Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 HD

So, those of us that have been paying attention saw this coming from miles away, but for those of you that are out of the loop, Capcom will be re-releasing Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the PS3 and 360.
I, for one, am extremely excited about this. MvC2 was one of my first fighting games, and I remember spending hours upon hours fighting my older brother on his Dreamcast.
The nostalgia in itself has me sold on this game, and I'm personally hoping for DLC characters like Deadpool from Marvel and maybe some more megaman love from the Capcom side. :p

It's been rumored. It's been practically verified. Now it's announced: Marvel VS Capcom 2 will be coming to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 this summer with a new visual filter and online matching modes.

The game, which was developed for the PS3 and 360 by Foundation 9 and is based on the Dreamcast code, will sell on the Playstation Network Store for $15 and on Xbox Live for 1,200 Microsoft Points.

During their event in Monte Carlo last week, Capcom said that a demo of the game will be coming to the Playstation Network on April 30 in North America and shortly thereafter in the UK. No demo for the 360 was announced.

It features an optional visual filter that smooths out the game's graphics and new online modes, including Ranked Matches and the Quarter matches found in Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, which allows up to four people to watch and chat while two others fight. It also features widescreen support with the gameplay in a 4:3 field, but the viewing area expanded.

The best part? No unlockables in the game. All 56 characters are accessible from the get go.

The original, and this latest version, features brawlers from the Capcom and Marvel universes. It also features 3 on 3 tag-teammatches and four button controls.

I really liked the other version of it I played, so being able to play it in HD will make it look ever so much sexier :)

No unlockables in the game. All 56 characters are accessible from the get go.Clever decision. I've seen an incredible amount of people complain about that.
Well, NOW we're going to see a whole lot of people complain that they want unlockables back of course, but meh... those are fans. They're never happy.

That said, I'll neve play this because I don't have a 360 or PS3. Still, it's nice that it's going to be out, for the ones that DO have these consoles.

Okay, first KOF XII, now this? Screw it, I'm getting an Xbox.

On one hand, I'm kind of dissapointed by the fact that everyone's available from the start. Unlocking characters as I play gives me incentive to keep playing.
On the other hand, though, having everyone available means I can play as all my favorite characters without having to work for them.
If only I could remember who my favorite characters were. :X

I don't really mind not having to unlock all the characters...but what King Reaper said is true. Trying to unlock all the characters does make you want to keep playing.
