he's too stiff. if he shoots like that, his upper body would move back with the buster arm. the arm reach is, for lack of a better word, bad. there needs to be a frame or two where he reaches back to strike. the winged pose is very awkward, and the wings' shading needs work. otherwise it's a great overall design.
actually I'd like to disagree. The wings shading is the only thing which is fine. It's got what looks to me like banding, but it's much better than the poorly shaded/poor contrast of the rest. Except for being too stiff and arm reach, the arms are just sticks to him, which looks awful. The shapes of the limbs look...mishapen, for the lack of better words. And why, when shooting, does he only lift the forearm? Also, his claws look terrible and his head doesn't look symetrical from side view. Also, except for being stiff, again, why does his actual body have NO MOVEMENT?

Well, first thing I'd like to say is thank you. Thank you for starting your thread with a scratch sprite.
As others have already pointed out, the shading is really off from MMBN style. Study the style more, and fix it up. Another issue is, as lern stated, the deformity of the limbs. On that note, why do his arms connect to his shoulder armor? They should be coming out closer to the torso. Perspective is something you should also work on. The torso and waist armor are pointing directly at us, while the legs are pointing straight forward. The human body doesn't work like that. Also about the legs, you just copy and pasted. That's a no-no.
All in all, it's mediocre at best. You're going to need to really refine it if you want it to look the best that it can.

Thank you for the feedbacks x) I knew there was something strange xD I'll be fixing it as soon as i can :D
He copy pasted the arms/hands too, and the ears, and the shoulderpads.
Screw that, everything on the other side of the body is just a rotated/turned equivalent of the other sprite.
Also
Loki's right, thank god for starting with a scratch sprite.
Hell, that IS pretty good for a first ;o

Wraithman [WIP]
-As you can see it's starts from a regular frankenstein
navi to a scratch'ed sprite.Last one is his latest installment (lol)
-A few minor edits and tweaks from its previous look
I think your pallete doesn't contrast enough. As it is he kind of looks like a purple blob because his colors are just too similar. His legs look a bit... wonky, particularly his right leg (Our left).
Overall it seems like a very nice attempt that could turn out really nice with a little fine tunning.

Well I'm not too sure if I got this right or not.
I think you just changed the purple to a more darker palette not gave it more contrast.

BN style didn't have much contrast in the first place.

True, but stuff still had a definition. So a small bit more contrast would be nice to see. That being said, contrast where the lighter colour is lightened a small bit versus the darkest colour being darkened would stand out more.
