It's been confirmed.

Osama Bin Laden is dead.

He was killed one week ago, the USA has his body and this time has been taken to DNA test it.

The leader of the world's most dangerous terrorist group is dead.

Update.
He was killed one week ago, inside of a mansion in Islamabad, Pakistan by US forces in a firefight.
The USA now has his body and using Bin Laden's family, they confirmed it was him.

Actually he was killed in a house in Abbottabad, just over 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the Pakistan capital Islamabad.

He was also buried at sea in accordance to Muslim traditions.

Now I'm wondering how the forces who killed him are going to divide the 27 million dollar bounty for his ass.

I understand that he was an evil man and that he did many terrible things, but I don't believe that his death will make any difference. When you fight terrorism, you don't fight people, you have to fight an ideal. Those don't typically die with people.

This logic is faulty, of course the ideal will continue alive and, as long as it keeps as big as it was, someone will be fully willing to "command" the other believers. Hell, they themselves can easily select a new leader [my geography teacher especulates it could be extremist egyptian doctor Ayman al-Zawahri].

Well, when you kill a leader like Osama who believes in these ideals, will strengthen the ideal in the other believers on his side and they will see him as a hero that died for what, in their eyes, was the right cause. As long as people believe in that ideal, people like Osama will just keep on crawling out of the ground no matter how many times we stomp them.

I fear this is only the beginning as more people depending on their beliefs will probably join the fight.

Only problem with that is that the more leaders we kill, the more martyrs are made, and the more people will join their cause.
