Neo Girl started to write her story, so why shouldn't I?

*cracks fingers*

Lets get stated.

Notes
*I've changed the date that originally had for this from 205x to 203x.

*DLN-01 (v2) is the upgrade DLN-01 model that is Megaman.

* the mass produced civilian assistance DLN-01 (v2) do have minds and different personalities.

*the mass produced army DLN-01 (v2) do not have a personality or mind like the true megaman.

*the only army mech with a mind is DLN-01 (v3) codename: Alpha. He is the one to control all military drones.

In the year 203X, Dr. Light, beloved robotocist and "father", has grown ill. He knows he does not have long for this world. However, he has one last project he hopes to finish before his time comes.

Down in the underground lab, Light worked tirelessly for weeks. Sparks flew the the air like tiny insects as he welded and molded the metal into the shape of a hollow man. This shell would revolutoinize labor and allow humans to perform tasks that only machines could accomplish. As he put the finishing touches on his latest creation, a door-bell rang. Startled, light looked at the video monitor that was hooked up to a camera feed from the front entrance. Standing there were to figures. The first was a tall, slim man. His faced marked with a white beard even longer and fully than Thomas' own. The second, was no more than 2 and a half feet in hieght, and was held in the man's arms. Thomas immediatly recognized them. He pressed the button on the wall labeled "talk".

" Ah, hello Connor." buzzed through the speaker mounted obove the door-bell.
"I'm sorry I didn't un- *cough* unlock the door earlier. I lost track of time."

There was a short beeping sound followed by click. The door unlocked and slid open revealing a blue haired boy. Or at least thats what he appeared to be. No, this was no "boy". He was in fact a machine, and some might say Doctor Light's son. The android smiled and welcomed them in.

"You must be the doctor's brother, Connor?" asked the automaton.
The man grinned and nodded, stepping through the door and into the hallway.
"Allow me to introduce myself," continued the machine, "My name is Rock."

Rock noticed the child, now hiding behind his father. Rock knelted down to the toddler's height.

"And you must be Tony."
Tony looked back at Rock, still quite afraid of his "cousin".
"...Y-Yeah..." he mumbled, "Where's Uncle Tom?"
"Thats right, he wanted to show you two something. Follow me, I'll take you to him." replied Rock.

They followed the android into the basement-converted-to-lab. The doctor wiped the sweat from his forehead and greeted his brother and nephew. Light grinned.

"I'm gla-*cough* glad you could m-*cough* make it." said Light, struggling with every word.

They all could see that he was in much pain, but Light felt better knowing his family was here. Light fought his way from his coughing and weazing to speak. He walked over to a sheat and removed it. Underneath lay a few pieces of armor painted read. Painting it red was a tradition for all of Lights prototypes.

"W-what is that?" stammered Connor.
"Something that will revolutionize mankind..." Rock chimed in.

"Yes, that is correct, Rock. But... How would you know that? I didn't have you aid me with this." Light asked.
"I keep tabs on all your projects... I worry about your safety doctor." Replied the false human.
"No need to worry anym-*cough* anymore, my son, this is my final project. And Connor, this is wh- *cough* why I called you here." said the old man, his coughing spasm returning.
"What do you need, Thomas?'' asked Connor.
"I need you to continue the research on this-"
Light reached into his lab coat and pulled out a small device. It had to have been no bigger than a bottle cap and thin as paper. Light grinned.

"This will aid the armor to aid in construction. It can quickly re-*cough* repair almost any non-organic material and can even repair mach- *cough* machines."

As the adults talked, Tony was getting quite bored. He got up and began to wander around the lab. The child did this for several minutes before coming to a stop at a pile of small broken construction drones. Thier eyes still wide open as if the were active, a detail that startled the boy.

"UNCLE TOM!" yelped the toddler, "What are these?!?"
"Huh? Oh, yes! I *cough* I brought out a few broken mets to show the function of this project. To-*cough* Tony, can you bring me one please?"

Tony nodded and slowly gabbed the closest one. He carried it over to the work table and set it down. Light grinned and ruffled his nephew's hair. He then took the gloves and inserted the device into a small slot in the palm.

"Observe, this met will be fully operational."

He place the gloved hand on the ''t'' of the met's helmet. The glove began to glow as the metal in the construction drone began to twist and grow. Within seconds, the mets eyes lit up and it began to chirp and beep, a signal of a system reboot. Light removed his hand and the met gave a chime. The signal for "all systems functioning".They all looked at the small mechanoloid in astoishment. No words were said for some time. Until Light broke the silence.

"Rock, could you go tell Roll to come down here please?"
"Of course, doctor," replied the blue haired boy.

Rock motioned for Tony to follow. Something the young one was more than happy to do, given that he was frightened to death of those broken "monsters". Rock took Tony through wing after wing of the building and finally stopped at a single door. This door wasn't like the other doors in the building. This door was made of wood, an old and outdated material. Rock knocked on the door a few times. The door opened, but it didn't slide like the doors before, it turned inwards. This was all very strange to Tony, however Rock didn't seem to notice, or didn't care.

Behind the door stood a girl. But like Rock, she too was a complex machine. She wore a simple red dress with a green bow in her blonde hair. Her bright blue eyes lit up when she saw her "brother". She smiled and stepped out in the hallway.

''Whats up, Rock?" asked the female android.
"Doctor Li-" Rock replied before being cut short.
"Oh! Who's your friend? He's so cute!"

Tony looked at the blonde, confused. And before he knew it he couldn't feel his cheaks anymore. The girl had to actualy be forced off him by her brother. Rock scolded her before relaying the reason he came to her room.

"I'm sorry," the girl said," Please forgive me."

Tony winced from the pain but could see she meant no harm. He forced a smile and nodded.

"By the way, my name is Roll." she added before heading back down to the lab.
"Come on, Tony. Lets head back to the lab." said Rock.
"Do we have to?" asked Tony, a hint of disapointment in his voice.

Rock chuckled and led the boy back down to the lab. When they arrived, Dr. Light was just finishhing a coffee with his brother. He took one last sip before speaking to the three who had just returned.

"Rock, Roll, I want you to listen carefully. I want you t-*cough* two to be strong. I have some very sad news to tell. I got ba-*cough* back my test results.

Rock already knew what the doctor was going to say. He began to tear up.

"D-Doctor...." Rock stammered, lost for words.
"I don't have long for this world," Light continued," but I want to spend what time I do have left with my 'children'. Wich is why, with a heavy heart, I turn all of my research to Connor."
"I won't let you down, Tom." said Connor, fighting back his tears.

A decade passed and Light had moved on. In his last request, he asked that his DLN-01 (v2) model be mass produced, something that shocked Connor, and be used to help people. In a short time after his death, there were more than a quarter thouseand of them in existence. For a time things were peaceful. That is until the government took over.

The army saw the battle potential in the little androids and acquired the blueprints for them. However, the army felt that giving the machines a mind would make them less efficiant soldiers, so they stripped the AI program from them making them little more than mass produced zombies. To counter this, the military built a leader unit, Model number DLN-01 (v3), codename: alpha.
This unit would command the DLN mech army. It was also given a combat ability greater tha that of the drones in order to defend itself.

Even with its advanced AI, it had a defect. It did not follow commands. Fearing an overthrow of the military by this "alpha" unit, they attempted to "retire'' it. Suffice it to say, they failed... Horribly. The command android set the compound ablaze. Blood stained and badly damged, it stood above the countless bodies of soldiers, shouting in a thunderous voice towards the heavens:

"I am no longer 'DLN-01 (v3) codename: alpha'. I am ALPHAMAN!"

Connor had already prepared for this. He knew nothing good could come from using robots for war. He had spent the last few months upgrading the armor his brother had made. He beefed up the plating and strengthened the mechanical muscles giving it the same power and agility as Rock himself. Rock donned his blue armor and set out to the compound. Connor followed shortly after.

A blue light streaked through the sky, quickly following the path of destruction. The beam touched down in the firey ruins of the military base, with walls caked in blood and blast marks. The light faded revealing a young man, clothed in blue. Rock, or as he prefered to be called when on a mission, "MegaMan", started following the darkened corridors, lighted only by the fire in the distance. He was just turning a corner when a shot was fired. He darted his vision to the hostile. What he saw startled him more than the shot did. What stood before him was a mirror image of himself. The enemy fired off three more shots, all misses, and ran off. He was about to give chase when a small voice chirped in his ear.

"...ega...n... MegaMan? Can you hear me?"
"Roll? What are you-"
"I'm here to kelp you navigate. I know Doctor Light normaly would help but-"
"Its okay, Roll, I understand. So, how many of those things are we talking here?"
"About 50, but the number is rapidly in creasing."
"Options?"
"None. Its a straight path, no other roads are available. However, back up is on the way."
"Who'd you get?"
"ProtoMan and Connor. They should arrive within a few minutes."
"Wait, Connor? How can he hel-"

MegaMan couldn't finish his sentence, blinded by dual red lights. One faded revealing the visor clad "brother". The other, revealed a red and white figure, with glowing yellow eyes, who would be identified as Connor

"Need some help?" said ProtoMan grinning.
"What are we up against?" asked Connor.
"About 80 and growing" chirped the voice in everyones ear.
"Lets go!" commanded MegaMan.

The team followed the corridor, until they reached a door. MegaMan had sean this all before. He knew that what lied behind it would be a strong adversary. The door clicked open and they darted through, busters ready. What lied ahead was a gruesome sight. Bodies were strewn about the floor. The remaining army mechas stared down the trio, awaiting order from a higher command. A saphire light flashed in the center of the room. What stood there was a midnight blue with gold trim armored homonoid. The figure gave the team a sly grin.

"I figured you'd show up Mega. But you brought back up? No matter."

The enemy motioned for the drones. They lept to thier positions with no hesitation. Then, without warning, a shot was fired. It sruck one of the drones in the forehead, disaballing it. The rest lunged at thier attacker. The battle began. Proto and Connor lept to the left and right respectively, leaving Mega to head down the middle to face the leader. Firing round after round laser fire at the mechs. The enemies numbers quickly fell until only one was left alive. Alpha.

Even though his drones were gone, he was anything but scared. In fact, he praised the heroes.

"Well done, well done indeed." he said clapping his mechanical hands. "But, lets see you handle this! AlphaBuster!"

The menace retracted his hand leaving the egg shaped laser gun in its place, A fire fight quickly followed. MegaMan ducked behind some rubble, leaving Connor and ProtoMan to sneak in a few quick plasma bursts. Only a few hit thier target, but even they didn't appear to do any damage to him. MegaMan released a sigh in annoyance. Leaping from his cover, he launched a devastating charge shot. It hit its mark with pinpoint accuracy. The smoke cleared and the demonic android stood there. Unwavering, it released its buster. Energy sprung forth in a fiery barage. The blast struck Rock in the shoulder, sending him flying into a metal girder. Rock was wounded, and Alpha knew this.

"...ck... Rock! You're hurt!"
"Gee, thanks, Roll! I couldn't tell." he snickered
"You can't fight like this, fall back!"
"NO! Not until I make this bastard pay for what he did to those soldiers! I can't let him hurt anyone else!"
"Roc...n't, you w...die!zzzzzzzzz"
"No other options, Roll"

He flicked the radio off. He scanned the room for his backup, or at least his missing arm.. And before he could comprehend what had happened, AlphaMan was face down in the rubble. ProtoMan fired another high concentrated energy strike. Mega knew this tactic. Proto was tapping into his nuclear core! However this was fatal to the prototype, as each shot took a huge chunk of power to fire. More power than he had. The visored hero lept to the menace's position, firing shot after shot, but it was pointless. The energy shots did only minor damage. The only thing they suceeded in was knocking him over. Out of the shadows, Connor arose, blood was dripping from his now helmetless face. He looked protoman in the eyes, or what he could see behind the visor anyway, and they both knew what had to be done. Blues nodded, and motioned for them to step back. Connor and the blue android were about to turn when a noise caught there attention. A whistle, to be procise. They turned and saw Blues, clutching the enemy by his arm. And in his free hand lay a golden scarf, worn and tattered from many a fight.

"B-Blues...?" Rock stammered
"I'll be joining the good doctor soon, kid." he grinned "But before I go, I want you to have this-"

He tossed the cloth over to his brother. Rock looked at it, awe struck. This was ProtoMan's scarf. He never took it off. Never. A shot was fired and he snapped back into reality as he ran for the exit of the chamber. He and Connor ran through each corridor in record time. They just made it out of the complex before they heard the sad, lonely whistle, followed by an explosion.

ProtoMan was dead. He had given his life for the cause of peace. Mega flopped to the ground. He was damaged to say the least. However, that was theleast of his problems. He glanced over at his comrade, who, too, has injured badly. Rock sat there, activatin his auto repair functions. For a time it was quiet. Connor looked off into space, pondering thier next move.

Then in the distance, a green mass came charging. In a ''v'' formation came an army of clones. MegaMan jumped up and readied his buster. He was about to fire, but he was blinded by a saphire light.

"Alpha! You son of a-"
"Now, now, Rock. No need to be hostile." replied AlphaMan sarcasticly
"I'm gonna rip you to shreads, you bastard!"

Connor stared in awe. He had never seen this side of Rock. Rock took a step towards the gold trimmed abomonation. His buster glowed. A charge was being formed.

"You killed my brother!"
"He killed himself."
"You murdered all those people!"
"They tried to retire me."
"You are defective. Thats what must be done!"
"Defective, or self aware? Surely you've questioned this. As machines we are all eventualy scrapped, but why?"
"I don't know. But I do know that mass murder is not the way to remedie the situation!"
"Silence!"

AlphaMan launched his attack. It struck MegaMan square in the chest. It wasn't forcefull enough to kill him but it disabled his weapons core. His charge shot faded and his hand returned.

"Rock! Get out of here, now!"
"But Connor!"
"No, you're too damaged to fight!"
''I can't just leave you here."
"I said go. Thats an order. Remember your three laws. You must obey."

Rock warped away, and Roll chimed into Connors ear.

"Aren't you coming?"
"No. I have to finish this before it gets out of hand!"
"As you wish, just don't die, okay?"
"Heh. No promises."

Connor launched an all out assault on the saphire android. He landed blow after blow, and Alpha had no idea what hit him. Then, when Connor was readying his final attack, AlphaMan had his army engulf the old man. He then ordered them to retreat. He looked down at the broken pile that lay at his feet. The thing coughed up blood and struggled to get up and remain standing. Alpha backed up a little and looked him over. He grinned and applauded the bloody mess.

"It appears I underestimated you, old man."
"Y-you..."
"Very well. I'll some mercy. Seeing as you survived that, I'll let you live. For now."

The saphire beam left.

"T-too overconfident in his army..." he thought to himself. "I'm coming back, Roll."

He teleported back to Light Labs, and was greated by Roll and a few medical droids. He shoved the medics away and went down the corridor.

"Where's my son?"
"In the other work station, helping with Rock's repairs."

Connor stumbled into the room and fell to his knees.

"Dad!" exclamed the teenaged boy,"You need help, now!"
"No. Listen, Tony. Your old man's not gonna make it out this one..."
"Don't talk like that." He started to tear up, "You're going to make it."
"Son, I want you to do me a favor. I want you to stop that madman."

There was a white flash and Connor no longer wore the armor. He sat there, left in his labcout and dress pants again. He held out his hand, and in it was a small chip, with the codename DCRN 00 engraved on it. Tony took the gift and his father went limp.

"I won't let you down, dad. I will fight along side those who oppose that menace. I will win. And I will bring back the peace."

He hoisted the corpse onto a medical table and looked back at Rock. He returned the same look of worry. The boy placed the chip on the back of his neck. Prongs came out of the corners and dug into his spinal cord. They then attached themselves to his nerve endings and the assimilation was complete. He and the armor were one and the same now. He donned the armor and placed his hand on Rock's forehead.

"H.R.S activate..."

No, your character doesn't fit in to the story. Or the megaman universe. However I'll try to see what I can do.

Actually I think its a good thing he doesn't mix his story with yours. Really, neogirl, let your brother have his own stuff without being taken in by him.

Bravo Neo Man...and i suppose Blaze Will be introduced as apart of this i might ask?

Heavy and Metal.

Red... red.... red prototypes. OH GOD IT'S TRUE.

Anyway, I'm liking this. I never really imagined Doctor Light having relatives before... except I think I once read a terrible fan fiction in which it turned out Light and Wily were brothers or something. God strike down whoever wrote it.

Anyway, I hope you'll continue with this. If this will be anything like your Flipnotes (is that what it's called?) seem to make the story of Neo Man, I can't wait!

Replacement of MMX much? I swear, I know this is a fanfic, but this makes no sense. Not saying its bad, just no sense

Take into account the Megaman X was made before that, so naturally Dr.Light would be assumed.. well and truly..... DEAD. So 203X - wait wha? X is the roman numeral for 10..... so its 2040? Dr.Light didnt live that long, No... just No. Good plot, but Time, Place.... just NO.

Quint, in my fanfic, I hint that X has bean created(I havent done so yet, butin later chapters) in secret. and the roman numeral x also means infinite possiblities, like a variable in math. And when used in a date such as 20xx it means a time between 2000 and 2099. So I say that its 203x to be specific, and I plan for the events of mm1-10 to take place in 201x. The time makes sense.

Oh and I plan on X still under going his moral tests. This is not,I repeat not a transition from classic to x series fan fic. I count this fan fic as another mm classic game.

...I...do not see any resemblance to X in here, I am sorry.

On another note, MM1-10 occours between 200X(MM1)-201X(MM2 and later), so you could possibly assume MM1 to even be at 2009.

My thoughts exactly, lern.

BTW, whats the max size of a post? 'Cuz I was wondering if I should keep editing the first one or make a new one for each chapter.

Oh wow, commander, that is stupid and extremely childish, you can't get me on the forum so you want to kill 'me' in some guy's fanfic which you've never even heard of until now?

Goodness, CJ, you always were on my 'Most Hated' list, but how could you sink so low? I mean really, you should get points for unoriginality because that my friend is amazing. I've no idea how you got so unoriginally childish.

okay, since noone answered my question on max post size, I added a poll to get some answers... hopefully.

I'm not voting as I think both. You should upload new entries on a new post and add a link to the post on your first post.

that...

actualy is a good idea.

I've seen it done before, but can someone tell me how to link to a single post?

Jees, Neo, You should know this stuff. :P
A. You could either just copy pasta the text onto the original post in a new spoiler
B. You could link the post, like so;
1. Look at my Avatar in this post.
2. Look up, see the date?
3. Look right, See the #24?
This is the post number.
4. See the underline beneath it? That means you can click it to see the post on its own page without the rest of the posting page.
5. Copy pasta the URL onto the first post and VOILA.

Chapter 1

Man on Fire

--------------------------------------

The city streets lay in ruin. A figure of red hot steel jumps from building to building, leaving ash and flame behind. The figure stops at the tallest tower, melting his wayto the top. He is not alone. Seven men await him at the highest floor.

A red light darts through the sky of Monstropolis, touching down in the town center.

"zzzz wha..zzzzz... What are you doing, Tony?" the navigator buzzed.
"Heh, what's it look like?" replied Tony, leaping through the firestorm.
"Something stupid, no doubt. Why don't you wait for back up? We still don't even know what we're up against."
"Back up? You mean Rock? We couldn't find him, remember? He probobly went 'there' again."
"You're most likely right. I worry about him sometimes..."
"Hey! Brighten up. He'll be fine. After all, he's MegaMan."
"Yeah..."

The smoke was getting thinner by each step. Eventualy, a building appeared in the distance.

"Okay, Roll, I'm at the tower. Any suggestions or advice?"
"Three things. One, there are no organic lifeforms in there, but I can detect several mechanoliods."
"Alright, and?"
"I detect Wily created robots as well..."
"Wait. Wily? Didn't he die a decade ago?"
"Yeah, but its possible his 'children' lived on. After all, they are illegal 'bots. They have no scrap date."
"Hmm...true... And three?"
"Three. Don't die."
"No promises."
"Your father said the same thing... Please. Tony, don't do anything dumb, okay?"
"Aw, you're no fun. Fine, if things get too tough, I'll retreat. Closing radio signal. I don't wanna be detected."

Tony darted into the building, buster drawn and charging. He charged up the stair wells until he reached some resistence betwean floors four and five. Three mets lay in hiding under thier helmets. Then, without warning, the three raised the helmets and rapid fired plasma at the red-armor-clad Tony. He took his chance and struck two of them at once with a charged shot. THe remaining met ducked under its helmet agian. Tony had given up waiting for it to open its shell again and continued up the stairs. He reached the tenth floor and decided to hunt down an operational elevator. He wondered the corridors for a time before finding an elevator. He set it to head up to the top floor. Floor 80. He could feel the elevator shaking before he heard a buzzsaw like noise followed by a series of snapping. The cables of the elevator had been cut and he began to plummet down. Thinking fast he fired a series of shots at the ceiling of the small room. The roof became loose and he knocked it off the kart. Leping from the death trap he grabbed a hanging cable and started climbing. He reached floor 79 and blasted open a hole in the wall to get out of the elevator shaft. He was tired and decided to rest here for a minute or so. Thinking back to the cables , he wondered what had cut them. Then it hit him. A buzzsaw noise, a blade had cut the wires. A "metal blade".

"Guess I shoulda' used the stairs."

After scanning the area for enemies, Tony darted for the stairs. Upon his arrival he was greated with about 10 Suzies sliding back and forth between the stairs. They were no trouble for his buster and he dispatched them quickly. He reached the top floor, wich consisted mostly of offices and a closet or two.

He slowly walked down the hall. Turning the corner, he noticed footprints. Mechanical footprints, that somehow scorched the tiled floor. He readied his buster and countinued to follow the trail. It stopped at the largest office in the building. He could here atleast eight voices coming from the other side of the door.
