Maverick Contest.

Alright, this contest has rules to be followed:
All sprites will be accepted (even if its a recolor or a C+P), unless it was stolen.
The bittage is 16-bit, MMX 1-3 style.
There will be 3 other judges who I will pick. Please don't spam the topic and post here you want to be a judge. PM me for that.
The judging will go as follows:
The highest score is 8, the lowest is 0. The judges will judge by the following:

Color (Does it use bright MSpaint colors or colors that make you go "wow"?)
Style (does it match the desired style?)
How it looks (like, does it look like Capcom made it?)
Orginality (The name and how it looks)

You are able to submit as many as you want. If you are a judge, you can submit, but can't judge their own maverick(s).
This is a month long contest. It may lengthen or shorten.
Please post here only if it contains a submission or a question related to the contest. Ok?

Whoa, whoa, whoa! I thought you said it wasn't for that? You can't turn around and say, "I might use some of these for a comic." That's just not how it works. This is either a contest for the sake of a contest, or an excuse to get a cast for a comic or game. You told me it was a contest, let's keep it that way please.

Raven is some sort of middle between hunter and Maverick, much like Vile. Then again... He's completely insane.

He looks like Vile, but red and new equipment of weapons.

The character itself has quite the background and is heavly constructed to be his own little unique madman.

This is why Raven is a berserker, when going completely mad, he becomes alot stronger, making him both swift and very strong. Very dangerous while in this form, but even if he is quick and strong, his intelligence decreases radically, becoming in a state of a kamekaze person, he fights till he can fight no longer. Which means he doesnt give in on anything 'cept when hes dead.
Chance of Overload is 5% chance (bigger then you might believe since it rolls after every attack he takes.)

perfect aim is almost exactly as it sounds, it gives Raven a sensor which makes him able to read movements for a amount of time. This ability needs battle rage engaged, while Raven has Perfect Aim active, it will almost be impossible to dodge a hit, since the shurikens becomes 50% homing, but they usually never hit many critical areas.

Jetpack Skill (does not count in with character skills):

Takes Raven a half hour to renegate the fuel to fully, but takes him two seconds to renegate the fuel enough to make a safe landing from medium distance (about 5 to 10 meters airbourn.)
Refilled 2% of fuel takes about 2 seconds, but it goes slower for ever %.

Describtion: Raven is the same Reploid class as Vile. And having him seeing him as his arch enemy (Vile barely knows about Raven and doesnt care about him) he seeks to utterly destroy Vile... Along with everybody else on the planet.

History: Before entering the eclipse wars he was a maverick. Raven have had many battles with all kinds of mavericks and hunters... Countless battles.

Raven was trained to be an Range Fighter. He found his Windmill Shuriken in a Forbidden cave 50 years ago, Its possessed with a Ability Raven only uses when he must.

Raven hates completely everyone, specially Raikon and Sigma. But like Vile, hes a High qualitied Long Range fighter, Trained by the best.
He ended up in the Eclipse wars when searching for people to kill, meeting with up a Maverick Hunter, as a mission was going on, Raven decided to join, he took a Racer and followed the hunter to the place, he got slowed down when they where there but ended up 4th in the end and found his saber.

2 Missions later, Raven defended a rocket that was sent against the mavericks, which turned out to be his own end in his own body. Raven got captured and had his body changed with Phoenix, &quot;Thanks&quot; to a maverick.

Due his location was unknown till a Maverick Hunter Commander sent out a small group of reploids that was out for years and searched for the real Raven, knowing that Raven may still be alive.

The party had found Raven after some months of researching where the old ruins of the Eclipse 3 battle field was. The party reactivated Ravens damaged and rusted body, after a weeks treatment with the small amount of medical supply they have, Ravens body was almost restored.

The group decided to leave the place, but did not get far, after two days of walking, they were ambushed by Mavericks, Raven barely got out. Raven's goals and some of his personallity changed while being trapped in the cave.

He became maverick again, he shows hostility against everyone, but does not harm unless someone angers him. Raven returned to the base where he met up with some fellow hunters.

After some missions he met Crow, which was alot stronger then Raven, throwing him into a wall, he began to respect her. after some missions they grew inlove. Crow later died by the hands of an Tiger type maverick named Flameblade, which still has not been found and eliminated by Raven.

Raven did leave the hunters for a long while in the search for the enemy but were out of success, after about 5 years he returned to the eclipse base to find it empty, the signs of war was clear and he could almost expect what had happend, the maverick hunters had been killed.

In both frustration and anger he began his search for a remaining base of the maverick hunters... He searched for about 3 years of a base, and at last, after many hard battles, he heard news about a castle, he rushed towards this castle.

Finding it, he was not accepted in by the guards, desperate to find aid in his search for the killer of his love, he slay'd the guards, having lost all his weapons 'cept for a simple shuriken during the time hes been searching.

He accidently broke the already rusty and very damaged shuriken against a guards skull. His armor was broken, his weapon was useless, he was weak and his mind shatterd in depression.
He fell unconsious when the backup arrived. The guards picked him up and brought him to the medical bay strangely, he woke up after about a week of coma, they started asking him out.

Telling them why he killed the guards, they did not believe him and threw him out. Raven's anger was unbearable, a maverick maverick hunter that were thrown out from what he only had left.

He turned to the guards that threw him out, he made a rude gesture against before walking away from them.
His mind had changed, he did'nt need the hunters, he would kill them all. Throwing him out when he offered them his aid, they would pay a certain price, death...

Seeking out the Maverick HQ, before they could attack he shouted that he wanted to discuss. The guards laughed at him, but let a sniper joe walk up to him, along with several mets and chain-ball knights.

Raven explained that he was tried of the d*mn hunters and just wanted to see them all dead.

And with Ravens way of speaking, he was welcomed in to talk to their leader. A short discussion with their leader, and giving out every information he could give to the maverick, he joined their cause.

An anger burned within him, like fuel to the flame.
A berserker demon that would not allow his life end untill his revenge was over, but the question is if he will live that long...

Its not jsut punching below the belt, its also outside the spirit of contests, where the sprite should be made explicitly for the contest it'll be enterred in.

... Also, you may want to clean up the shading on your Maverick, Its horibally pillow shaded and the details are cluttered beyond decent viewability. Also, the colors consistancy and balance is all wrong.

1. I have to agree with Megajosh on that. What ever happened to your typing?
2. Unofficially. Quickman normally warns people for reviving month(s) old topics.
3. You can change how the date is read in your User CP.
4. Since the sprite is suposed to be MMX1-3 style, you probably wouldn't want to use Junkman's legs for your maverick's leg.

Edit: Oh, and one more thing. This thread is stickied, so even if Megajosh did revive it, we can't warn him for it.
