Binary Leftover

Hello there, everyone. How are you today? Good? That's wonderful to hear. Now then, since you came here for sprites, let's get to the sprites. I work exclusively in the Wily Wars Style, so these may not be exactly what you're looking for. I would venture a guess, however, that anyone in need of Wily Wars Style sprites in the first place will be pleasantly surprised. Of course, not all of the sprites are up to the quality of the rules. Eh. Well, I've kept you up here long enough. Let's get right into it.
We'll start with...
Break Man
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/4494/finishedbreakman.png
and Proto Man.
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/3347/finishedprotoman.png
They have the original sprites as well as the ones I made. I didn't do anything special here. I enhanced all of the Proto man sprites I could get my hands on, excluding a few that didn't fit the style or character. There are a few I created just because I thought they would be useful. They may not be absolutely definitive, but I think they're pretty extensive.
Next we have...
Burner Man.
http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/4396/finishedburnerman.png
If you couldn't tell, this guy is a complete composite. Head and lower body of Crash Man, arms of Bass, palette and a few attacks from the real Burner Man, one attack from Fire man, and the rest is scratched. I didn't include the hurt sprites because 1) I'm lazy, and 2)Robot Masters didn't have hurt sprites in those days. Remember, every move isn't laid out, so you'll have to do a little guessing to get his poses right. I might add a running sprite at some future time.
Next we have...
Enker.
http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/6337/finishedenker.png
He's not too big of a stretch. The head was raised one pixel, and the torso was raised one pixel. The palette is from the Mega Man Soccer version of him. Also, the arms in a couple poses. The colored Sprites of Enker at large were not acceptable, so I whipped this guy up.
Next we have...
Gravity Man.
http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/7936/finishedgravityman.png
I'm not entirely satisfied with this guy. I feel that I could have done more to make him fit the style. Gravity Man, however, does not seem to be in high demand as far as Robot Masters go, so I think I can live with it. All joking aside, he's not very good, but I think he fits the style well enough.
Next we have...
Some Mega Man Enemies.
http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/8099/finishedmegamanenemies.png
The quality of these guys varies. Some of them are so lightly edited, they look like nothing was even done to them. Others are a little more customized. Either way, these don't have very many changes made to them. I almost feel like a schmuck submitting them. They do conform to the Wily Wars Style, though. So, take your pick.
Note: Some sprites on that sheet were made by someone else. They were, however, marked as Public Domain when I collected them. The creator has been credited in the sheet.
Next we have...
Oil Man.
http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/156/finishedoilman.png
Obviously, this is Flash Man. Obviously, these Sprites belong to the man credited on the sheet. I really only made them because I was inspired when I saw his sprites. I will say nothing else. I'll let the sheet speak for itself.
Note: Some sprites on that sheet were made by someone else. They were, however, marked as Public Domain when I collected them. The creator has been credited in the sheet.
Next we have...
Roll.
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/9664/finishedroll.png
This sheet is not complete. It's not very good either. I scooped up all the Roll Sprites I could, and added shading, height, etc. We all know there are more out there, though, so it's incomplete. Roll was quite annoying to work with. Because her 8-bit sprites were so close in size to her 16-bit, it was difficult to re-size her arms and legs. I'm still worried that her height is off in areas. Oh well. Roll, you're too intense for me.
Next we have...
Miscelaneous Characters.
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/134/finishedsupportingchara.png
All of these guys just have improved shading. Finally, that cat stands up. Santa shaves his beard. The Russian man reacts to things. His daughter is taller. There's not too much to say about these guys.
Finally, we have...
Some other guys.
http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/2782/finishedpartially.png
This sheet contains sprites from incomplete sheets, expansions with too few sprites added to them, or just some things I decided to throw in for no reason. Bass is my one edited Bass Sprite. The rest are just shaded sheets. I'm expanding Crash Man a bit more. I'm expanding Heat Man a bit. I'm going to go a lot further with Mr. X. A byproduct of Tornado Man. A running Hard Man. Mega Man getting hurt.
Note: Some sprites on that sheet were made by someone else. They were, however, marked as Public Domain when I collected them. The creator has been credited in the sheet.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Ballade.
http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/2248/finishedballade.png
Ah, yes, I'm actually kind of proud of this guy. Not for anything technical, but because of how he turned out. While he did not take too much effort (only a little more than Enker), he conforms to the style while still retaining the Game Boy feel. The shading could be a little better though. I neglected to shade the black portions, but that was mostly because of his damaged sprites feature black so prominently. Now that I think about it, I should really go back and shade the black parts on Enker. Ah, well, enjoy update number one.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Tornado Man.
http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/7999/finishedtornadoman2.png
I made this guy as a request over in my Sprites Thread, and thought he might be useful to more than just the person I sprited him for. I was shocked to find out that Tornado Man's 8-bit sprites have a bunch of really subtle details in them. Unfortunately, I got rid of most of them before I realized I did it. He still looks pretty sharp, though, right? Although I prefer the more popular Splash Woman, this guy is a pretty cool Robot Master.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Yellow Devil.
http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/7406/finishedyellowdevilr.png
I originally picked up the expanded sheet of this guy just to turn him to Wily Wars Style, like I have for a few other expanded sheets. I did, however, notice that it was a little off balance having only a punching sprite for the arm facing us. So, on top of all of the coloring, I gave him another way to throw a punch. The colors were difficult to work with. You can't fool around with a color that has six shades.
Note: Some sprites on that sheet were made by someone else. They were, however, marked as Public Domain when I collected them. The creator has been credited in the sheet.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Flame Man.
http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/8375/finishedflameman.png
I'm not entirely satisfied with this guy. I feel that I could have done more to make him fit the style. The shading may be a little wonky because I decided to try and go in a different direction with this one. To be perfectly honest, he's not very good, but I think he fits the style well enough. Better than Gravity Man, anyways.
Note: Some sprites on that sheet were made by someone else. They were, however, marked as Public Domain when I collected them. The creator has been credited in the sheet.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Bomb Man.
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/1329/finishedbombman.png
They have the original sprites as well as the ones I made. I didn't do anything special here. As you might be able to tell, I have an interest in Aikin's expanded sheets. The running sprites might look a little awkward, but that's about as good as I could get him without moving his torso. I guess I could have skipped doing this sheet. Not many people really like Bomb Man.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Twin Cockroach.
http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/6702/finishedtwincockroach.png
Nothing more than a simple shading job. For the most part, anyways. I did add a few frames to its walking animation. This type of motion is actually pretty interesting. Moving to the side with only two legs is more of a technical thing than it first seems. You know, despite the fact that these guys go down pretty easy, I always thought they had good visual appeal.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Spring Man.
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/1907/finishedspringman.png
Yep, Spring Man. Although there really isn't a great demand for Spring Man, he's still one of the few conversions to 8-bit in the site's PD section. I always thought that was odd. Anyways, I was always going to convert this guy to Wily Wars Style, but I only got around to it now because of an idea I came up with. I'm actually pretty satisfied with how this guy turned out. Despite being a bit short, he looks really authentic, doesn't he? I guess that's related more to Mr. Collins' skill than my own.
Note: Some sprites on that sheet were made by someone else. They were, however, marked as Public Domain when I collected them. The creator has been credited in the sheet.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Quintet
http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/559/finishedquintet.png
Yep. Beyond being a Mega Man recolor, there's not much to this guy. I added a few accessories here and there, but the biggest change is easily his helmet, which I took from the Game Boy Quint. The slashing, jumping, and Quint specific sprites are the only real unique things. And, since I was employed to make this guy for a game, he has enough sprites to constitute a player character. Have fun, kids. Edit: Now with FULL Zero style playability.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Dr. Wily
http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/8574/finisheddrwily.png
Didn't do much here. Obviously, this is something of a "Master Sheet," because his original sprites are on there. The rest of his sprites consist of Game Boy, NES, or Wii sprites that I added more detail to. There are also a few honest edits, but not many. Well, now you have a Wily for every situation.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Jet Adapter Mega Man
http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/303/finishedmegamanjet.png
Frankly, I'm surprised something like this has yet to appear here on the World Wide Web. And yet, here we have Mega Man's Combination with Rush. As it turns out, Wily Wars Mega Man has a somewhat more relaxed stance compared to NES Mega Man. This kind of has an impact over how much of his jet back is visible. If it weren't for that flying pose of his, the jet would make him look pretty manly.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Punk
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/7411/finishedpunk.png
Ah yes, the Mega Killer nobody cares about. Punk was always the closest Mega Killer to a regular Robot Master. You couldn't really think of him as "better." Anyways, this guy underwent the same process as Ballade and Enker, although he is a little more complicated. Because I was working on this guy for my employer, he is fully playable. He turned out much better than I originally thought he would.
Edit: Now with an end ladder climbing sprite.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Pharaoh Man
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/1206/finishedpharaohman.png
Yes, everyone's second favorite Robot Master from Mega Man 4. Luckily, this guy already had 16-bit sprites. Because of that, it was simply a matter of adding the Mega Man Soccer elements onto the 8-bit sprites. And because of the variety that his Mega Man Soccer sprites had, it was easy for me to make Pharaoh Man fully playable. I would imagine that he would throw his normal shots just like a buster. His charged shot would work a lot like Mega Man's, but he couldn't move until it was fully charged. I also included a recolored enemy from Mega Man V. It looks like it would be in his stage.
Edit: Now with an end ladder climbing sprite.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Super Adapter Mega Man
http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/5061/finishedmegamansuper.png
For this guy, I used Medra Bot's shoulders, Jet Adapter's Color and poses, and Quintet's hands. He's really a combination of every Mega Man based sprite I've worked on before. Of course, that doesn't mean he's better than any of them. I felt like I was cheating the whole time I was working on him. Anyways, Mega Man's ultimate form is now available to the public.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Dive Man
http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/2262/finisheddiveman.png
Ah, yes, another Robot Master from Mega Man 4. Soon, there will be enough 16-bit Mega Man 4 Robot Masters out there to remake that game in the Wily Wars style. Of course, one would have to redo all of the backgrounds, as well, which is the hardest part. Anyhow, you might notice that this guy is a little tall. Well, blame Hard Man. In Mega Man 3, Hard Man was easily the tallest Robot Master. As it turns out, Dive Man was just a wee bit taller than Hard Man was. After they turned Hard Man into a giant in Wily Wars, I couldn't let Dive Man stay the same height. So, he's still just a wee bit taller.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Napalm Man
http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/2530/finishednapalmman.png
Now, I know what you're thinking. This guy isn't in the Wily Wars style. Well, his Best of Mega Man sheet was just a little too incomplete for me to just sit around and do nothing about. Yes, I'm virtuous in that sense. Well, maybe not. I'm lazy, and if I were to ever undertake a work that absolutely had to involve Robot Masters from Mega Man 5, I would just use the ones from Best of Mega Man. Those sheets are abhorrently incomplete, though. So, with a little Binary Leftovers and Magic, I whipped up a few extra poses for this guy.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Crystal Man
http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/641/finishedcrystalman.png
Ah, yes, another Mega Man 5 Robot Master. You know, these guys weren't very popular. It's unfortunate that they fell between two sets who were more heavy on the personality. Anyways, I didn't do much to him. Gave him a little bit bigger head and a pair of metal undies. Also, I included two sets of colors. One for his official colors, the other for the colors we remember him better by.
Edit: Now half way decent.
Note: Some sprites on that sheet were made by someone else. They were, however, marked as Public Domain when I collected them. The creator has been credited in the sheet.

Centaur Wo/Man
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/9858/finishedcentaurwoman.png
I think this Robot Master is one of the most interesting, and definitely the most interesting of Mega Man 6. Not only does she have a real knarly power described as "unknown" in game, she was also a woman in the Mega Man 6 Manga. Because the Mega Man series is severely lacking in female characters, I decided to work under that interpretation. You know she's also the tallest Robot Master? Well, as far as NES styled sprites go. I'm fairly certain Frost Man is actually taller than her. Anyways, she has taught me that the NES to Wily Wars style change in size is not always easy to estimate. Sure she was a whopping four pixels taller than Hard Man in her original style, but at that height she would look ridiculous in Wily Wars style. I really need to stop using him as a size reference.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Duo
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/8882/finishedduo.png
Finally! At long last, I finished Duo. After battling my way through the toughest spriting project that I've ever worked on, I have finally brought the sheet to completion. Although many sprites look a little off, and many of my techniques were likely counter-intuitive, he remains a pretty good looking character. Hopefully, some one will find use for this unpopular character who I've converted into an unpopular style. What else can I say? I've already gone over my thoughts about him in excess in my spriting thread. Just go with that, and use him as you see fit.
Note: Some sprites on that sheet were made by someone else. They were, however, marked as Public Domain when I collected them. The creator has been credited in the sheet.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Ice Man
http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/6666/finishediceman.png
I was given the suggestion to make Ice Man playable a little while ago, and since I didn't think it would be too much trouble, I decided to do it. There's really not much to this guy. Since his attacks come out of his mouth, all I had to do was change the face a little to get his shooting sprites. Ladder climbing wasn't too much trouble, and a jumping sprite already existed. By the way, he has two movement animations; a sliding one and a running one. Also of note is that I did not include a "finished climbing" pose. This is also a fault on many of my other expanded sheets. Unfortunately, this, in many cases, would make the climbing animation longer than the running animation, which would look strange. But this is really just a way of me saying that I'm not going back to correct this mistake. Enjoy, anyways.
Edit: Now with an end ladder climbing sprite.

Martial Joe
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/1609/finishedmartialjoe.png
Okay, this is a pretty stupid edit. One day, while browsing the forums, I came across a Magnet Man/Sniper Joe Frankenstein, and I thought it looked pretty cool. I made a Wily Wars version, and thought it looked more like a martial artist than a magnet thrower. Thus, Martial Joe was born.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Power Adapter Mega Man
http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/8257/finishedmegamanpower.png
Yep, I finally got the last Adapter done. It actually wasn't as hard as I originally thought it would be. He's not as derivative as my other Mega Man based sprites, so I had to tread some new ground, but it honestly wasn't very difficult to get some good results. Some of the hands may be a bit small, though. For the most part, I just took the hands straight from his NES sprites, so he does look a bit small in places. All of his actions are still really smooth, however. He's ready to break things.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Blast Man
http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/9181/finishedblastman.png
Someone in the sprite request thread was making a request for a few Mega Man Battle Network sprites in 8-bit classic style. Blast Man wasn't one of them, but the idea inspired me to look through the Battle Network section. I saw a Navi that I thought seemed a lot like Heat Man, and the idea of putting his chest thing on his shoulders just came to me. The rest of him is pretty generic. Based on his sprites, you should be able to guess what kind of boss he is.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Tree Woman
http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/8944/finishedtreewoman.png
Isn't she a beauty? That's what I thought. First off, yes, she's obviously Wood Man. Rather than being a completely new Robot Master, she's more of a female counterpart. The other major color for a tree is white, and the other major color for leaves is brown, so I decided that I could make my own tree robot with elements like that. Now, while she's hardly original, I think her design is spectacular. Doesn't she seem like something Inafune himself would create?
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Star Man
http://img573.imageshack.us/img573/4237/finishedstarman.png
This guy was requested in my sprite thread, and now he's here. Much like Napalm Man, this guy had Best of Mega Man sprites, so I didn't actually do much here. Unlike Napalm Man, however, Star Man was SEVERELY lacking in detail. To remedy this, I changed his colors a bit, gave him some stars on his knees, and fixed up some of his finer points. Also unlike my above Napalm Man, he has no Wily Wars colors in him. He would be right at home on the Game Gear. He comes in two flavors.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Proto Shield Mega Man.
http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/3219/finishedprotoshield.png
I have nothing at all to say about this one. It's just Mega Man with Proto Man's shield. It's supposed to be from his Mega Man 7 appearance, and I don't know how that worked, exactly, so there may be some errors.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Toad Man
http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/6056/finishedtoadwoman.png
Yep, another enhanced Best of Mega Man sprite. Much like with Star Man, it was just a matter of finding some more appropriate colors. By working with these sprites, I can tell the people who made them didn't care very much. There's a bunch of weird mistakes on the originals that I had to fix. I also gave him a helmetless sprite set. I was working with the idea that Toad Man was really fastidious, despite working in a sewer. That's why his hair is so fabulous.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Lantern Fish
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/2682/finishedlanternfish.png
Yep, that big fish enemy from Mega Man 2. After seeing Disgruntled Ferret make this enemy into a submarine, I thought I'd take a swing at it. I think it turned out pretty good. Even if not, you have to admit that his staunchy frown is humorous.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Cut Man
http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/5416/finishedcutman.png
Yes, it's the little Robot Master who couldn't. After providing him with an additional running sprite, I got on a roll and added all the sprites he needed to be playable. He turned out pretty cool looking, I think. He's mostly just a head-swap of Mega Man, though, so there's not much to say about him. There is one thing, though. I gave him his special ability from Mega Man Powered Up. That's right, he can wall-kick. Enjoy.
Edit: A Challenger appears! His name is...
Cold Man
http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/4172/finishedcoldman.png
And here we have Soviet Commando's Cold Man with a few edits and enhanced shading. This guy was weird to do. Of course, Cold Man is weird in the first place. Besides the weirdness, I don't really feel very strongly in any other way. Enjoy the weird.
Note: Some sprites on that sheet were made by someone else. They were, however, marked as Public Domain when I collected them.
And there you have it. Looking back, I realize that these aren't very professional. On the other hand, I needed them, and I wasn't able to find them anywhere else. I figured that, if I needed them, someone else might want to have them, too. I don't expect to impress anyone, but I hope I was able to help a few people. Thank you all very much.
We'll start with...
Break Man

They have the original sprites as well as the ones I made. I didn't do anything special here. As you might be able to tell, I have an interest in Aikin's expanded sheets. The running sprites might look a little awkward, but that's about as good as I could get him without moving his torso. I guess I could have skipped doing this sheet. Not many people really like Bomb Man.

Spring Man.
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/1907/finishedspringman.png
Yep, Spring Man. Although there really isn't a great demand for Spring Man, he's still one of the few conversions to 8-bit in the site's PD section. I always thought that was odd. Anyways, I was always going to convert this guy to Wily Wars Style, but I only got around to it now because of an idea I came up with. I'm actually pretty satisfied with how this guy turned out. Despite being a bit short, he looks really authentic, doesn't he? I guess that's related more to Mr. Collins' skill than my own.

Quintet
http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/559/finishedquintet.png

Dr. Wily
http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/8574/finisheddrwily.png
Didn't do much here. Obviously, this is something of a "Master Sheet," because his original sprites are on there. The rest of his sprites consist of Game Boy, NES, or Wii sprites that I added more detail to. There are also a few honest edits, but not many. Well, now you have a Wily for every situation.

Punk
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/7411/finishedpunk.png
Ah yes, the Mega Killer nobody cares about. Punk was always the closest Mega Killer to a regular Robot Master. You couldn't really think of him as "better." Anyways, this guy underwent the same process as Ballade and Enker, although he is a little more complicated. Because I was working on this guy for my employer, he is fully playable. He turned out much better than I originally thought he would.
Edit: Now with an end ladder climbing sprite.

Pharaoh Man
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/1206/finishedpharaohman.png

Dive Man
http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/2262/finisheddiveman.png

Napalm Man
http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/2530/finishednapalmman.png

Crystal Man
http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/641/finishedcrystalman.png
Ah, yes, another Mega Man 5 Robot Master. You know, these guys weren't very popular. It's unfortunate that they fell between two sets who were more heavy on the personality. Anyways, I didn't do much to him. Gave him a little bit bigger head and a pair of metal undies. Also, I included two sets of colors. One for his official colors, the other for the colors we remember him better by.
Edit: Now half way decent.

Duo
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/8882/finishedduo.png

Ice Man
http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/6666/finishediceman.png

Blast Man
http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/9181/finishedblastman.png
Someone in the sprite request thread was making a request for a few Mega Man Battle Network sprites in 8-bit classic style. Blast Man wasn't one of them, but the idea inspired me to look through the Battle Network section. I saw a Navi that I thought seemed a lot like Heat Man, and the idea of putting his chest thing on his shoulders just came to me. The rest of him is pretty generic. Based on his sprites, you should be able to guess what kind of boss he is.

Tree Woman
http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/8944/finishedtreewoman.png
Isn't she a beauty? That's what I thought. First off, yes, she's obviously Wood Man. Rather than being a completely new Robot Master, she's more of a female counterpart. The other major color for a tree is white, and the other major color for leaves is brown, so I decided that I could make my own tree robot with elements like that. Now, while she's hardly original, I think her design is spectacular. Doesn't she seem like something Inafune himself would create?

Star Man
http://img573.imageshack.us/img573/4237/finishedstarman.png
This guy was requested in my sprite thread, and now he's here. Much like Napalm Man, this guy had Best of Mega Man sprites, so I didn't actually do much here. Unlike Napalm Man, however, Star Man was SEVERELY lacking in detail. To remedy this, I changed his colors a bit, gave him some stars on his knees, and fixed up some of his finer points. Also unlike my above Napalm Man, he has no Wily Wars colors in him. He would be right at home on the Game Gear. He comes in two flavors.

Toad Man
http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/6056/finishedtoadwoman.png
Yep, another enhanced Best of Mega Man sprite. Much like with Star Man, it was just a matter of finding some more appropriate colors. By working with these sprites, I can tell the people who made them didn't care very much. There's a bunch of weird mistakes on the originals that I had to fix. I also gave him a helmetless sprite set. I was working with the idea that Toad Man was really fastidious, despite working in a sewer. That's why his hair is so fabulous.

Cut Man
http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/5416/finishedcutman.png
