Wow, really? Man... people can find all the little pieces of lazyness left by capcom nowadays...
The songs don't realy sound the same at all. I have those songs and they are pretty different.

Most the time the re-use of music is for nostalgia perposes. How-ever, the two songs you mentioned hardly sound alike apart from intruments.
I did have a list of all the music that was re-used in Megaman games... I have no idea where its gone though.

Notice how lots of Z4's bosses were redone from X5 too?

For four bosses within Rockman Zero 4, there's similairities to bosses from X5 AND X6. The only difference is that all those from X5 were already mythological beasts and the X6 ones had their mythological equivalent used. Aside from that, completely different attack patterns and two even had a different elements.
Furthermore there's even X1, X2 and X3 bosses in ZERO4. Random Bandom, Carnage Force and Hell the Giant. Combined with the appearence of Ragnarok in reference to both Final Weapon and Eurasia, not to mention the existance of Area Zero; the entire game was X-series fanservice.
Do you have the lyrics to the two songs?

The fanservice didn't do enough for me to like this series much though...

there are only lyrics in zero 4.. japanese version..
same in zxa.. the rock on sequence had music in the jap version...
I'm guessing capcom did that sort of like a tribute, probably because X5 was supposed to be the end of the X series, and the start of the Zero series.
