And discs get scratched too easily.
We should go back to using carts.

Agreed?

Memory cards are better for renting games plus you can use them on a friends disc n' such, but I agree about the discs.

How about Cartridges, AND Memory Cards?

Stick the Memory Card, in the Cartridge, in the Console.

Or go back to the N64 way of having a memory card attached to the controller and use carts.

Not memory cards, but flash memory. That would've been more effective.

Carts get dusteh. Who doesn't remember blowing into the NES carts.

Also, flash memory will never be used commercially like that since they're much designed to be rewriteable, no point spending extra money like that when you can just press a CD/DVD.

What about a game consoles harddrive?

That solves both solutions.... oh wait...

Forgot the Wii. Nevermind.

Yeah, retards didn't give the option to save GC to Wii memory, a much more reliable memory method than the cards. >_> They do have hack for it though, but I've never tried them because you need to do the Twilight hack, and I don't own Twilight Princess for Wii. (I opted for the GC version)

Someday we will go back to a cart like format. The reason. CDs DVD and the like. Are.... SLOOOOOOW. It will probably end up something like flash memory. Heck... it could end up fiber optic based. Just a pressed plate of clear plastic. But no moving parts is the way to go.

At least with cartridge the console doesn't burn a needed part out all that often.

Personally, I think memory cards, while now a necessary evil, were money scams. I paid 30 bucks for a 1000-whatever block gamecube card when they were 2 years old. first you buy the game, then you buy a memory card with a price equivalent to a game. Nintendo makes profit from gamestop, gamestop makes profit from charging you for something that should be part of one of two things: The game, or the Console, either as a hard drive or removable slice of plastic.
