First off, big thanks to Snap's color shaders. You "rock" "man"! lol


Requirements:
Graphics card with Pixel Shader 2.0
Multimedia Fusion 2 HWA Endabled.

The Shaders use 2.0 Pixel Shader. You need a Graphics card with at least a 2.0 pixel shader. You can look up your card to if has one. Otherwise you won't see the effects.

MMF2/MMF12 Dev with Hwa installed.

This pretty much going to be a near replica engine of MM7, or the best I can get to anyway.

Process
Megaman 7-ish Engine:

Basic Movement
Palette Swap (No Lag)
Screen Scrolling
Slide
Wall Slide, Wall Jump (f I can find someone do some edits)
Enemies, Boss Example
E-Tanks, Hearts, etc

Controls

Arrow keys = Move
Z = Jump
X = Shoot
A/S = Switch weapons



What's completed/In the works so far?

Basic Movement. (Needs to be refined some more)
Screen Scrolling ( A few bugs need sot ne fixed)
Weapon system (Color Swap and charging)
Health system ( need to add pickups)

Note#1: You will not see the color change if you do not have a graphics card with at least 2.0 pixel shader support.

Note#2: There is music. Make a path likes this: Data/Mus/. In the music folder, drop a ogg file called "TestStage1".

Note#3: I might bot do collect all the armor pieces. If I do, I msot like won't show the graphics for it. Don't rule the possibilty though.

Since that's the case, I hope you don't mind if I nitpick about a few small things

In MM7 when Mega charges he pulls out his buster, except when using Noise Crush

You use the same animation for jumping up and falling down, in MM7 he has a different pose when falling, slightly bent over to the front

Something about his running seems a bit off but I can't put my finger on it, maybe it's his running speed that is slightly slower than the original


Also, in the comments of your video you say that all you have to do to make a MM8 engine is replace sprites, but don't forget that MM8 had slopes while MM7 didn't.

Yeah, I can't get his running animation right. As for the engine it supports slopes. I know he sticks he's buster out, but I honestly thought that was kind of, meh. Perhaps I should say, nearly like it, but with a few tweaks.

I see it now, his head stays at the same height at all time when he runs. His head should move up and down while he runs.

Alright, did a quick runthrough


When you shoot while clinging to a wall the projectile freezes and faces the wrong direction

Normal shots have an inpact effect on the walls but the second charged shot doesn't, which looks kind of weird

When you walk off a platform, if you press the opposite direction real fast you can get back on the platform if even you were already falling

If you fall down the large hole to the big room and you try to climb back up the camera quickly goes to the bottom of the room

When you're climbing a wall and quickly and randomly press the arrow keys while doing it, sometimes X will have the wrong animation frame, mostly I got his sliding down the wall animation even while he was far removed from the wall

The sound is a bit buggy, sometimes it gets stuck in a loop, sometimes it won't play at all, like when you shoot 2 shots right after each other or when you try to wall jump in the top corner of a room


Except for some bugs your engine is looking mighty fine so far, keep it up.
