Okay before posting the story(or lack there of), you need to mold your mind to these few prerequisits(sp?). Not saying that they are the real canon.

1) Think that The Battle Network games went before the Classic series.
making the Robot Masters originally Navis placed into Robotic Shells.
2) Think that Powered Up happened instead of Classic 1.

Now for the story, just remember that it might make the eyes bleed.

Rockman X: End Game

Late 21XX.
The Maverick Hunters gain knowledge of a secret weapon called an ELF.
The ability of the ELF is unknown, as are its whereabouts.
The Maverick Hunter group consisting of X, Zero and Axl are sent out to find this weapon.
They must do so quickly, for who knows what would happen if it fell into the wrong hands.

X (comlink): I've found a room we haven't been in yet. I'm going in.
Zero (static cutting out): Wai... Go... by... se...
X(comlink): Sorry, I didn't get that. Just come on in when you get here. We need to find the ELF.
Axl (to Zero): Ummm... We might need to get there quickly.
Zero: Yeah let's hurry.

Rockman goes through the level in search for the ELF. When he finally finds it, Zero and Axl catch up to him.
Two shots go off, one into the head of Axl, and one in the chest of Zero. Both of them fall. Out from the shadows appears a new Sniper Joe.

Joe: So Rock, we finally meet. I've heard so much about you.
X: You're just a basic soldier, how are you powerful enough to take out Zero and Axl in so few shots?
Joe: Oh, I'm not a basic soldier, I have been modified, I am a normal Sniper, just taken apart and made better. And your friends were just too weak.
X: You sonuva...

The battle ensues between X and Sniper Joe.

Sniper Joe is taking very little damage, but X gave enough to give him enough time to escape.
X makes it out of the building, and on to the surface. Where The Joe takes a winning shot.

X blacks out.

X wakes up in a hospital.

Nurse: He's finally awake.
X: Where am I?
Nurse: You are in New Haven. We brought you from that Labratory, you were badly damaged, but not so that we couldn't repair you.
X: What about Zero and Axl?!
Nurse: We couldn't help your friends, We are but medical droids, and that Sniper was still at the Lab, standing over your body. He allowed us to take you, but we don't really know why.
X: I've got to head back!
Nurse: No you don't if you go back you will be destroyed, you are in too bad of shape.
X: I don't care, I have got to help my friends.
Nurse: We can't stop you, but your headquarters can.
X: What do you mean?
Nurse: While you were in surgery your comlink went off. It was your HQ. We told them that we were repairing you, and they said for us to relay the message that you are to report back when you are awake.
X: Dammit!

X is taken to the front door of the hospital and walks off toward the Maverick Hunter HQ.

On the way there, X is confronted by a Yellow Devil weilding Zero's sword and Axl's gun.

X: You bastard!
Devil: What? Are these your friends'? I just saw these lying beside two dead reploids. One was too damaged for my master so I took it and well, here look for yourself.
The Devil pulls out a marionette made of the remains of Axl.
But there were so many spare parts, that I just threw them away. Then the red one, I thought my master would like so I left it there, just placed it in a barrier so no one else could take it.
X: Give me the key for the barrier, and I'll let you live a bit longer.
Devil: Oh, and what if I don't? I am the only one that knows of the barrier, I haven't told anyone about it yet. If you kill me you'll never crack the barrier.
X: Well, if you're not going to cooperate, I guess I'll just have to kill you and break the barrier.
Devil: What? Are you stupid? I just said that no one could crack the thing.
X: Well, I guess I'll just find out.

A battle between X and the Yellow Devil.

X destroyes the Yellow Devil, picks up the Z-Saber, the Axl Pistol and Axl, and starts walking again toward the Maverick Hunter's HQ.
X aquires new weapons "Z-Saber, and Axl Pistol!"

On the way there X gets a transmission from the Base telling him that the base is under attack and the transmission cuts out.

X gets to the HQ to find it in flames.

From the flames walks the Sniper Joe.

Joe: So, X, how does it feel to be alone?
X: Why are you doing this?
Joe: I am only doing what my master bids.
X: Well I hope your master bids that you die! Because if he doesn't, he'll be very disappointed in you!

X and the Joe fight, this time the fight ends in the favor of X.

X ends the battle with bashing his hand into the head of the Joe. And ripping off his sniper arm.
X aquires New Weapon "Sniper Arm!"

Mourning for the loss of his friends, X is startled by the sound of Alia's voice.

Alia (comlink): X... X... X. Can you hear me?
X: Alia is that you?
Alia (comlink): Yes, yes it is, and it's great to see you are still alive.
X: Did anyone else survive?
Alia (comlink): Very few. There are twenty of us in all including myself and you. What about Zero and Axl?
X: They didn't make it. How did that Sniper Joe wipe out all of Maverick Hunter HQ?
Alia (comlink): There were more than just the Joe. But it is still amazing, there were nine of them that did this damage.
X: Eight now, I just had a run-in with the Joe, and well, he won't be problem now.
Alia (comlink): You need to meet up with us. Head to the normal rendezvous point, we will fill you in with the information we have on the enemies.

X heads toward the redezvous point.

That is really all I have of the story so far, I would like to make it into a game at some point, but I would need to build a team first.

Continuity(sp?) notes: The labratory at the beginning that Zero and Axl get shot by the Joe in is the same Lab that Zero is found in at the beginning of Rockman Zero.

Sorry for the bleeding of the eyes.

Here is the rest of it... it is very redundant, but that is because it is meant to give the idea of a video game, with character select screens and the such, it is worse than the first part. just remember the first few things I said, about getting your mind ready for the story.

Rockman X: End Game

X arrives at the rendezvous point, to find Alia and the other 18 Maverick Hunters that survived the attack.
X sets Axl's body down on the ground, and the Hunters all gather around his body.

X: I am going to destroy those bastards for what they have done to the Maverick Hunters.
Alia: I am glad to hear that I have information about the whereabouts of the Mavericks.

(If this was a game this is where the enemy select screen would appear, just for sake of story lets just go in the order of how I have the Mavericks listed in my notes.)

X: Tell me about Double Bunny.
Alia: Double Bunny is a quick maverick with the ability to make a duplicate of herself, and on top of that she can jump quite high, making her a hard target to hit.
X: A challenge, I am going to enjoy destroying them.
Alia: X, you don't need to sink to their level and kill in cold blood. You are killing for the fact of they have become Mavericks, not because our friends are dead.
X: No. But our friends being dead makes it easier to get the job done.

(Because Hunter HQ is destroyed, X cannot teleport from the HQ to the Maverick's stage, he has to walk.)
X heads off to the Industry Park in search of Double Bunny.

X gets to the Industry Park, and goes through the level, making it to the Bunny.

Double Bunny: I was wondering when you would arrive. It's been so boring waiting for you to appear. Maybe we shouldn't have destroyed the whole base, that way you could have just teleported here. Waiting on you has made me very bored.
X: I don't care for your boredom. If you want to do something you can... No, I am not going to kill in cold blood. You are a Maverick, and it is time that you are exterminated.
Double Bunny: Oh you're no fun, making this all business. Let's make it a game, loser dies, and winner... well, you know.
X: Just shut up.

X and Double Bunny fight and X wins.

X goes over to Double Bunny's body and takes her ability chip.

X gains new weapon "Double Bunny Soul"

(This would appear after the first level no matter who it was.)
Alia (comunit): X, we have been able to recover a single teleporter from the base, we will have it working soon.
X: That's good, but this walking is helping me think, so take your time.
Alia (comunit): Alright.
(Enemy select would appear here.)
X: Alia tell me about Pyro Opossum.
Alia (comunit): Pyro Opossum is the Maverick that set the HQ on fire. Information shows that Pyro Opossum's fire can get hot enough to melt the metal of any reploid it touches. He also has the ability to walk on the ceiling so it might be a bit hard to hit him with your X buster.
X: Thanks, I'm heading for him next.

X heads to the Blazing Forest, knowing that a forest on fire must be where the Opossum is residing.

X gets to the Blazing Forest, goes through the level, and makes it to Pyro Opossum's lair.

X: Come out Opossum, I know you are here.
Pyro Opossum: What? Oooo a Hunter. I thought we roasted all of them.
X: No. I was too busy playing with your friend, Joe.
Pyro Opossum: Just because I work with him, doesn't mean that he was my friend.
X: Doesn't matter, he's dead anyway.
Pyro Opossum: Eh, I don't really care. But there is one thing that I don't like.
X: And that is?
Pyro Opossum: I didn't give you the warm welcome I was told to give you.

Pyro Opossum fires a shot at X. X jumps it. and Pyro Opossum jumps and sticks to the cieling of the room.

X and Pyro Opossum fight and X wins.

X goes over to Pyro Opossum's body and takes his ability chip.

X gains new weapon "Pyro Tail"

(This would appear after the second level no matter who it was.)
Alia (comunit): X, I know that you want revenge, but you need to take it easy. It's getting dark and you need rest, you have been through a lot today.
X: You're right, I do need rest. I'll continue hunting down these lowlifes in the morning.

X sets up camp and goes to sleep.

During the night X is either awakened or is having a dream, X doesn't know what it is.
Across the way X sees an early version of himself, wearing a scarf and walking closer.
X rubs his eyes and looks closer. The other keeps walking closer and raises his buster and points it at X.
X gets up and gets ready for battle.

X fights early version X and wins.

X wakes up the morning, not knowing if it was real or a dream. Waking to the voice of Alia.

Alia (comunit): X are you awake?
X: Yeah, Yeah I am. And I am ready to continue my job.
(enemy select would appear here)
X: Alia, any info on Tanglewood Dragon?
Alia (comunit): Not much, all known is that it is a Reploid made of Wood.
X: Wood? Are you sure?
Alia (comunit): Yeah, wood I swear.
X: Sure it's not synthetic?
Alia (comunit): Intelligence shows that it is real wood, but for some reason he didn't burn when he was in the HQ fire... I am not sure what is going on here.
X: I'll find out.

X heads to the Caverns.

X gets to the Caverns, goes through the level, and makes it to Tanglewood Dragon.

Tanglewood Dragon: Welcome, X, and how was your trip?
X: Just an annoyance, the anticipation of knowing that you were the goal was murder.
Tanglewood Dragon: Speaking of murder, how are the Hunters?
X: They send their regards, and more.

X fights Tanglewood Dragon and wins.

X walks over to Tanglewood Dragon's body and takes his ability chip.

X gains new weapon "Dragon Spikes"

(This would appear after the third enemy no matter who it was)
Alia (comunit): X, we need you to try teleporting here.
X: The teleport unit is fixed?
Alia (comunit): Well, it is half way. You can teleport here, but you can't teleport out of here yet. It will at least let you rest and gain more information here at the base.
X: Alright, here I come.

X teleports back to the base.

Alia: Success!
Maverick Hunter Scientist: X, I have something for you to try. This will allow you to equip two weapons at once.
X: Nice. This will help out very much.

X gains new equipment "Dual Weild"

X: It's great to see progress on new equipment, and the teleporter working half way, but Alia I need information on Winter Buck.
Alia: Winter Buck's an Ice based reploid. It seems to be the only of the Pantheon that had a purpose before they went Maverick. He worked at Winterland as a tourguide/sideshow barker. But alas we don't know where he is now. Maybe you can check Winterland Amusement Park.
X: Sounds like a lead.

X heads to Winterland Amusement Park.

X: There are Maverick Mechanaloids everywhere here, this must be where he is, I'm heading in.

X enters Winterland, goes through the level, and makes it to Winter Buck.

Winter Buck: Welcome, welcome, welcome. Welcome one welcome all, and welcome you X. Welcome to Winterland. Step right up and meet your demise.
X: Shut your mouth and prepare to feel the vengance of the Maverick Hunters.
Winter Buck: I don't buy Snake Oil, kid. You must be able to prove your product works before it sells.
X: Well here you go, this is the recommended dose.

X fights Winter Buck and wins.

X walks over to Winter Buck's body and takes his ability chip.

X gains new weapon "Blizzard Rack"

(This would appear after the fourth enemy no matter who it was)
Alia (comunit): X, this is urgent. We have come across a reploid that is not on record.
X: What are you talking about? All reploids since 21...(cuts out)... have been registered.
Alia (comunit): Well, this one wasn't, and what's scary, is it seems to be the same model as you.
X: How can that be? Wasn't I the first of our kind?
Alia (comunit): All records show that you were, but this may prove to make that null.
X: Where is it now?
Alia (comunit): That is not known. A blip appeared and disappeared.
X: Can't you track the blip?
Alia (comunit): It was too short of a blip to be tracked.
X: Then are you sure it wasn't just me or a glitch?
Alia (comunit): It could have been. And with the computer knowing that you are where you are, it might have given an "unknown" label to the glitch.
X: See, it was just a glitch.
(enemy select would appear here)
X: Anyway, I need information on Viral Viper.
Alia (comunit): Viral Viper is one of the most dangerous of the Pantheon, he can cause a reploid to go Maverick with a single bite. Just make sure when you go against him you stay away from him.
X: I'll make sure to be safe, I'm off.

X heads to the Black Desert.

X gets to the Black Desert, goes through the level, and makes it to Viral Viper.

Viral Viper: I have nothing to say to you, my master is just an annoying bug, but he is a powerful bug. And he says that you must suffer.
X: Suffer? Not die?

Viral Viper attacks right after X asks that question.
X dodges and the battle starts.

X and Viral Viper fight and X wins.

X walks over to Viral Viper's body and takes his ability chip.

X gains new weapon "Viper Strike"

(This would appear after the fifth enemy no matter who it was)
Alia (comunit): X, you are working yourself too much. You either need to come in and rest and get any repairs you need.
X: I am not damaged in any bit, just tell me the information I need.
Alia (comunit): X, I an just worried about you. You are making this more personal, the farter you go.

X: I don't care how personal it gets. I just need to avenge all the fallen Hunters. I need information to do that.
Alia (comunit): I know. Here, I am helping. This is the information for Thieving Magpie. He is a flying reploid with the ability to swoop and copy the weapon you have equipped at the time. Just be careful.
X: I will be.

X heads to Downtown Dentech.

X gets to Downtown Dentech

X: This place looks familiar...

goes through the level, and makes it to Thieving Magpie.

Thieving Magpie: Hello there, Rock. And how are you today... You don't look so well.
X: You can go to Hell. Straight to Hell for what you did to my friends.
Thieving Magpie: Now is that how a hero usually talks?
X: At the moment I am not a "hero," at the moment I am the voice of vengence.

X fights Thieving Magpie and wins.

X walks over to Thieving Magpie's body and takes his ability chip.

X gains new weapon "Viper Strike"

(This would happen after the sixth enemy no matter who it was)
X: Alia, I am going to need some help send someone...
X passes out.
X wakes up back at the base with the Maverick Hunter Scientist looking down at him.
Scientist: You took too much damage, you should have let us repair you before you got this bad.
X: What do you mean?
Scientist: You were overheated. So much that it destroyed your cooling unit. Whoever designed you didn't make it easy to repair cooling units, it is right behind your main processor, and there is no way to get to it. But I was able to make a primative steam release unit.
X: Steam release, that is primative.
Scientist: I have even taken the liberty to update your HUD, so you can tell when you need to release the steam. You can only release the steam when the meter hits the red line. But if you try to release the steam too soon, you will stall, for you would release your energy. And one more thing, if you don't release the steam before the meter hits the top, you will explode, and that's it for you.
X: So not only are the Pantheon trying to kill me, you are too.
Scientist: I'm not try...
X: Come on Doc, eventhough I am pissed at the Pantheon, I am still able to joke a bit.
Alia (comunit): Doc, how is X?
Scientist: He is doing well, I believe he hates the primative steam release unit though.
Alia (comunit): Who could blame him, I would hate having that in me also. X, do you still need more rest, or are you ready to go?
X: I'm ready, I need the information.
(enemy select would appear here)
Alia (comunit): Well, Tempest Raven is your basic flying air reploid with a bad attitude.
X: That's it?
Alia (comunit): Yeah. Nothing really that interesting about him, you've faced this multiple times before, you shouldn't have a hard time.

X heads toward Memorial Air Port.

X gets to Memorial Air Port, goes through the level, and makes it to Tempest Raven.

Tempest Raven: I'm not basic. Intelligence can lie sometimes.
X attacks Tempest Raven, and Tempest Raven dodges.

X fights Tempest Raven and wins.

X: You were basic.

X walks over to Tempest Raven and takes his ability chip.

X gains new weapon "Tempest Storm"

(This would happen after the seventh enemy no matter who it was)
Alia (comunit): It seems that the Pantheon has more than the nine Mavericks. Intelligence says that there are four more that we didn't see in the attack.
X: Well, the boss would never show up to war, and the other three must be his bodyguards, it's just the typical Maverick force.
Alia (comunit): Well anyway I have the information you need for the last of the front wave Pantheon Mavericks.
(enemy select would appear here)
X: Alright, tell me about the Paranoid Piranoid.
Alia (comunit): The Piranoid, there is no information other than where he resides. He would keep to himself. Usually just attacking anyone that would enter the abandoned aquarium.
X: Well, I guess I am to head to the abandoned aquarium.
Alia (comunit): Good luck.

X heads toward the Abandoned Aquarium.

X gets to the Abandoned Aquarium, goes through the level, and makes it to Paranoid Piranoid.

Paranoid Piranoid: Who's there?
X: Your final sight.
Paranoid Piranoid: Ahhh. X, and that is... yes, yes it is, that is Zero's Z-Saber. Are you just using it because you think it looks cool or are you using it because you think it will give Zero the honour of killing us?
X: No, I know it is I that is killing you, but Zero's weapon just works so well. Want to see.

X fights Paranoid Piranoid and wins.

X walks over to Paranoid Piranoid and takes his ability chip.

X gains new weapon "Piranoid Launcher"

(This would happen after the eighth enemy no matter who it was)
Alia (comunit): X, we have the teleporter working, and we have found the location of the leader of the Pantheon. You just have to use the teleporter to get there.
X: I'm coming in, warm up the teleporter.
X teleports to the base.
Alia: X, you might need to know what you are going up against up there.
X: I don't care what it is. I am going to kill it whatever it is.
Alia: You are almost crossing the Maverick line yourself X.
X: If I become Maverick, kill me. But before that happens, I need to finish this work.
X teleports to Skull Station Remains.

X falls over after seeing where he had appeared. Memories of Wily and the Robot Masters flood his mind. Light tried to erase the memories, but they still remained.

X gets up to see that mechanaloids are coming toward him. He knows what he must do, and presses forward.

X fights through the level. Getting to a green coloured version of himself.

Quint: Hello again, Rock.
X: I remember you.
Quint: Yes, you should, I am you, well, a copy of the original. You were rebuilt by Light after you were demolished, and Wily took the design of your original model and made me. (mockingly) So would that make me your dad, or your uncle?
X: Neither, it makes you a wannabe.
Quint: Oh come on, don't you feel anything between us?
X: The only thing I feel between us is my X-Buster pointed at you.

X fights Quint and wins.

X walks over to Quint, takes his Sakugame.

X gains new weapon "Sakugame"

???: Oh, come on now, where is your sportsmanship? Are you that sore of a winner?
X: Come out and face me.
???: Okay, here I am.
X: I thought you were a dream.
Rockman?: No, I'm real, and I am you, or at least I am going to be you.
X: What do you mean by that?
Rockman?: Well after I kill you, I am going to take your place on Earth, and well... you get the point.
X: You will never kill me, my urge of vengance is more powerful than that.
Rockman?: Oh I will kill you.
X: Lets see you do that.

X and Rockman? fight and X wins.

X walks over to Rockman?.

X: See you won't kill me, you're dead.
X: Now where is the boss? These clowns are not it.

X spots a teleporter and gets on.

X fights through the level, and makes it to the end just to see another face of his past... Auto

Auto charges at X.

X fights Auto.

Auto: Oh you're no fun.
Auto changes into Duo.

Duo charges at X.

X fights Duo.

Duo: Do none of these faces affect you at all?
Duo changes into Fan.

Fan charges at X.

X fights Fan.

Fan: Well Fan was a wimp that didn't help that much.
Fan changes into Forte.

X looks at Forte confused as if his brain is about to snap.

Forte charges at X

X fights Forte.

Forte: Now we're getting somewhere, reactions.
Forte changes into Blues.

X looks at Blues more confused than he did at Forte.

Blues charges at X
X fights Blues.

Blues: This is finally starting to be fun.
Blues changes into Roll

X: What are you doing to me? These memories... Are they mine? Who are these people?
Roll: Do you not recognize your own sister? That's awful, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Roll charges at X

X fights Roll

Roll: Oooo Master was right this is as fun as he said it would be.
Roll changes into Dr. Light.

X starts twitching, almost about to fall over.
X: This is not really The Doctor, don't give in to the memories.
Light: X, the people are just not ready for you. That's what I said wasn't it. But do you remember why I really locked you up in the capsule? Why the X system wasn't ready for humanity? You weren't the first of my robots that used the X system, you were just the first one that didn't go haywire and try to kill everyone. But you still had a reason to be upgraded into the X system, rebuilt. To be rebuilt you needed to be destroyed. Now why was that again.
X: You are not Doctor Light! Don't try to confuse me!

X charges at Light.

X fights LIght.

LIght: Now is that anyway to treat your creator?
Light changes into Netto

Netto: Where were you?
X: Ne... Netto-kun?
Netto: When I needed you, where were you?
X: I don't...
Netto: You were off and I was being attacked by Wily's robots. Why did you not come and help me.
X: But, I...
Netto: You let the Robot kill me. Why didn't you come and save your closest friend?
X: You are not Netto!
Netto: Took you long enough, but can you fight him?

Netto charges X

X fights Netto

Netto: See, that is the reason...
Netto short circuits into Doc Robot MkV and explodes.

X: Whoever it is that is behind this has somthing they are trying to tell me.

X sees another teleporter and enters it.

X is sent back to Earth. (recognized as GutsMan's Level from MM1)

X fights through the level, and makes it to the end just to see another face of his past... GutsMan.

There is the most part... I can't really think of a good ending story. But the main Idea is that Wily had his brain inserted into GutsMan's body for the future, and that is why he wanted X to suffer is because X is really Rockman. X and WilyGuts fight, X comes out victorious but very wounded. Knowing that X is very wounded Rockman? appears and deals the final blow to X. WilyGuts had the ELF in his Lab. The ELF is activated and starts glowing. With X's last bit of energy he grasps the Z-Saber. The ELF sucks X and the Saber into itself. Rockman? then sets the Skull Station to self-distruct and escapes to the Earth.

Posing as X, Rockman? becomes CopyX from the Zero series.

Well that is the main idea, If anyone with better storytelling talent would like to take it re-write it and post it back on this thread, go ahead, and hey if this is made into a game, you will be in the credits as co-writer.
