Is anyone else excited for this?

Its not a continuation, But a re-start following the Manga better.

And Since FMA in my favorite anime series, I was blown away to hear of a new series coming out.

First a new DBZ special and now this? What next?

A restart following the manga better.... Hmm... I'm excited because its FMA. But now, well I don't know the manga, at all, so I'm not quite sure following the manga more will make it better or worse. The original was dang effective...

From what I read/know of the Manga it will be a HELL of alot better. Alot more plot and none of that, "two worlds" crap that ruined the original's ending for me. But anyway, frowm what I heard in an Anime Insider Mag I got it was actually going to be a sequel to the first Anime. But who knows? Either way I'll be happy I guess.

And sorry to be out of topic, but I don’t like FMA that much... too dark for my tastes.

Have you watched the new OVA of DBZ? it was horrible, But this remake of FMA following the manga is way better than that OVA.

How exactly does a remake of an anime series make sense. I like the fact that its full metal alchemist. But a remake would just have the same villains only with a different plot. if i am correct. Greed would still be greed, and etc. I haven't seen the manga so i don't know much about how it is different from the anime. But i heard somewhere else the main charecter was going to be a girl this time. So what was that all about?

Actually, no they wouldn't. Greed, Wrath, and most of the other Homunculi(or however you spell it) were switched or completely different from the original anime. For instance, Pride in the Anime was actually Wrath in the Manga. Sloth was actually a Big slow guy. And there was no Dante in the Manga. The main villian of the Manga is a guy named Father.

So Sloth was actually more like an animal Sloth? Instead of a Water girl? (i hope i am remembering correctly sloth was the one that was ed's mom right?)
Okay, now that makes me want to watch it. Through i wouldn't be suprised if somethings were still diffrent from both. All i know about the manga is that Greed got crusified for some reason.

Yea, Sloth was actually tasked to dig a gigantic Alchemical Circle around a town to turn in into a P. Stone. He's been digging it for ten years if I remember correctly.

Yea, Ed and Al's Mom never becomes a Homunculus. And in the Manga, after one of the Homunculus dies they can be replaced so there can be more than one Greed and what not.
