This game I guarantee is one of the best battle network games ever made (no offense to Capcom). Of course Capcom gets full credit for the series, characters, etc..., which is given to them on the first screen of the game. My game has fluid controls just like the GBA series, and has advanced AI and interface. It also has some awesome new ideas like summonable viruses, a 4 section navicust, 2 weapons at once, and unique crosses.
This is a full demo that is completely beatable. If you are able to beat all of it, you'll get a rare battlechip to keep for the actual game later.
Look forward to taking you out in the multiplayer version!

Well fuck, you made me come out of my no posting streak. Great job.
Ichigo being in Battle network ANY Mega Man game is a horrible, horrible idea.
Really, rework your story, characters, etc etc. Or there is no way in hell you'll live up to your "greatest Battle Net Work game ever" thing.
TBQH, nothing you do can make it better than the Battle Network Games.

But on the other hand, this is a very good engine, it replicates the main series well. However, the HUD in battle isn't so good looking. Find another place to put the meters for Megaman's weapons and the title of the weapons.
Please don't use the Django defense regarding Ichigo.
I do have to agrre, you did do a fine job replicating the engine. Fpr the msot part.

what if it was Onimusha Blade Warriors =P. What if Megaman and Ichigo was in THAT game. XD Im pretty sure that would be kickass. But then again it isnt specifically a MEGAMAN game, but hey Megaman is in it.

Onimusha is still a capcom made game though.
I agree as well, the engine you have for this game is great but the fact that Ichigo is in this kinda disapoints me, I mean sure, Ichigo is awesome and everything he just doesn't fit in a BN game IMO. I mean I'm sure you can come up with something just as good using an already made Navi or even create your own.
It'd be cool if it was an ichigo inspired NAVI, that would be cool, but this is just putting his sprite into that game that's a little less. The cross ichigo idea was cool thought.
Well, the basic idea is like a Kingdom Hearts type thing where one can cross worlds just so we can introduce multiple iconic characters (whether it be Mario, Link, Naruto, Bleach, etc...). The idea is completely overdone, however it lends itself to great crosses and bosses, so that was the plan.
I mean I understand that it seems like it was thrown in without reason, but it was really fun to code a boss that can go bankai and put on a hollow mask :).
Also, I dunno if you played the game or just watched the videos, but the demo explains everything is just for fun and completely random, so don't take it too seriously. I mean there is a game link there so I would appreciate it if people could try out the game and give me some feedback on the enhanced AI and stuff.
Finally, the reason we're mainly proud of this game thus far would be because of the new weapon system, and because of summonable viruses. I mean being able to actually summon is why we started this game. Timestopping battlechips seemed to always be the disappointment in the battle network games, so we decided to change it ourselves.
Regardless, thanks for the thoughts.
No. Do not mix kingdom hearts with megaman or mario. They dont fit. The only ever mixture of all characters that has succeeded in my opinion is Brawl. KH is fine, but they made sora a goofy kid that looks like a clown(Read: Clown that looks like a human) to fit in the disney thing. Megaman...well. No, he fits in his own franchise better than he does with a runny mouse and a retarded dog and a talking duck. Seriously.

I didn't say it fit well. Again I'm not really trying to make some golden storyline, that's not the point here. It's more just to have sweet crosses and abilities along with fast and exciting gameplay.

...If biochemistry meant gameplay focus...

If you're going to include these characters at least put them in the MMBN style and make them look good.
But the idea is really, REALLY overdone.

Agreed. besides, the whole powering up thing is a very poor excuse. You could make a custom boss who can power up with a skull mask with a bit more effort. also, a story is one of the most important parts of a game. Crossovers are generally poor unless its a fighting game or a more logical one. If you really cant write anything decent then ask someone else to do it. someone will be willing to oblige and nobody's asking you to do this by yourself.
besides, bleach sucks.
bleach is overrated
Fixed/agreed/etc.
Well its good until they reach senkai or whatever it was before bankai.

You can mix whatever you want, since it is your game. However, I do agree that the better route would be to have them in MMBN sprite style (See: Boktai). One thing that could work well is just have Navi design's based off of the characters, yet have their own original stories.
Anyway, very solid engine you have there! Keep it up! I'll leave more in dept comments about it later on as I try it out.
Well in the end if it's just a 'boss run' game, maybe it would work. maybe it's not a bad idea. Maybe. I don't know. Make it and we'll see ;D
Hmm, yeah I guess we'll see. Well anyways, thanks to everyone for playing my game and leaving comments. I wanted some MMBN fans to try it out, because the new enemy AI tends to be pretty intense for those with little to no experience. I mean I still would be shocked if anyone could beat this demo.
...
Is that a challenge?
I accept!
Also, 90%/80% are MMBN fans here.
Ah, well in that case I should also point out to those fans that there are new Program Advances. So if the chips go in alphabetical order, they are a program advance for sure.
The best in the game right now is actually from a traditionally useless chip...

Very solid engine! Played it for a little bit today and I'm at the final fight.
Some small bugs:
If you select Cannon A, then Cannon B, all other chips With the code A are still able to be chosen. This goes for a couple of other similar combinations
Viruses can be pushed back onto the same panel as other viruses with AirShot. Not sure if this is intentional or not.
Pressing shift after just getting emails tells you what's in the email before you even read it.
Aside from the visual errors when transitioning, and Rabbits slow animations, graphically it runs well. I like the 4 separate navicusts, and also the secondary weapon.
Keep it up.
Thanks, and glad ya like it.
With the first 2 glitches/errors you mentioned, those were intentional. With the fast-paced and harder virus AI, we do allow them to step in the same panels (also so summonable viruses don't get in your way), but they will not do so unless they must.
As for the chip selection bit, it is a tiny bit different. The first coded chip you select sets the chip type and code, and both rules can be followed simultaneously. Also, you can restock your whole folder in battle once you run out of chips (takes 3 turns), so constant attacking is a good thing.
Again, thanks for playing and good luck on the final battle!
