The hand looks deformed on that one, and in the first one, he appears to be sitting down.

the first is very good...
and the second one is not bad either (thought, i prefear the first one :P ) ...

Wow, you don't see pencil shading much with anime.
These are nice, you've got a good grasp on expressions, but your anatomy seems a little shaky on the second. (I'm not really one to talk though... >>)
