So DQV recently came out for the DS, and I'm wondering if anyone else is gonna get it, and if anyone does, what they think of it. Me? I plan to get it as soon as I can for several reasons.

1. It's a Square Enix game.

2. It's Dragon Quest.

3. DQV's been widely known as the best in the series.

These three facts alone are enough to get me to buy it, but do you think?

I liked the first three alot more.

I might get this, depends on if I'm in the mood for lvl grinding...

I've got this game, I'm already at the point I've got a magic carpet. The one thing I can say is, if you get a Golem, keep it in your party... ALWAYS.

Is the game any fun Galeon?

Well... Out of the Zenithian Trilogy games, I enjoyed this one the most... Given the fact it never WAS released in the US. For one thing, combat here is fairly simple and you'll never see your characters actually attack (given it's in FPV). But the story of the DQ series has always been it's strongest point, and this game definitely delivers.

Got it via Gamefly today, and unsurprisingly, I'm loving every moment of it.

First off, party chat is back! (don't have an actual party yet; still at the first cave, but still)

Also the characters all seem pretty likeable, particulary the three potentiol wives. Their impressions on me in the "First Generation":

Bianca: Kind, mild-mannered

Nera: shy, proper

Deborah: Rude, brash, snarky
