New Legend of Zelda announced at GDC 09 (http://kotaku.com/5183949/the-legend-of-zelda-spirit-tracks-coming-to-the-ds)

Planned to be released later this year.

Haven't seen any game play vids or the trailer yet, but it sounds like Phantom Hourglass with Trains. =/

a lot of the comments on that page were kind of negative toward the game, but considering how good the other zeldas(well, except for... THOSE) are, I can't wait...even if M&L 3 is still my most anticipated game this year.

I'm sorry but...LAAAAAAAAAAAAME!

I absolutely LOVE zelda games, I absolutely HATE that look of link, the minish cap, wind waker look he has. It's so absolutely stupid, wimpy, and childish.

and seriously, trains? How unzelda-like can you get? It's supposed to be a limited technology world with a monarchy government, that's why I hate these new ones with the new storyline.

I played phantom hourglass, the gameplay is really awkward. Even when I get used to it it's still extremely weird. I hate using the touch screen to move and slash

All and all, it's a zelda game and I'll probably get it, but these new link looks suck and the idea of trains sucks. Link needs to look more grown up and adult like. Even the child link from ocarina of time looked tougher than these new ones.

Stupid stupid stupid. You'd think if they had trains then they'd have guns. Why don't they just give link a gun now? Seriously! What stupid thing are they gonna add next that will destroy what zelda is supposed to be?

Fugsnarf, no need to rant.
I for one think that this is an interesting idea, and just be cause there are trains does not mean there would be guns. And look at the city in the sky from TP, that was a flying city! How is that not modern/futeristic.
Plus I also happen to like wind waker's art style.

There are guns. They're called cannons, and have been in Zelda games before, if I'm not mistaken.

I hope this game has some kind of option to control with the D-pad and buttons... just because there is a touchscreen doesn't mean it should be used for everything.

The most disappointing thing is that Conductor/Mailman Link doesn't wear the Mailman's Hat from Majora's Mask. D:

Chillax, it won't be as bad as Zelda CD-i. It looks like it will occupy your intrest once you play it. Like I always say, don't knock it til' you try it.

Ha ha ha, that DOES look pretty cheesy.

I'll prolly pick it up - I did have a ridiculous amount of fun with Minish Cap & Phantom Hourglass. And I like Toon Link. He's fun to mock, and Phantom Hourglass did that at times.
