this is a navi i made up,in my game he is going to be mr.famous's new navi
tell me what you think,i like how the battle sprite turned out but i think i need to do work on the mugshots,they look ok i guess
7/10 pretty good if its your first
the shading is pretty good if its your first but try and improve on it
the mug looks like a train (charge man but i cant find his mug)
100% scratch is a bonus im guessing he is a fire-type thats cool
cant wait to see more :g-winky: :)
i'm making an attack right now that he uses when hes at low hp
and yeah i have to fix the mugshot
You shouldn't make the background of the mugshot the same color as the navi. It won't look too good in a game.
good point,aany suggestion on what color the backround sould be
Something close to the navi's color, but not the same... I'd check out a color wheel and look for something next to red(not red or yellow)

The shading is far from decent. If you would take the time to look at some EXE sprites and learn how they are shaded. Fill shades like that will never work at making any type of sprite for any game. But it's your first sprite and I assume you wouldn't know any better. Next time, try a different method. Perhaphs have another sprite on your canvas and copy its shading. Mugshots use different shading so learn that too. Hope that was some helpful advice. And about the background color. How about a greenish orange. Just something other than pure red. Paint colors suck. You should use a pallete sheet on your sprites so you could keep track of colors.
If you can't scracht sprites good, then first try to edit some.
Try to edit some megmans and protomans. They may look unorginal, but's remember, there are 2 reasons to sprite:
1. To make them beutifull and original.
2. To train.
You need to do some more 2.

I don't think that it looks good while overlapping the arm.
it not ,if you look closely it has a bit of arm then the dynimite then the rest
heres the new part i added,just need animation in between when they fly off him and when they hit megaman
You don't need to make an sprite of stuff, on megaman. Something like that you add apart, so the user can place them anywhere he wants.
