I think, that looking at the many users who are hobby of animating (whether Clay, Lego, even digitally such as Flash) that we should share them, in a fun way, such as holding small contests. Just small ones. We don't want to waste our work time making long, movies. And we do not want to waste money either, should we have prizes? I say that Spritesinc forums are the first ever to hold everyone-friendly animation contests - without the need of expensive prizes, and that there are no minimum in how professional of an animator you are.
As a spare-time stopmotion/flash animator myself, I think that it is a good idea to hold contests also so that we don't make animations for, nothing. Like we always do.
If this really does happen, here are the basics:
-Anyone can enter.
-Keep prizes to a minimum
-Any form of animation is accepted.
-Short films,
rules are what the topic is
-Have fun
Remember that this is just a suggestion, I am not absolutely ape-crazy persuading you for this. And besides, I am not even near being the best stopmotion animator (www.youtube.com/bleson) but I enjoy it, and I think it needs a use.
So, what do you think?
EDIT: This thread better get a reply by this week.
