Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Discussion thread please.

My thoughts: Story's kind of short, I expected it to be a little bit longer. However, the amount of awesome that occurs in said story makes me forgive that fact. Especially the plot twists hurhurhur.
I think that Modern Warfare is suffering from Trilogy Syndrome though, as the ending is a giant cliffhanger in itself.

My roommate just got this for XBox360.

I haven't seen very much of it, but I must say, what I've seen is AMAZING. I'm normally not one to faun over graphics (LoD, my favorite game of EVER is for the Playstation 1), but DAYUM.

I also loved the twists I saw, as well as the shooting.

Like when they basically slaughtered a mall and afterwards the guy got headshot for teh evulz by the bad guy he had just murder-fested with

Some thoughts on Multiplayer:
IW.NET: Admittedly, it's not the end of the world like everyone had first predicted. But the fact remains, a simple system like the one in COD4 would have been fine. Dedicated servers are like pubs that you're a regular at. You meet up with other people that are regulars at the server, just like you would a regular at a pub, and you have fun, make friends, catch up with people. IW.NET is pretty much like a policeman telling you to go to a certain pub everytime you want to drink. Sure, you might run into the same people by chance, but honestly, in my opinion dedicated servers were far better. The lag isn't as bad as I first expected it to be, but it's still enough to deter me from actually really liking online play.
Sniping: Although admittedly, this is an issue prevalent in all multiplayer shooting games, a high ping when sniping really hurts you. And with the brilliance of a programming breakthrough that is IW.NET, you can be guaranteed ping.
New weapons and killstreaks: The new weapons, along with the return of the old ones, really offer a large variety of new playstyles. Loving the addition of the AUG Bullpup, one of my personal favourite weapons since my days playing CS 1.6.
And speaking of new additions...
Riot Shield: Arguably one of the weaker additions to the game, but without a doubt IT IS THE MOST FUCKING FUN I HAVE EVER HAD IN CALL OF DUTY MULTIPLAYER, EVEN WHEN I'M GETTING MY ASS WHIPPED. Seriously, just walk out in front of your team with your riot shield, and watch the assists pile up. Got an enemy riot shielder? Play jousting games! I'm almost, almost willing to forgive Infinity Ward for the debacle that is IW.NET, simply because of the fun. Like usual, having a slightly higher ping can really hurt, especially when an enemy is in knifing range before you realise it and your shield isn't protecting you. I would love to play a game entirely olf riot shielding, but that probably won't ever, ever happen.

Haha, that's pretty cool. Normally I try to snipe on Afghan and I take things slow, thus my fairly mediocre score. When I play pure knife on places like Sub Base, however... let's just say I've MVP'd more than once.

I have played this game few days ago.I enjoyed this game a lot.There boats,tanks, predator drones, helicopter shootouts, snowmobile chases,that was real fun.This is one of the best shooter game.

COD: Modern Warfare 2 was the second Call of Duty game I had gotten and I didn't like it when they took the dogs away. I loved using the dogs in World at War and I wish they had kept them. But I was happy as all get out when they put them back into Black Ops. It's an amazing game.
