit, there are some really nice custom sprites here. You guys have a lot of talent, and I hope that I can improve my spriting skills as well.
Soooo, I guess i'll show some of my sprite work here. :) Typically, I don't work from premade sprites (Mega Man and such). I take pride in being 90-100% original. ^^
None of the sprite sheets in this topic are public domain (i.e. you can't use them) unless stated otherwise by me.
Here's a sheet from my earlier days, when I always gave my sprites black outlines (I posted this on the old Cosmic Gaga forum). Once, I had attempted to make an action platform game similar to Ratchet and Clank. Eventually, I gave up on it, but I did manage to design and code over 40 weapons, each with their own unique function and attack.

The yellow guy in the bottom-right corner was intended to be the main character. I used the Mega Man X1 sprite as a guide for some of the poses, though I did not use any MM sprites as a base.
Now, let's fast forward to my present-day spriting style. I've done away with the black outlines in favor of a smoother style.
I have some experience with modding, specifically for the classic first-person shooter Doom, and more notably, a cereal box game that uses the exact same engine called Chex Quest. Anyway, I designed some custom enemies and sprites for my Chex Quest mod...

These are probably some of my best works. Typically my shading isn't that heavy, but in this case, I wanted my custom sprites to look good with the rest of the game's graphics.
Well anyway, i'll update this topic with new sprites as I develop them. Comments are most certainly welcome. ^^
