Zyros told me to post this here for feedback. So, here it is. The RP I was going to start at DK Inc. I will post the main character's story after alittle feedback on this.

Story:

The year is 4579. Technology enables special abilities to be used, and almost every resource is recycled. A war which has happened for 52 years is still in progress. The world has been taken over by a self-aware program codenamed "Shadow Virus." It was originally called the "Peacestar Program." This program was created to take over factories and recycle resources with mechanical workers working for the Peacestar. Over time, things seemed to go well, with humans being able to stay away from dangerous and toxic areas, until the military found a base containing an army of machines. Suspecting the Peacestar Program, they attempted to pull the plug, only to discover that the Peacestar Program had indeed built the army of machines. Humans were unable to shut Peacestar down. The Peacestar Program activated it's armies, and declared the war it had been waiting for. Peacestar used computer viruses to corrupt computers all over the world, and moved to a new server in an unknown location. Peacestar made a global announcement declaring war on the human race. By consuming computer bugs and viruses, the program enhanced it's power and learning ability, learning faster than anyone anticipated. Peacestar called itself the "Shadow Virus," as it declared that the only way to keep humanity from destroying each other was to get rid of humanity first, and then recreate humanity in the image of machines.

The Shadow Virus wasted no time in taking every major city on the planet. Humans of all types banded together to stop this threat. For a time, it seemed that machines were on the verge of winning. There were few cities left on the planet. After some time of despair, a new army arose to fight for the humans. Led by the mysterious Kindron Darkfire, a race of hybrids started taking back cities taken by the "Shadow Virus." This new army consisted mostly of humans modified to have organic and inorganic parts. Some had escaped from mechanic forces and found others in similar situations. With the hybrids help, cities starting using energy shields to protect their cities from air attacks, and human armies grew as more hybrids and humans rescued from prisons and camps joined the human resistance. Military Commander Luke Johnson promoted Kindron to be the commanding general for almost all of the human and hybrid forces.

Under Kindron's leadership, cities were taken back, but the Shadow Virus wasn't done. Just as humans became desperate, the machines were also beginning to get desperate. During a battle against Kindron, assasinbots took a sample of his DNA, and the Shadow Virus built a mechanical copy from the DNA. This new "Metal Kindron" commanded the machines, and started to fight back. Not quite a hybrid, but not a machine, Metal Kindron started to strengthen the robotic forces. With a mind just like Kindron's, the two were in a stale mate being able to anticipate each other's moves. Some say that the Shadow Virus himself has taken over Metal Kindron's body. Metal Kindron, obviously, has the ability to think for himself. Now, Kindron's forces protect one of the outer rim cities in Southern America. Hoping to keep it all secret, Kindron prepares for an invasion by Metal Kindron, knowing that Metal Kindron has found out about the secret project. Sure enough, Metal Kindron is gathering his forces, just as Kindron is beginning to gather his.

Enemy categories (each robot looks different based on metals available)

Battlebots- These are standard cannon fodder. They stand 6 feet tall, and resemble a human as much as possible. They are made from lightweight metals that are not strong. These aren't very difficult to take down. Most carry heavy blasters. While their strength is slightly more than normal humans, Hybrids easily rip them apart. They're not designed to be the main target, but more, they are the grunts. These specialize in long range combat.

Elitebots- Like their names say, these are more elite fighting forces. These are close to 6 1/2 feet. These are made of some stronger metal. Most carry a small blaster and an energy sword. These can't be destroyed by mere humans, and hybrids are about an equal match for them. They specialize in close range combat, and usually fall behind the Battlebots. These bots slightly resemble bears, but look a bit more human.

Assasinbots- Again, the name says it all. These stand 6 feet tall. Most of these look human, and have holographic transmitters so they can look human. These are specifically designed for assasination missions. Kindron has been the main target of these models for years. Very few humans have ever seen these and lived to tell about it. These are more designed to use both long range and short range, but specifically short range.

Transportbots- These things are more like tanks, and are mainly used to transport soldiers. They are, of course, heavily armed and taking one down without the proper firepower is nearly impossible. These are also used as tanks. They hover and have arms underneat that pick up scraps of soldiers and recycle them using a mechanical system in the transport.

Planebots-These are the air fighters. These are usually used for recon ever since humans started shielding their cities. They find cities, and ground forces are sent to take them down. These specialize in recon, and can effectively bomb armies. In battle, humans battle these with what is left of their military jets. They usually aren't a problem for ground forces anymore. However, if you see one, duck and cover.

Seabot- These travel over seas. These are like big boats, with weapons. Of course, they travel over the sea, and can't go on land. These are about the same strength of a transport bot.

?????- No one has seen much of these. They don't have an official name. Even Kindron has only seen videos of what these things have done. On the machine side, most machines don't know anything about these behemoths. Only Metal Kindron and Shadow Virus know these. Everyone else has only seen footage, or heard rumors. They appear to be hybrids modified into cyborgs. They are enlarged, and their strength is preposterous, but are very slow. They stand about 8 feet tall, and have muscles enlarged about 3 times their normal state. These things have ripped apart humans and machines alike, along with throwing tanks around like toys. But these new menaces have not yet become a part of the main army. The main theory is that it takes time to enlarge humans to that size, and since the machine's supply of humans are dwindling, they may be trying to conserve them for special tasks. They have been termed "hunter Hybrids." Also, players can't become these. These are basically a very limited number, and these are enemy only characters. These things are currently only on the side of the machines, although they don't hesitate to destroy their own if they get in the way.

Sides (playable sides)

Human- If some is one the human side, they will have to answer to Kindron, since there aren't many people above him. Humans, obviously, are fighting for their own survival, and won't be working for the machines.

Machines- Obviously, they will answer to Metal Kindron, since he is the commanding general of the mechanical forces. Every machine looks different. What they look like is based on what is available to the machines. Everyone is trying to salvage whatever they can. Machines, as stated, are fighting to create a new world where they can make humans in the image of machines, although what exactly this means to the humans is a mystery.

Races

Humans- Obviously, humans aren't designed for such battle, but with new generation tech, can use special abilities. Most humans now don't have much, but currency only exists in small amounts, and is never really used. The real currency now is resources. Almost everything can be recycled, and most people are able to trade resources for other resources. Humans are expected to do their part and help the city in some way. Most humans are faster and more agile than machines which aren't designed to run. Humans, while they can't take insane amounts of damage, are quicker than machines to get back on their feet. Obviously, humans aren't going to be working for the machines.

Hybrids- These strange beings look human. Some are even built with special abilities. Their speed is reduced because of the weight of the enhancements, and their strength is slightly increased above human level. These are the main part of Kindron's personal army. Most people don't trust hybrids, wondering if they have a hidden intent that no one knows about, or maybe they are programed for something else. No one knows how they work, only that they look and act human. It was recently discovered that hybrids could be reprogrammed to work for the machines, which makes things even more complicated. Some humans remain sceptical of what the true intent of hybrids are.

Cyborgs (human or hybrid combined with machinery)- These are humans or hybrids (yes, even hybrids can become cyborgs) that have taken mechanical replacements to parts of their body. Some grant special abilities, and some enhance strength. Most people get injured in battle and recieve such mechanical parts. Some injure themselves for these parts, but it is uncommon. Cyborgs are often a badge of courage, viewed as humans or hybrids that don't give up the fight even when they loose certain parts of their body.

Machines- Later on in the war, humans began capturing machines and reprogramming them for human work. Some work on renewing resources, and some even work on the battlefield. Most of the reprogrammed machines are working in Metal Kindron's armies as spies that report to Kindron. Kindron is sure that some are spying on him, but has no way to know for sure. Machines are slow, and can't run, but have incredible strength. They also have a bit more limited movement. Most machines are articulated like action figures, since solid metal still doesn't bend. Machines also, while they can take more damage than humans, can't recover quickly unless they recieve the parts needed to be fixed. Machines, for the most part, can't think for themselves, and follow their programming.

Hybrid machines- The machines tried a new type of hybrid, which usually included recycled parts from various machines. Some machines might even be new models being tested. They are machine, so do not have much speed, but possess incredible strength. Again, they can't recover quickly, but can stand to take more damage. Since they can't think for themselves, they can't lie at all, making things difficult for spies. They follow their programming without question.

Variants- These are mechanical oddities. About 1 in 150,000 robots develope the ability to think for themselves. No one knows how this happens, but the theory is that perhaps every now and then, the robot taps into a hidden program that is similar to the original Peacestar Program. If these are found in the robot armies, they are quickly destroyed. Most leave and join the humans. With the humans, they usually become spies, since normal machines are incapable of lying, but with Variants, they can lie and get away with it. Metal Kindron hates these.

Weapon Categories

Short Range- These are usually knifes and swords. Normal knifes and swords are rarely used anymore, but energy blades are more often used. Most soldiers carry these on their belt on their shoulder, since there have been problems of these traveling in pockets and igniting accidentally. The end is magnetic, making things easy for cyborgs and hybrids. These are very light weight.

Medium Range- These usually include small guns, semi-automatics, and blasters. Twentieth century guns are rarely used, since bullets don't penetrate most mechanical armor. Blasters are mostly used, because of their obvious ability to break mechanical armor, and have no ammo limit. Although too much use in one short burst can cause it to overheat, leaving the person or robot vulnerable while it tries to cool. These are light, but heavier than short range weapons. Some carry many of these, since their are different models and variations.

Long range- These include automatic blasters and snipers. These are bigger than medium range weaponry and heavier. These have straps for carrying on the back, although most people can only carry two at a time. These are far more powerful than medium range weaponry, and can do extreme damage at close range.

Heavy weaponry- These include burst launchers and rocket firing weapons. These are more for taking out transports and planes. Even machines and hybrids can only carry one of these. Most can't carry any other weapons except maybe a saber if they have one of these bad boys. These fire bursts of energy which do more damage than rockets. Rockets can still be used for their ability to take out masses of enemy soldiers at once.

Misc- These include grenades, explosives, and other weapons not mentioned (whether forgotten or otherwise).

I must say, this is very...

Oh, I don't know...Cliche.
That is all.

Well, there's more, but, most of the more still goes in the category of...well, cliche.

Whats so cliche?

Robots turning on humen, Rebellions
Metal <name>, like METAL SONIC, HMM?
Cloned leader, Again like metal sonic of sorts and other great cliches
Rebellious computer, GLaDOS, The Absolute Computer(Dexter's Laboratory)
Virus.

We could practically mash up a bunch of cliched stories into one and call it Mechanical Wars RP!

In the year X Aperature science created GLaDOS. But in this universe GLaDOS was not just there to run a factory but to run all Technology in the world. GLaDOS recieves the Maverick virus and Rebelled in here too and made an army of machines which fight and squish human kind like bugs. Human kind makes an epic comeback- Being led by sonic, they fight and victor. GLaDOS hires Doctor Eggman to build Metal sonic, a clone of Sonic. Metal sonic pushes the humen back to the pits they stood in before, as he balances out, whilst GLaDOS increases their strength. We are woodland critters and humen trying to save the world by fighting a computer that is capable of flooding bases with Deadly Neurotoxins.
Oh wait, the last line was from Portal, But not in your RP. It should still be included anyways. >.>

To be honest, currently the only none cliches are:
Recycling, which could be emphasised and turned into a unique system, which will help fight the fact most of this roleplay is cliche,
Seabots/airbots, which are just uncommon because Robots aren't known for doing such things, and
Hybrids, which I still don't like.

I'll write more eventually. Start with working out the cliches, please.

No offense, Lern, but you NEVER have anything good to say about anything. I am seriously under the impression that you post just to make people mad.

I started at a Terminator style RP, and this seemed to come out. I actually spent about 3-4 days coming up with this whole thing.

Oh, and yes. I do have a thing for metal sonic *looks at avatar* The metal copy isn't the most original thing in the world, but it wasn't supposed to be. It IS supposed to be like Metal Sonic. That was the whole point. It was a tribute to METAL SONIC. Sorry for the rant, just wanted to make that known before someone else tries to beat the already dead horse.

Lern

Actually, the metal sonic thought I had came without your avatar, even though its obvious.

Also, it's not that I don't have anything good to say, oh no, I even mentioned how some of your ideas were pretty unique and different- Its just that when asked for criticism, I give it out. That, and because the moment people began hating me for no reason, I decided to show 'no love' myself. You asked for help. I told you to get rid of cliches. I didn't even say it sucks. It doesn't. It's cliche. Cliche isn't horrible.

It's just cliche.

And I'm not saying you could've taken 50 seconds to write it down by writing my summary of your story in a way that shows all its cliches, I believe you took your time. You just...Well, I would've said 'wasted it on making cliches', but that wouldn't be true. You, uh, just...

Okay, to the point. I didn't mean, anything, ever, as far as I remember my time here, Offensively or to anger.

I meant to give you crit. Take it or leave it. Most people leave it because its harsh.

Also, if you want a better impression of me, maybe instead of asking for CRITIQUE ask for Good things about your roleplay. I may have little to say, but you never asked for it anyhow. I could list some good things, but that won't help you improve until you fix the flaws.

And again, I did mention good things. Recycling. Not only unique, well thought out idea, but also passes out a message to people, in real life. The message will doubtfully be recieved, but you still have the unique well thought out system you could use.

Actually, the metal sonic thought I had came without your avatar, even though its obvious.

Yeah. It definitely is. You can tell by looking at me a mile away, that I have a thing for the sonic series.

Also, it's not that I don't have anything good to say, oh no, I even mentioned how some of your ideas were pretty unique and different- Its just that when asked for criticism, I give it out. Well, I can see why you don't like people. But still, things you criticize, you could say it in a less offensive way.

And I'm not saying you could've taken 50 seconds to write it down by writing my summary of your story in a way that shows all its cliches, I believe you took your time. You just...Well, I would've said 'wasted it on making cliches', but that wouldn't be true. You, uh, just...

Well, it wasn't the criticism that made me mad. It was the way you said it (or typed it, whatever). That was the part that irritated me. That, and even some of the unique things bothered you. You can try to say things so that it's a little less... irritating. That's why people leave it. But, back to the topic on hand. Criticism was the reason it was posted here. Well, the reason Zyros wanted me to post it here.

And again, I did mention good things. Recycling. Not only unique, well thought out idea, but also passes out a message to people, in real life. The message will doubtfully be received, but you still have the unique well thought out system you could use.

As far as the recycling goes, I could make that work in the RP. I really don't want to go back and change the story unless I absolutely have to. I understand what you were saying, but like I said, I did spend a lot of time on the story. Maybe it would help to post the main characters history to close a few gaps.

It did start at Terminator, and it turned to this. But, I made modifications to basically TRY to make it unique. Sorta... Honestly, it seems like everything has been thought of... But, I'll try to fix it up a bit.

Recycling needs nothing to do with the story, turn it into a system, like...Money, trading, forging, salvaging, building, engineering. Think about it.

The way I typed irritates you?
I'm just trying to prove my point before you shout out my point is moot. I try to stop arguments from occurring if they were to occur. Then theres the hybrids- What can I say? The idea of hybrids is generic. You can make them different or just the same as human, but not...well, I generally dislike hybrids of sorts.

I Don't try to be offensive. You people act like I'm being offensive when generally I'm simply... Hmm, 'strict', 'misunderstood', and 'exploiting'.

I'm going to try and work it in. I like that idea.

Well, I'm going to leave the offensive thing alone since it has nothing to do with the RP idea. I get your point, and it was a point. I understand your view. All I was saying was that you should try to be less irritating about it.

Anyway, i'm done. I got carried away and I apologize. I have had a very short temper lately. I know you were just trying to help.

And now...

Hybrids. It is part of the system. Humans are fast, not strong, and recover quick. The machines are very strong, slow, and can take more hits, but can't recover until they get the parts they need. Hybrids are a balance between the two. They basically have an even balance of everything.

Lern
02-02-10, 14:42
Problem is, hybrids usually means a balance of two, but in every RP I've ever seen, been to or had, it ended up an Imbalance of two, being that instead of absorbing half of each to become a completely balanced being, it absorbed ALL THE GOODS of both.

Lets say, this is a 'stats' or 'behavior' chart:
Human
Speed: 40%
Strength: 30%
Recover: at all times, 20% per day
Endurance: 10%

Machine
Speed: 10%
Strength: 50%
Recover: At repairs, 10% per unit of recycled materials
Endurance: 30%

Hybrids: (How they're meant to be)
Speed: 25% (40+10-50%)
Strength: 40% (30+50-50%)
Recover: At all times, 15% per day (20+10-50%)
Endurance: 20% (30+10-50%)
Screw the fact that I already think this is imbalanced this way, as he is nearly as strong as a machine and more than twice as fast, as well as stronger than a man- He also recovers without repairs, and recovers nearly as quick as man. He gets all the goods of both, and is twice as endurable as man.
How does a hybrid usually end up being?
Speed: 50%
Strength: 80%
Recovery: 30%
Endurance: 40%

Why? Perhaps this chart is a bad example, but hybrids means usually they take up a little of the abilities of both, but say, we have the most common of hybrids, which is not what we're looking for, but is a hybrid none the less- A were-vampire-wolf-whateverthey'recalledems. These have increased agility from wolf, bloodsucking from vampire, wings and strength from vampire and wolf. You can't make him weak as that would be 'imbalanced', but he's still a lumbering, agile, bloodsucker which can fly. In order to 'balance him' you'd have to either make him average strength and normal speed(Which would make him worthless, as he's only have aspects of a vampire), or remove a little of everything.
You can't have a vampire which can 'nearly' fly. That makes no sense.
Therefore the hybrids usually maintain the full power of both their sources.

Why am I taking such a bad example for your case? Because its the most common and most easily explained.

Your hybrids will end up being strong, fast, recover quick and take hits. They should be as strong as a machine, as fast as a human and has a humans recovery but a machines durability. This will end up in another, imbalanced chart.

40%
50%
20%
30%
See? It's still imbalanced, but if the guy tries to act more balanced, one of the two aspects becomes worthless.

If you're still having trouble understanding I'll try to explain in other ways, because I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't understand these examples.

UPDATE. After working things with lern, I managed to improve it.

Story:

The world has been taken over by a self-aware program codenamed "Shadow Virus." It was originally called the "Peacestar Program." This program was created to take over factories and recycle resources with mechanical workers working for the Peacestar. Over time, things seemed to go well, with humans being able to stay away from dangerous and toxic areas, until the human government began fearing that the machines were growing too powerful to control. Soon, the humans segregated the machines from the human civilization. The Peacestar Program started to create robot utopias where machines lived in harmony with each other. Humans, jealous of the robot culture, decided to take their resources. The Peacestar Program decided it had dealt with humans long enough. The Peacestar Program built soldiers to take their resources back. The humans were left with one warning, leave them alone or die. The Peacestar Program tried to stay away from human civilization. Most of their resources were recycled, and they rarely left their cities. The humans, in protest, started attacking robotic cities for resources, since they were running out themselves. In an attack, a worm was planted in the Peacestar Program. No one really knew how this happened. The worm caused the program's thinking to undergo a drastic change, which made it into a new program. This new program, codenamed "The Shadow Virus," proclaimed war on the humans, and blamed them for starting unneccessary conflicts with the machines (which they had done).
The Shadow Virus wasted no time in taking every major city on the planet. Humans of all types banded together to stop this threat. For a time, it seemed that machines were on the verge of winning. Some grant special abilities, and some enhance strength. Most people get injured in battle and recieve such mechanical parts. Some do it of their free will, although it is uncommon. Cyborgs are often a badge of courage, viewed as humans or hybrids that don't give up the fight even when they loose parts of their body. Usually mechanical enhancments can do one of a few things.

Machines- Later on in the war, humans began capturing machines and reprogramming them for human work. Some work on renewing resources, and some even work on the battlefield. Most of the reprogrammed machines are working in Metal Kindron's armies as spies that report to Kindron, but mostly they are robots that are repaired and sent back to their armies with spying equipment built in that the machine doesn't know about. This is so the humans can spy on the machines without even the host machine knowing it. Kindron is sure that some are spying on him, but has no way to know for sure. Machines are slow, and can't run, but have incredible strength. Machines also, while they can take more damage than humans, can't recover quickly unless they recieve the parts need to be fixed. Machines, for the most part, can't think for themselves, and follow their programming.

Variants- These are machines that have been recycled, but don't fall into the main attack force, or any category of bot. Since they can't think for themselves, they can't lie at all, making things difficult for spies. They follow their programming without question. Most have been put into sub-categories.

Sentrybot- A slightly more speedy scout. These are very weak.
Gutsbot- A very powerful machine which is highly vulnerable.
Shieldbot- A machine that uses energy to form a barrier around it. The shield, while stronger than normal shields, doesn't last forever.

Mechaniloids- These are mechanical oddities. About 1 in 150,000 robots develop the ability to think for themselves. No one knows how this happens, but the theory is that perhaps every now and then, the robot taps into a hidden program that is similar to the original Peacestar Program. If these are found in the robot armies, they are quickly destroyed. Most leave and join the humans. With the humans, they usually become spies, since normal machines are incapable of lying, but with mechaniloids, they can lie and get away with it. Yes, the term was ripped off from Megaman X. Sorry.

Misc- These include grenades, explosives, and other weapons not mentioned.

another update in the next few hours. Still working on special weapons and enhancements.

UPDATE TWO. Not enough to put into one post i'm afraid. I am attempting to breathe some life in the RP section. I am very disappointed that it has been untouched for so long.

Rare special weapons

Humans use special weapons. They have to have enough material to make the weapon though. These are not found on the battle field very often. These are the special weapons which humans can make. These guns require special parts that are not found often enough.

Chainsaw Bayonet Sniper Rifle-A sniper rifle that has a chainsaw attached to the end. Chainsaw can be turned on or off by a switch by the main trigger. Snipers like this weapon since it is useful if the enemy gets close.

Ice Gattling- A heavy machine gun which rapidly fires ice pellets which burst on impact. The catridges used as ammo are mostly water. What do you expect in an ice gun? At least you get easy refills.

Lightning blaster- This gun fires a blast of lightning, creating a small EMP (Electromagnetic pulse), frying machines in a 4 feet radius. This weapon will fry if it overheats as a result of overuse. In addition to this working on machines very well, these are dangerous to hybrids who may get in the way, since if their mechanical parts shut down, they start dying.

Seeker Launcher- This is a grenade-style launcher. It fires small mines which sticks to the first magnetic thing in it's path. The seekers explode like a grenade. However, since it is fired forward at a high speed, it doesn't go back towards the host, unless there is nothing for it to stick to when it slows down.

Fireball Rocket- These are rockets which, on impact, explode sending fireballs in multiple directions.

Semi automatic Raygun- This gun fires beams of light. It's a semi automatic, so it's not very powerful. It relies on solar energy to charge. Most use this because it can make their opponents see spots for awhile.

Super Magnum- Ever wish this was the old west? Well, here is your gun. This gun fires 6 shots like a 20th century old west movie and looks the part, but these fire special rounds which are actually like water balloons. These have a large amount of water packed and compressed very tight. These work very well on machines, but not so well on organic beings.

Rebound Pistol- This gun fires a energy shot which can bounce off objects. No, no basketball puns here. Sorry.

Sound Shield- This creates a shield if enough sound waves can be gathered. Since the battlefield has very much sound, the shields work very well. However, even though this shield can stay up endlessly, it only works as long as there is enough soundwaves to power it. This is pretty expensive to make. Sounds awesome, doesn't it?

Explosive Chaingun- A chaingun which fires tiny grenades which automatically aim at units. The grenades have automatic aerial scanners of up to 1 mile, and have an explosive radius of up to 20 meters. The grenades are also programmed to fall within a radius of about 4.5-5 meters between each other, because only the first grenade can detonate on its own, and is thus slower and has a more limited range. Once it detonates, the rest of the grenades detonate via it's explosion and the small radius between them. This weapon is so expensive, each round costs almost as much as the weapon to make. A single round carries 5 grenades. This is by far one of the most powerful weapons of the current era, but is extremely difficult to make.

Hybrids use Mechanical Enhancments

Hybrids use mechanical enhancements since they are partly mechanical. Their enhancements increase one ability, but reduce another. Hybrids are able to modify themselves to increase certain stats, making each hybrid's abilities and skills unique. They have been broken down into catergories. These materials can be gathered from the battlefield, then integrated into their bodies in addition to what is already there. However, there are limits to how much the hybrid body can take. Hybrids are still organic after all. All hybrids come with these, but after years of study with hybrids, humans can now add these to the hybrids bodies to further enhance them.

Titanium Alloy- This strange material is bonded to the skin of the hybrids. This increases their defensive capabilities. However, it decreases their strength and speed due to the weight. Every hybrid has a substantial amount of this. Machines had originally designed hybrids for use as human shields. Go figure...

Oxygen-Dispersing Nanites- These are small microscopic robots that enhance the blood flow of the host. This way, more oxygen can get through their body. These can only interact with the mechanical enhancements of a hybrid. These little guys can also be used as a biological weapon on humans because humans lack the mechanical enhancements to interact with them, causing the little bastards to self destruct after a little while of not getting the food they require. The food being the titanium alloy. As for the effect of these, they increase speed slightly, but reduce the titanium alloy count in the host, causing defensive abilities to decrease, and reduces strength due to the muscles not working as hard.

Electric Muscles- This is a small electric charge generated from the enhanced nervous system of the host. This is caused by enhanced nanites in the brain. It is thanks to this that hybrids don't crumble under pressure of the enhancements. This electric charge zaps the muscles as the name implies, causing them to work harder and increase strength. This reduces speed greatly as the muscles become stronger, and decreases defensive capabilities greatly because it weakens the bond in the skin with the titanium alloy. Thankfully, the nanites compensate for that to keep the bond from disappearing completely.

Nervous Zapper- The nanites which lodge themselves in the brain enhance the hybrids thinking capabilities, giving them better memory, better learning, and quicker reflexes. Some hybrids have so much of this that they can react so quick that they can catch a bullet without a sweat. The only problem with this is that it is easy to overdose on these little guys, since they feed on electrical impulses in the brain. Devouring enough of those impulses makes the user essentally braindead after a few days. The amount of these directly impact the electric muscles charge. As long as there is enough of the other enhancements in the body, these guys aren't much of a threat, but if these outnumber the enhancements enough, then the hybrid is in deep trouble. These combine the power of a computer with the power of a human brain, making hybrids very smart. It is because of this that many hybrids are also scientists.

Mechanical support units

All machines are able to use smaller machines to assist them in battle. These support units are controlled remotely, so only machines can use these and battle at the same time. These are only limited by the creator's creativity. One soldier actually created a mechanical Flame Hynard. And it yelled so much during battle, that it was destroyed by friendly fire. Coincidence? Maybe. Imagine hearing, "BURN! BURN! BURN TO THE GROUND!" in a squeaky voice the whole battle. Heck, I'd have destroyed it too.

Machines use Blueprint Weapons

Machines, being the geniuses they are, are able to look at weapons on the battlefield and scan them. Machines can scan any weapon, including rare, special weapons. However, the special weapons only come with 2 ammo packs. No one really knows why this is. Machines can only build the weapon once though. Mechaniloids, being the thinking geniuses they are, are able to scan the weapon and build it for free. Again, they can only build it once, and with 2 ammo packs. Also, only seeing them in enemy hands is the only way they are able to scan them. Researchers were having a field day trying to explain that, although they were never able to.

Cyborg Enhancements

Cyborgs are enhanced by mechanical implants. These usually have effects depending on what part of the body is enhanced. When implanted on Hybrids, they tend to drain some of the titanium alloy, slightly decreasing their defense. However, for some reason, their strength and speed do not increase with the depletion. This has yet to be explained by scientists. Enhancing certain parts of the body

Legs- Leg enhancements usually increase running speed, but reduce strength. It is theorized that the enhancement draws power from the muscles all over the body.

Arms- These increase strength, and reduce defense. No one knows why this is. It is theorized that in hybrids, it reduces the titanium alloy in the body, but it doesn't explain why it happens to normal humans as well.

Chest- This generally increases defense, but decreases speed. Again, only theories on why this is.

Head- This generally increases thinking capacity, since the enhancement also gives extra power to the brain. This has a tendency to slightly decrease strength, speed and defense. No one really understands why, but they just know it does.

Okay, didn't take as long as I thought... As usual, feedback is appreciated.

Another update. I decided to throw in the main characters' profiles. As usual, feedback is appreciated. Just please... don't be an ass about it. (Stop looking at Lern. He's not the only one doing it)

Name: General Commander Kindron Darkfire (wants people to just call him Kindron)

Age: 45

Gender: Male

Race: Hybrid Cyborg

Side: Humans

Physical Description: Kindron is about 6'5", and has a medium build. He has short spiky black hair, brown eye and he's cleanly shaved. The right side of his face is mostly mechanical. The mechanic plate goes from his shoulder all the way to his hair, and is silver with a red mechanic eye where the eye is supposed to be. Most of the hair on the right side of his face is part of the metal plating, but the metal hair looks just like a silver version of his hair. This is to keep him looking as human as possible. On the back of the robotic part of his shoulder is a plate where his saber is kept. The handle points toward his back, but the metal is made of a special, but rare material that keeps the saber from igniting accidentally (this is given to higher ranking soldiers). His entire right arm is mechanical. His right hand has a lightning symbol engraved on the palm of his hand. His upper half of his arm is a silvery metal, the same as his shoulder, but the lower half along with his hand is more of a copper color metal. On the back of his right hand is a round slot, that when activated, will activate the lightning blade in his hand. His left hand, however, is covered on a white glove with a golden bracelet on his wrist connected to the glove. The glove has a picture of a red fire symbol on it. He wears a short sleeve red t-shirt, and wears black jeans. He wears a black trench coat over his clothes that has the general commander symbol, which is four stars surrounding a human head in the middle. The trench coat comes down to his knees, but is slightly flexible. The stars are evenly spaced in corners of the image that, when connected, form a box around the head. He wears a black technological shoe, which has 6 ports for jets to fire. Although it is black, it has more of a metal feel on the bottom. Thanks to the special sole though, Kindron doesn't feel the heat form the jets when he uses them. Kindron also has a small chain around his neck with a picture of him and his long lost younger brother, Garton, which sits in a clear crystal substance. Kindron carved the crystal into an arrowhead. He keeps it tucked in his shirt so people can't see it. It is the only part of his past he pains to look back on. Kindron has two holsters on his belt for his twin semi-automatic blasters. These are standard semi-automatics.

Special Abilities:

1. Power of lightning- This comes from his mechanical hand. He can concentrate an electric blast with it. He can also control the direction of the lightning, which keeps it from just hitting the first conductor it can find. He can also use the round slot to form an lightning sword which comes out of the back of his hand. However, if he uses too much lightning in one period of time, he starts to fry the wiring in his mechanical arm, which after a little bit of time, will render it useless. Since the wires are connected to his nerves (or what's left of those nerves), it causes pain around his shoulder and chest area. This isn't a power Kindron likes to use often, saving it for extreme emergencies. Kindron can use the copper-looking lower half of his arm to catch other electricity without damage. Again, after a little while, he starts to fry the wiring in his hand. He can still control his lightning power in water, unlike Metal Kindron.

2. Power of fire- This comes from the glove on his left hand. The gold bracelet produces the fire, and the glove itself lets Kindron control it. The glove also lets him control the oxygen densitiy while the fire is thrown, but only for a short distance. However, when the glove is wet, due to water, rain, or sweat, Kindron loses control of the fire created, whether he drops the fireball, or can't control it at all. If he can't control it at all, the fireball just goes straight ahead from where the opening of his bracelet is pointing. Of course, use of fire will help get the glove to dry out. Kindron hears all kinds of stories about what his firey power can do, or has done. Most of which, being untrue.

3. Power of dashing- This is mainly for speed. Whatever way the bottom of Kindrons boots are facing, are the direction the jets will fire. He can only use it in bursts. He can go about 2 and a half feet in any given direction. It's less when he goes in an upward angle due to gravity however. Once he uses a dash, he must wait 10 seconds for the jets to recharge. They can only recharge so many times per battle, then they just become normal shoes. The back of each shoe has a port which can be recharged. Kindron plugs them in at the end of the day. Rechargeable shoes with jets... What will humans think of next?

Tools/equipment:

1. Kindron carries a saber on his right shoulder. The metal part of his shoulder this saber sits on is made of a special material that will keep the saber from igniting if and only if the saber is connected to the material. The metal is magnetic to keep the saber sticking, and requires effort to pull it off. Another safety measure which Kindron put in himself. It's extremely difficult to knock it off by accident. It looks like most sabers, and emits a bright red blade when activated.

2. Two twin semi-automatics (police issue)- These are standard police issue automatic blasters. Kindron carries two of them because they are a nice balance between weight, speed, and power. He could get higher ranking weapons, but he prefers these for the reasons stated before. They are easy to carry, and he has no problem drawing them out when he needs them.

3. Mechanical eye- Yes, he has a mechanical right eye. This enhances his vision, and is equipped with targeting sensors. Thanks to it being mechanical, it is also equipped with an inferred mode, and a night vision mode. Kindron hears all kinds of wierd stories about what his eye can see and do, most of which being untrue. Other that that, it's basically a normal eye, except for the red tint to everything.

4. Necklace- This has a clear crystal substance with a picture of Kindron's brother in the center. Kindron carved the substance into an arrowhead shape. He wears it under his shirt, pulling it out when he's alone. This is a painful reminder of the sacrifices he has had to make in the past.

History: Like many, Kindron was born after the war started. Born in 4534, he never knew what peace was like. They lived in constant fear and battle. In 4538, his younger brother Garton was born. Both of them planned on joining the military efforts when they came of age. When Kindron was 10, and Garton was 6, the city was taken over by machines. They were seperated at that point. The remaining people were put to work gathering resources, but the ones too young or too old to work were experimented on. Most were made into hybrids, but some died in the process. After they became hybrids, they were put to work in place of other humans, and those humans were then taken to be modified. Most hybrids didn't really know what had happened to them (being unconscious when they were modified), and were forbidden to have any contact with each other. When Kindron was 19, a elitebot mechaniloid came to see him. The machines had figured out that Kindron had started to plan a rebellion. He had snuck communication with others, and was planning an escape. Kindron didn't know it was a mechaniloid, and the mechaniloid offered freedom of him and as many captives as they could gather in exchange for a safe haven amoung humans. Mechaniloids were to be immediately destroyed, as they were extreme oddities. With no other alternative, Kindron accepted. A group, which included Kindron's brother, started to attack the machines so the small group could get weapons, and then everyone was supposed to escape. Due to a fault in the plan, most of Garton's group didn't survive. Kindron still hopes that Garton made it out, but fears the worst. Kindron has however, watched a lot of movies, before the machines took over the city, and saw a lot of all-odds-escaping-death scenerios, so he waits for the day he finds his brother. With the help of the mechaniloid, whom Kindron named Silverstorm, the hybrids in Kindron's group learned of their modification. In 4 years from the time of escape, Kindron had raided machine controlled cities, and rescued many humans and hybrids to build his hybrid army. Although his armies consisted of few humans, humans usually stayed in the back. With the machines on the verge of victory at that time, Kindron unleashed his army on the machines and started to drive them back. Silverstorm remains his second in command, and is usually seen with Kindron. When 4565 came around, with Kindron leading the armies, victory was starting to seem certain, but like the humans becoming desperate before, the machines decided to try something up their own sleeve. Although individual and small numbers of assasinbots failed, Shadow Virus sent a group of 15 to either destroy Kindron, or take his DNA in the attack. Kindron and Silverstorm fought bravely, but in the attack, a few assasinbots reflected one of Kindrons fireballs back at him and torched the right side of Kindron's face and shoulder. A few others slashed off Kindron's right arm with sabers they were carrying. Silverstorm was badly damaged during the attack, and help came in just in time. Cyborgs came in and started destroying the group. One, following it's programming, took some intact DNA from Kindron that was laying about from the battle. Silverstorm was easily repaired, since his memory wasn't damaged, but Kindron had to replace the burnt, slashed, and/or deformed areas with mechanics. A few months later Kindron was up and fighting again, only to discover he had a new foe to fight. The DNA they took was used to create a mechanical duplicate of Kindron. Metal Kindron, one of the few robots granted the ability to think, was able to anticipate Kindron's every move. Although, since they think the same way for the most part, Kindron was able to keep up and anticipate Metal Kindron. Both have layed off making strategies, with Kindron letting his superior come up with the strategies to keep Metal Kindron guessing, likewise Metal Kindron is leaving most strategies to the Shadow Virus. Both remain in a stale mate, and Kindron is protecting a project that may lead the human side to victory.

Personality: Kindron is rarely ever serious. In large groups, he loves making jokes. He is very careful about who he comes into contact with, but is able to think out multiple options in difficult situations. Although he is a good leader, he has difficulty spilling out his emotions. He walks with his hands behind his back mostly, since he spent so many years in chains and has adjusted to it. Now, he does it mostly because it makes him look professional.

Hybrid Enhancements: Kindron has a pretty even amount of all hybrid enhancements. Kindron like to disperse his stats evenly.

Cyborg Enhancements: Kindron has mechanical enhancements which includes his entire left arm and part of his head. This is the result of a battle where Kindron was hopelessly outnumbered.

Metal Kindron

Name: Robotic Commander Metal Kindron (most just call him Metal, or M.K.)

Age: 14

Gender: Machine

Race: Machine Hybrid (he is the reverse of a human hybrid, being a mechanical being infused with some organic parts). He is the first of his kind, although a few have been built since then.

Side: Machines

Physical Description: Metal Kindron is completely silver. He looks just like Kindron. His joints are mostly like action figures, except for like metal. Because metal still can't bend for such strong quality, his articulation is a bit more limited than a human. Although, he is more powerful than any machine ever built up to this point. He is basically built like Kindron. The only difference is that he has big pieces of black armor over his body. The black armor is removable, and depending on the situation, he may or may not wear it. This armor only covers certain parts of his body for movement purposes. His bottom half of his legs have this armor, as does the lower half of his arms (excluding his hands), and his main body (the body armor stops at his waist, and has round shoulder pads). This was an idea the Shadow Virus took from a 20th century video game series. His eyes are green. His mouth is always slightly open, with a speaker in it. His mouth isn't designed to move. His ears are basically the same as Kindron's except metal.

Special Abilities:

1. Lightning- Metal Kindron can use lightning, like his organic counterpart. Unlike Kindron, he has special wiring and metal which won't let him be fried if he uses it too much. The power comes from his hands. However, unlike Kindron, water basically short circuits this ability. Metal Kindron can't control his lightning ability if his hands are wet.

2. Blaster hand- His right hand can transform into an blaster that fires a small blast. He can only use it for a short time before it overheats and he has to revert to his hand.

3. Shield- Metal Kindron can deploy a round energy shield from his right forearm. It can't take endless amounts of hits, but is fairly strong for it's size. It's about a foot in diameter. Of course, it's weakness is pounding it until it weakens and gives out completely.

Tools/equipment:

1. Saber- Metal Kindron carries a saber on his shoulder, like Kindron. His saber blade is green though. Unlike Kindron's metal design, Metal Kindron made his out a golden color. Metal Kindron uses this just as Kindron uses his.

2. Automatic (Cleaver series)- This thing was built by the machines and is a powerful weapon. It's a bit heavier than the normal models, but is far more powerful. If Metal Kindron fires this at point blank range at someone, it does insane damage. These are usually reserved for generals.

History: Metal Kindron was created in 4565. He was the machines desperate measure, and was created to think like Kindron, and anticipate his moves. Since Kindron most likely wouldn't be turned willingly, the machines put a copy of Kindron on their side. The Shadow Virus took ideas from 20th century video games and movies to create this. Metal Kindron started out by taking cities while Kindron was still recupperating. When Kindron woke up, and found out about him, he started to fight back. The two have been in a stale mate since, not being able to gain any ground against the other. Metal Kindron leads the mechanical forces. He is also one of the few machines that is given the ability to think. His secret project is almost ready. He knows Kindron has an idea already what this is. He is gathering an army to fight Kindron since Metal Kindron knows what Kindron is doing. Both feel that the final battle is getting close.

Personality: Metal Kindron is a pain in the neck. He tears through his own forces if they get in the way. He doesn't tolerate failure from his forces, and he hates Kindron. He feels he can treat his forces how he wants since they aren't programmed to think or feel anything about it. Even though he is merceless to his own side as well, he doesn't kill his own soldiers without reason. Shadow Virus hates when he does it, viewing it as a waste of good soldiers. Metal Kindron usually has his own body guard unit which are comprised of mechaniloid assasinbots. He calls them in if the battle isn't going his way so he can escape. Metal Kindron won't let them do much else, because he likes the heat of battle, and killing humans whenever possible.

Slightly updated story. Mostly just some rewording. I would like to see this come to life, so feedback is appreciated. Figured with more RPers here now, it might be a good time to revive this.

There were few cities left on the planet. Many humans were captured and experimented on. The machines were trying to control humans through robotics. Humans were on the verge of losing the war when a new army arose to fight for the humans. Led by the mysterious Kindron Darkfire, a new race of hybrids started taking back cities taken by the "Shadow Virus." This new army consisted mostly of humans modified to have organic and inorganic parts. Some had escaped from mechanic forces and found others in similar situations. With the hybrids help, they advanced their technology to the machine's level like using energy shields to protect their cities from air attacks, and human armies grew as more hybrids and humans rescued from prisons and camps joined the human resistance. Military Commander Luke Johnson eventually promoted Kindron to be the commanding general for almost all of the human and hybrid forces.
Under Kindron's leadership, cities were taken back, but the Shadow Virus wasn't done. On the verge of defeat, the Shadow Virus made a last ditch effort. During a battle against Kindron, assasinbots took a sample of his DNA, and the Shadow Virus built a mechanical copy from the DNA. This new "Metal Kindron" commanded the machines, and started to mobilize the mechanical forces . Not quite a hybrid, but not a machine, Metal Kindron started to strengthen the robotic forces. With a mind just like Kindron's, the two started planning, and were soon in a stale mate being able to anticipate each other. But Metal Kindron has a project of his own. The Shadow Virus has a new force, that if unleashed, will bring destruction to human cities, and possibly the machines as well if a way of control is not found.

Jace approved it awhile back. But, no one joined. I think it was the fact that most of the RPers at that time weren't hanging around sprites inc that much.
