Sure, their music is uninspired, monotonous, and effortless (which terrifies me, as bands who do loads of drugs are usually good) and their culture sucks, but at least they're keeping it to themselves.

I personally don't like emo kids, due to the fact that all the ones I know. Look like girls, they all wear girl pants, wear eyeliner, and cry alot. Like it says, they are the new goths, except they aren't good enough to be called goth. I wish grass were emo, then it would cut itself.

To be honest, I hate the fact that many people have decided to class anything of an alternative persuasion as emo or, as some ginger twat called me, a mosher. Which doesn't make sense at all. Musically, isn't emo supposed to be Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse, and all those bands who I actually rather like, instead of bands like Fall Out Boy who are just mopey pop-punk, or Lostprophets, who really are just record company fulfilling media whores?

"Emo" today is all bullshit.
Back in the 80's, when "Emo" was born with Rites of Spring, it was good. The media has changed it into what it is today, which is very, very sad--emo almost.
Emo is just actually being misunderstood, that plus the fact that my girlfriend think she's Emo just because she cuts herself but I always slap her and tell her that's not it...and then we make-out.
Not just misunderstood, but misrepresented.
