Yeah, I learned that on the RPM board. It said the DASH was in 8XXX. Earth flooding takes a long time to do, so it's possible that it's 8XXX.

It says that on the timeline, and you're right. Hikari loosely translates into Right, or Light, and it's more than coincidence that it's in 20XX. I need to get a paper out. It has all these connections I've learned about the MegaMan series.

Mega Man X: Command Mission is set in 22xx, which means the Zero series would actually take place sometime after that, 23xx at the earliest. We don't actually know exactly when Zero, ZX, or Legends/Dash take place.

Dude, X7-CM is an alternate story line, cuz' at the end of X6, Zero seals himself to get rid of the Mavirick Virus that Wily implanted in him. That's also the reason that Zero has that different body in the Zero series. DASH stands for Diggouters Adventure Set in Halycon days. In Egypt, Halycon Days are set in the year 8XXX. I have 30 pages of these connections. It's hard to disprove me!

X7-CM is not an alternate timeline. Zero doesn't seal himself away immediately after the events of X6, that was a flashforward. That actually happens after the Elf Wars, which was the end of the Maverick Wars (and thus after the events of CM).

Methinks the "X^X" is to represent a very unknown period of time. For simplicity's sake though, since Zero was asleep for roughly a hundred years towards the end of the Maverick Wars, I'm gonna throw in a date and say that the MMZ series is around 30XX.

It's not by any means official but it looks better than "X^X."

Both the EXE and Classic series follow the same Earth history up to sometime 19XX. When in one world, robotics began to develop, and in the other the internet. Classic speaks of Thomas Right/Light as the greatest mind of his time. Whereas EXE speaks of Tadashi Hikari. And then there's Dr. Wily. According to classic, he was shunned for his odd practices and began to think of revenge against the man he eternally stood in the shadows of. According to EXE, he left the lab after his country favored network over robotics, and then went to another country to create weapons of war, whilst plotting his revenge on society.

Classic told us of Earth history starting in 197XX BC, with Ra Moon's arrival, then proceeded to use our Earth, leading up to 19XX where robotics suddenly jumpstarted and into 200X and 20XX. Then a century passes for the events of RmX, 21XX. The Maverick Wars eventually lead into 22XX and beyond. And beyond, the war is ended, Neo Arcadia is created, Elf Wars begins and ends, and then Zero seals himself for a century. RMZ begins. 100 years after the Elf Wars, which was already an unknown amount of time after Command Mission. So, century, millennia, unknown. (Though I can give exact minutes, hours and days for certain RMZ events)

After RMZ, centuries pass, and Rockman ZX begins. Then Elder System is created, and Heaven is created at some time unknown after ZX to combat Elder System. Unknown time after, Master begins to live on Heaven and lives there for roughly 3000 years. And then the system fights within itself and Master dies. Sera and Trigger clash on Terra, Yuna seals them. Then, another unknown amount of time passes. And the battle of Heaven that was fought on Terra between mother units and Irregular Hunter Rockman Trigger falls into mythology. It is then that Barrel uncovers Trigger as a baby 14 years before RmDASH begins.

The centuries for anything beyond Command Mission ARE UNCERTAIN.

EXE goes it's seperate way, telling of 19XX, 200X and 20XX. Leading into the upcoming "Rebirth of Rockman" which is centuries after EXE.

Character clearly appearing in the future of the other dimension appear here, such as Barrel and Colonel and Iris, and many more. It's as alternate as alternate can get. Heck, if they weren't, we'd have 2 versions of the same character AT ONCE. Something tells me Bass wouldn't like his cyberworld equivalent and he would swiftly get himself datatised to combat this fellow.

Yeah it makes sense.

Now that "Mega Man ZX" has been released, we have a pretty good idea of when it actually takes place. It is hinted at several times during the game that Prairie, the leader of the Guardians, is actually Alouette, Ciel's "sister," from the "Mega Man Zero" series. Prairie mentions that her sister was a scientist and was killed while doing research in the ruins in the Outlands. If she is indeed Alouette, this would place the ZX series about 15-20 years after the Zero series, so most likely sometime still within the 24th century (2300s).

This is still possible because, if you notice, the soldiers that work with Ciel are very similar to the soldiers that work for the Guardians and, additionally, the humanoid people appear very much the same in the Zero series. While this is never really addressed, perhaps the concept of "humanoids" was already addressed by the time period of the Zero series, which would mean that the so-called "truce" that was supposed to have been created existed before the events of "Zero," or sometime in the late-2200s or very early-2300s.

If you recall, Capcom has made the mistake of saying that "centuries" have passed before (in "Mega Man X5") and said that the year was still 21XX...So this explanation is still very plausible.:g-think:
