wow, its been a while since I've been here. Anyways, I've been thinking about making this game for a while now and finally got started on it. There will be three difficulties, each noted by their graphical difference. easy being what you see above you, normal having a hard dither shading http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/8595/subboss1.png (http://img38.imageshack.us/my.php?image=subboss1.png) and hard mode having a 32-bit colour scheme (which I haven't started yet). As the difficulty increases, the number of moves an enemy has may increase. for example, the last picture is the first sub-boss. on easy it has two moves, a laser beam http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/2497/1subboss.gif (http://img193.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1subboss.gif) and a bite attack http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/7770/1subbossbite.gif (http://img41.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1subbossbite.gif) however, on normal it also has a jumping attack where when it lands rocks fall from the ceiling and on hard it has dash and horn attacks as well

This seems pretty complex. Is this a game idea or are you really going to do this?

I agree with it being a bit too complex as a game, but the idea for the graphics and the characters are brilliant.

Right, about the overcomplexity. Are those animations really going to be used in the game? I hope not (though you are a quite talented sprite animator) because from experience and basic knowledge, I am certain that those animations are not suitable to be in a game. They would just glitch and lodge in mid air.

It does not depend on what engine you use, they need to be more game-suitable.

Curiousity. What game engine/program will you use to make this?
If GameMaker (I can't imagine what else you would use) then be prepared for lodgy glitchyness.

Oh wait, will you even be making this or is this just an idea of a game?
