It's 8-bit, doesn't explain what happens between the classic and X series, and it's been what, 10 years since 8 came out(?). I have doubts about how good it'll be.

This is the biggest thing Blizzard fans have had to look forward to since... Diablo 2...
But, in any case, I'd buy it.

I don't think it's unnecessary, it's about time Blizzard got off its ass and started putting time in other games. (although it doesn't seem like any of them are anything new...)
After all Diablo is an updated version of "Gauntlet" with blood, skills and shiny graphics. Which nothing like WoW, I don't know where that came from.

All video games are unnesessary. Do you wish we didn't have them? No? Then shut up then. By your logic, Starcraft 2 is also unnesessary, and saying that will just piss a HELL of alot of people off.


Diablo =/= WoW. I was honestly expecting it to be announced as a "WoW clone", but it isn't. It's classic Diablo, at least at the moment.
