Like the one in General Megaman Discussion, what is the hardest boss for you in any of the Castlevania games.

~Abreviations~
CV - Castlevania
SQ - Castlevania II ~ Simon's Quest
DC - Castlevania III ~ Dracula's Curse
AkuDen - Akumajou Densetsu (adding because some bosses have different attacks compared to Dracula's Curse)
CVA - Castlevania Adventure
CVBR - Castlevania II ~ Belmont's Revenge
SCV4 - Super Castlevania IV
ROB - Akumajou Dracula X ~ Chi no Rondo
CVBL - Castlevania Bloodlines
X68000 - Akumajou Dracula (for the Sharp X68000, Chronicles can use this too)
CVDX - Castlevania ~ Dracula X
SotN - Castlevania ~ Symphony of the Night
CVL - Castlevania Legends
C64 - Castlevania 64
LOD - Castlevania Legacy of Darkness
CotM - Castlevania ~ Circle of the Moon
HOD - Castlevania ~ Harmony of Dissonance
AOS - Castlevania ~ Aria of Sorrow
DOS - Castlevania ~ Dawn of Sorrow
POR - Castlevania ~ Portrait of Ruin
LOI - Castlevania ~ Lament of Innocence
COD - Castlevania ~ Curse of Darkness
HC - Haunted Castle (Arcade game)
DXC - Dracula X Chronicles (Remake only)

Note for Mods: If I'm forgetting a game, put it in there.

CV - Frankenstein
SQ - ...none of the three are take hard.
CVA - Stage 3 boss only because I never got to Dracula, so that is
DC - Doppelganger
AkuDen - Double-headed Dragon
CVBR - Grand Serpent
SCV4 - Death
ROB - Dogether
CVBL - Columns sub-boss
X68000 - Skeleton Dragon
CVDX - Dracula (2nd fight)1
SotN - Garamoth
CVL - Executioner
C64 - Behemoth
CotM - Don't remember how I did on these bosses but I think I had trouble with the Dragon Zombies
HOD - I think it was the Shadow
AOS - Death
LOI - Death
COD - Issac (Final time) especially because after that you fight Death, when I say after I mean after. After you kill Issac, there is a cutscene, and then you fight Death.

Notes
1: I can beat his first form without getting hit, his second one has an attack I can't dodge.

To be honest, I've only played Dawn of Sorrow. The hardest boss was, in my opinion, a tie between Aguni and Abaddon. Abaddon (or is it Abadonn?) was a bitch to get his pattern down, but once you got that, you're pretty much set. Also, Dead Pirate Soul, a couple of Magic Attack Ups (can't remember if it was CON or MIN)+Aguni Soul practically own him.

Aguni himself wasn't hard per sé, but he IS the boss that hits me the most. I hate him.

Also, Dmitrii and the Crow Guy were just plain easy.

CVBL - I didn't get too far in the game(I got stuck in the munitions factory), but the hardest boss of those I fought was the one in stage 1(armour battler or something). It's easy at first, but as it gains more and more speed, it's harder to hit without you getting hit yourself.

SotN - People always say that Galamoth is the toughest boss, but for some reason, I had more trouble with Beelzebub. Of course, he started being a pushover once you got equipment that made poison heal you, but Galamoth's fight got much easier once you got lighting resistance too, so...

AOS - Easily Death. The amount of damage he does to you is impressive, and the fact that he has lots of HP and his attacks are fairly hard to dodge make things even worse.

DOS - Hmm... I'm not sure whether to pick Gergoth, Paranoia, Abaddon or Death here. Gergoth utterly crushed me the first few times I met him, but after a few (dozen?) battles I had his pattern down so well that I can now fight him without getting hit, and I can assure you I am horrible at this game. Same counts for Paranoia. Death could be a pain because his first form could trap you with his double slash if you weren't careful, and you needed pretty good timing to avoid the attacks of the second. Abaddon is... Hard to describe. At some times, he's a pushover, while at others, he kills me within seconds. I suppose they're all equally hard in their own way.

POR - Tough one. Since I utterly fail at this game, most bosses were hard for me. I guess I'll have to pick between Death whose ultimate attack is total hax, True Dracula, who, while probably not too bad on his own, can get a REAL annoyance after the fight against the D-Duo and the vampire sisters whose ultimate attack ALSO was total hax and because you had to keep Charlotte from getting hit. The room in the hidden maze with the two Creatures is probably the hardest moment in the game, but I'm not sure if it qualifies as a boss, despite you previously having fought it as one.
Dullahan is also fairly irritating due to the difficulty curve on the game making a sudden leap when you meet him, once you are used to the fairly forgiving start of the game, but objectively seeing he's not really that hard.

SotN - People always say that Galamoth is the toughest boss, but for some reason, I had more trouble with Beelzebub. Of course, he started being a pushover once you got equipment that made poison heal you, but Galamoth's fight got much easier once you got lighting resistance too, so...THe only reason I put him as hard is because every other boss is easy, even Dracula.

Galamoth is easy. I defeated him with Richter! (only once, after dying countless times...)

I only completed 3 games, so...
SotN - Galamoth
CVA - 3rd boss
AoS - Death (That scythe is deadly...)

I just say one name: Death...yep death, in every game he´s in, he´s the hardest

Castlevania - Frankestein. Still haven't passed him.
Castlevania 3 - Death. I've passed him, but only once, after countless tries.
Castlevania 4 - Slogra gives me a lot of trouble, for some reason.
Symphony of the Night - Galamoth, obviously.
Harmony of Dissonance - XD, to be honest, I never really fought many of the bosses. I just kinda cheaped out and used the Ice + BIble combination, particularly with them up against a wall, and they were toast pretty fast.
Aria of Sorrow - Death, by far.
Dawn of Sorrow - Death
Portrait of Ruin - No real 'hard' bosses, to me.

Uhm, seeing how I forgot most of Clownman's abbreviations and I forgot to quote his post to help me out, here's my list:

CV: Death. He was harder than both of Dracula's forms put together. Damn randomly appearing scythes. On top of that, you have to watch out for his HUGE FAT ASS when he decides to ram into you.

CV2: Despite how laughable this game's boss battles were, I'm saying Death because he's the only one that requires you to move every now and then.

CV4: I don't remember this game being too hard boss-wise. Death seems to be the one standing out though.

Bloodlines: Pathetic as it sounds, I felt the old man face vase miniboss was the hardest. ;_;

SotN: Hmmm...I'd say either Beelzebub for the fact it's harder to reach his head to hit him, or Galamoth when you don't have lightning immunities...

CotM: Dracula-Final Form(Although the Dragon Zombies was the worst gameplay-wise because it was waaaaay too laggy.)

AoS: Death, Though Julius is difficult without weapons.

DoS: Abaddon until you memorize his patterns and use the appropriate souls.

PoR: This game had hard bosses? Oh well, I say True Dracula because there's no way to beat him in Level 1 cap mode where every attack does 1 damage.

CoD: Death; Have you ever tried stealing his item? You literally only have a split second window to get the chance to steal it, and that's right after a huge fucking explosion attack. Also holy crap I just realized Final Dracula in this is the same as in PoR. ._.

LoI: I didn't play much of this, so I say Medusa. :/

I just say one name: Death...yep death, in every game he´s in, he´s the hardestIt's funny, I beat Death in Lament of Innocence on the first try, other bosses took a couple times, but the final boss was easy. Walter was a bigger pain in the ass.

CV - Death. I've yet to beat him.
SQ - Can't stand this game long enough to even get to a boss... ¬_¬;
DC - Triple Threat Bosses - Having to fight three bosses at once is a right.. pain. XD
CVA - MOLES!.. or Dracula. Dracula's also nasty.
SCV4 - Death. Easily.
ROB - Can't remember. They all seemed easy in this game. Perhapes Shaft's Ghost.
CVBL - Oh.. erm.. well.. it's clearly the water magician. (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xjsONQMJKCc) Clearly.
Chronicles - The She-Wolf.
CVDX - .. you guys have seen my youtube video right? I still haven't beaten Dracula.
CVL - Dracula. Is a total. Pain. As usual.
CotM - I'm stuck at the Goat-Headed boss. I think I've somehow managed to skip part of the game because I've yet to fight either the iron golem or the necromancer. Whoops?
AOS - Death.
DOS - Either Gergoth or Menace.
POR - The sisters.

CVDX - .. you guys have seen my youtube video right? I still haven't beaten Dracula. Here's some advice Ace, play the waiting game. Stay on the first 2 pillars and only attack when he is on one of the four pillars you see. Also have the axe sub-weapon as the arc would be able to hit him. I'll show you a diagram later.

Not a diagram but you'll get what I'm trying to say.

I've only played SoTN. But the hardest boss in that game was that 20 foot tall thing. I couldn't beat him. So I said screw it and cheated.:D

Huh. You guys weren't kidding about epic theme music.

DragonZero

Hm... I'd have to say that Galamoth from Symphony is the Hardest if you don't have that Beryl circlet... Though the Granfaloon was also insane, not to mention the cause of several Nights worth of bad dreams.

I seem to remember Circle to be just a hard Game in general: the Dragon Zombies were tough, and so was Camilla if I remember correctly. Not just that, but I still haven't beaten Dracula's Final Form of Nightmarish Epic Win. (Though I think I liked his Final Form in CoD a bit more.) I found Death to be a lot easier in Circle, though.

In LoI I remember Joachim was really tough the first few times, and he just cut me right up with those awesome floating Swords of his. I seem to remember having some trouble with the Forgotten One as well, and Death in this Game was just insane.

For Curse of Darkness, I was pretty impressed with Dracula, to be honest. He's really powerful, and when you fight him for the first time, or in Boss Rush, he presents a good challenge... Not to mention his Final Form will probably go down in History as the most awesome Final Boss Form EVAR.
*Ahem*
I also found the "Nucleus" thing to be really tough. What with how it can transform into Lava and morph its Arm into a Blade... The Dullahan was also a really tough fight with those Soul Attacks (The Screen-Beam, the Big Sword... the NUKE...).

In my opinion, the final boss of AoS was the hardest. I think its name was Chaos?

Blackhook

Well, his first form is Easy, but the second form is just CHEAP!

Huh. You guys weren't kidding about epic theme music. Well turp, play DOS Julius mode, final boss is Soma, with the exact same theme just twice as good quality, multiplying its epicness. Also his intro pose is alike, however, instead, Soma drinks blood from a glass, throws it at you, and hovers up.

BTW:
DOS: OMGUALLSUXLOLZ Seriously. Gergoth was so easy for me. And death too!
Menace was quite easy, even without the final rank of ANY weapon. The only hardship in menace is his infinite life and his huge feet. Oh, and those spawns. (Which, whenever I saw him, made me say "KILL IT! KILL IT BEFORE IT SPAWNS!" Hence my caption in the brawl caption contest, as those small spawns remind me of the chimaera in new pork city.)
Now, Death was easy. He had the exact same pattern all along. I only died once against him in easy and once in hard, on the first phase in easy mode (forgot to heal myself before the fight, and didn't have any potions or food.), and be surprised, I didn't lose to his second phase. I killed it before it was able to summon those HUGE skulls that do HUGE damage. Now on hard mode, he used it quickly enough to win.

I deffinetly choose Abbadon. it took me a few dozen times to finnaly get him into magic seal state. However I was too slow, and therefore needed 2 more dozen times untill that sunnuva died.

AOS: Don't remember, I remember the huge skull being hard, as I had no souls or weapons against him. He pwninated my ass, and I forgot to save before him, so it took me a few good/bad times against him. Yup.

CV Belmonts revenge (CVAII): The cloud thing guy mutation dude-whateverheis.

No matter what the Castlevania game, the hardest boss will always and shall always be Death. Drac... well... the only game I found him hard was Castlevania: Circle of the Moon.

This is, of course, excluding SotN? :P
Symphony's Death was a pushover, with really anything at the appropriate level.

And the fact that you get the Alucard Shield beforehand makes him even easier with the Shield Rod. >_>

EDIT: I cannot type up a list at the moment, but I shall try and do so later.

Eh, I played SoTN various ways, including the Naked Way and Bosses Only.

Zombiechao
02-05-08, 23:22
Well i've only played 2.
Dos: None of them are difficult, you know why? Glitches ahoy! Over the limit souls make things so easy but not as easy as the werewolf soul exploit. Hold down r = pwn. Another great spammable soul. Mesusa head. R+down kick = rock!!! Even if you don't spam. The enemies are so pathetic that by the time you've reached the boss you have used zero pots. Zero pots. And finally if you have run out of your 9 high pots and 9 low pots you can still keep on fighting with the incredible cheap ghoul soul.

Por: Similar problems, except you can't do as many game breaking glitches.
BTW: Has anyone else got over max percentage on the side mode (with alucard and co).
