Remember when I said they should make a merger game that features all the levels of the 16-bit games? Well, it's not far off in this very promising fan game.

1) The engine plays just like the Mega Drive games
2) Co-op Tails and Knuckles or Sonic and Knuckles etc? No problem.
3) The editor system that lets you make your own levels
4)You can even port levels from Mega Drive save states with the edtor!
5) It's being released on PC and DREAMCAST!

Currently only a demo beta is out, includding a disc image of the Dreamcast version at dcemu.co.uk, but when he full release comes out, it will be fully mod-able thanks to the editor and simple file set up (it uses bitmaps, wavs etc) so expect this to be the next Beats of Rage!

What? you've only just heard of Retro Sonic? its been in public knowledge for someone random person's knows. Yes one of the best fangames coming out, Sonic Forever is another good one but Myst stopped working on that so Nightmare and Zonic are making it now last I remember.

But yeah, finally a fangame better then Sonic: Time Attack!

I had no idea people were still all crazy for STA. Granted I loved it but eventually I found other games.

By a fangame, I meant as in a Sonic fangame. I don't know of any completed Sonic fangame thats proceeds Sonic: Time Attack unless something new came out without me knowing, granted I haven't been to SFGHQ for sometime now.

Personally I prefer Amy: One Girl Army over STA, but OGA isn't a traditional Sonic game. Anyway when here SFGHQ means nothing to me so you can go over and browse yourself if you wish.

The problem I had with Amy: One Girl Army was that I found it to get repeatative fast for me. Other then smash that enemy there and get those new power moves I didn't find much fun in it really.

And I did, didn't find anything in particular that intrested me so I still say Sonic: Time Attack was the best complete Sonic fangame to date, though that'll change eventually when Retro Sonic and perhaps even Sonic Forever comes out.

Ultimate Sonic Flash may replicate the whole 360 aspect of the game, but it losses out on many things, such as level design, fun, and programming errors (like when you lose your ring) also Retro Sonic has custom graphics and more levels.

I think what he meant was that perfection can never be achieved by any video games ever because someone would still have something bad to say about it.

While I am generally calm and understanding with other peoples opinions regarding things I like, I'd like to say that anyone who can find fault within Sonic 2/3&Knuckles should be hung. :D

You forgot Sonic CD .__.

And I can forgive anyone for not saying Sonic The Hedgehog wasn't perfect either, gosh I hate that Labyrinth Zone boss so much, then again, I hate the zone in general.
