Anyone here remember Space Goofs, Or even the point 'n' click adventure game Stupid Invaders? The TV series aired on Fox Kids 1997-2000 and went more or less un-noticed, but was a great laugh. Anyway, the Studio Xilam has released a new series in France, but the anmation was done in English first so the series is bound to show up over here eventally (all it needs is a distibutor) and boy, does it look good.
Here's the official website:

Check out the videos in the goodies section, which includes the new intro (a re-make of the old series' one, with the Iggy Pop music intact) and lods of line tests. Judging from what I saw here the animation has improved ten fold! At last some proper acting in a TV cartoon for the first time in ages!
The only obmission I can see from the original series is the two-headed character Stereo, who was the least intersting character anyway. They forget to chnage the first line of the theme tune, however: "Five little monsters were riding through space..". Oops.
Also, there's a character called "Manga Panda" in it. You can bet his animation will be dilibratly lazy and static with a flapping three-frame mouth and constant OTT reactions. HAW.
