Who believes in ghosts, and what have your ghost encounters been?

Here are some of mine.

The most recent was last saturday night.:
I was just in my house on my computer and i heard some random creaking noises. I just put it off though. I did kinda feel something though, since I am very spiritual and such. Than, I though someone had opened the door to my gym, which is the first floor, but we use it as a basement(i'll explain that in more detail if anyone needs it). So I went down and the TV was on, which nobody had ever touched and nobody was there. I shut the TV off and went upstairs. Than I went up to our third floor where all the bedrooms are and took a shower in my room. When I came out I heard more noises, kinda like someone was on my bed, and I really felt something. I than walked downstairs to my second floor which is the main floor and I heard more walking type noises, and my dog started barking at nothing. I than said "If you are a ghost or spirit, please leave" About one second after I heard our a noise like our gym door was closing and the presence left.

more stories!!

When I was really young, I hated going into our guest bedroom, even when it was light out. I felt like someone had died in there. I asked my parents, and sure enough, the old owner of the house passed away in that room. So I just never went into that room since I started feeling the presence until about 2-3 months ago when I had my Kung Fu teacher who is VERY spiritual come in and he said there was a small presence, but nothing menacing. He made it leave though.

The father of a friend from my old school died from cancer, and when I was at the friends bat-mitzvah(the jewish religions coming of age), the whole night I felt like her father was there, and I never, ever cry, and when they were doing one of the songs, I wasn't feeling sad or anything I just let out like 2 tears.

My kung fu teacher and I were metitating one day and he told me to think of God. I asked him how and he said just to think of white light surrounding me. I did, and after about a minute or so, I just started smiling. I felt as though someone was embracing me and smiling at me, so I started smiling.

My aunt passed away from cancer about 2 years ago or something and I went to her funeral in New York. When we got back to Los Angeles, that night, I prayed for her safety in the next life and that night I had a dream that she came to my room and hugged me and said goodbye for the last time.

One of my most scary ones:
My cousin was 10 years old and he died from a cerebral hemorrhage. Well, we went to go pick up my Aunt from the hospital after she visted her daughter whose son it was that passed away and when she got in the car she was crying and my mom, her sister, was crying, and I didn't realy know the boy, but I was sad too. Well I felt like someone came in the car with my aunt, and about half way through the car ride I started shaking like crazy, and I couldn't talk, I actually could not utter a word. And I just started staring at my aunts shoulder, and it was like the boy was sitting on her shoulder, crying with her.

Those are all the ones I can remember for now, but I may have more later.

Woah. Well, actually, I have one.

Now, this one's still in the works, but here goes.

My friends and I sometimes go walking in the Forest behind our School (Note: This is my NEW School). Not too out of the ordinary, right? Well, one of my friends kept on insisting that she spread out from us by herself. I even saw her going in there by herself a few times.

Now, normally this wouldn't be a problem, however, we've found sufficient evidence to claim that some kind of Savage Person lives there: several Shelters, and a Dismembered Rabbit.

So, I go in after her one time and she insists that I leave. I refuse, and she gets more serious.

She says she sees people. Dead people. How they died, and what they look like afterwards. She sees them all in a Purple, Cloudy Bubble. They talk to her, and to each other.

She says she can feel a lot of presences like that in the Forest there. She hears them all crying and screaming in fear, pain, and confusion. I've tried to do what I can to help, but I can't hear them. I can sorta feel when they're around, but I can't see them, or touch them, or anything. Now, I'm pretty Spiritual and Godly. I have a good knowledge of the Occult, too, so I've been trying to act as a kind of Guardian figure.

That's about it.

Well, I just hope that none of them are Malevolent.

I'd hate to have to fend off a Phantom, or something.

Then again, that would look pretty cool on my Resume.

Well, there was this wierd dream I had, but I don't know if this counts.

I was readin some books, staying up late,(I was reading my books without my light on, for some reason) and all of a sudden, my bedroom dorr just creaks open, inch by inch.I saw a girl standing in my doorway, the ring or grudge type of girl. I jumped out of bed, and...she raised her face.I woke up after that.

I don't know if this was a ghost, or just my mind playing tricks on me. T'is a bit long, but whatever.

My cousin, André, was one of the funniest people I've known, to this day. He was quite the energetic lad, and he, my brother, sister and I played together, on a somewhat regular basis. He was also my first multi-cultural friend/encounter, that I remember. :P
He reached the age of 15 relatively fast, and at the time, I was around 7. I always thought he'd be a comedian when he grew up, or at least, that's what I remember.

One fateful night, on Christmas Eve, André committed suicide. He laid down on the railroad tracks one night, for a reason unbeknown to me, and as the train ran him over, everything halted.

Needless to say, he's dead, and we all mourned. I think it was the only family death that I was really moved by. The others paled in comparison, or I hadn't known them like him. In any case, we came to accept his loss, and move on.

I thought André had gone from us, until this one day when I was 10, and my father was helping me move stuff from the basement to my room, when he told me my laundry was done. I was going to go get it, but I needed to use the facilities first, and so I did. When I entered my room, there was a older teenager, dressed in blue jeans and a white undershirt, with brown skin showing through, bent over, facing my bed (away from me) and placing a basket of clothes on my bed. I turned to get a snack from downstairs, thinking it was a friend of my dad, or maybe just my father's own back. When I returned upstairs, the figure was gone, the basket still there. At that moment, I remember thanking my dad for his help, via yelling down the stairwell. Needless to say, he was intrigued as to why I thanked him, and I explained to him that he/his friend helped bringing up my laundry.

He replied that he was always downstairs, and never phoned anyone. The doors remained locked, windows shut. I didn't think much of it until later, and I disregarded the moment as my father simply lying. If you're wondering, it was around 11:00 am, and sunlight was pouring in from the window.

The second time I 'sensed' André, was when I got my pet cat Trevor, in 2002-2003. I was sitting behind the front screen door to my house, with Trevor in my lap, just writing for a game I was planning, when I heard someone whisper my name. I stood up, looking for the source, but I could never find it. There was no one outside, no one else inside, and it was too early for most pranksters to be up and awake.

I believe both 'encounters' were of him, but I haven't heard from him since. Maybe he moved on, maybe he's still here, looking after my family and his.

I still kind of miss him whenever I think back, but it wasn't anything creepy or evil, more like... protective, or almost guardian-like. Though, he would be 8 years older than me, and it would make sense.

I've had something similar:

When I was young, I use to pretend I have imaginary friends. This is mainly due to me not being able to get along with anyone else.

they would often talk to me, but from time to time I can actually "hear" them. Now sometimes it's just random gibberish, but there have been times where it has saved my life.

One of the voices, a girl, told me to watch out when I was playing on the sidewalk. I jumped back and sure enough a car came crashing into the sidewalk and a nearby wall, going right past where I was playing. Now it could have been anyone right? But there was no one else around. In addition(back then it was a small community, I knew everyone who lived there) the voice was one I had never heard before).

The voices would always be distinct and I would always hear them clear. When I got lost in the city, the voices managed to lead me straight to a friend of my dad's.

However they're gone now. I kinda miss them. The last thing I remember was a conversation between two of them, saying how I've grown up and finally "Goodbye".

wow, that i really amazing. It is possible that it is your subcouncious soul helping you, since I believe that the soul knows all.

The soul knows all, and learning to communicate with your own soul will lead you to success in life. My kung fu teacher is actually able to leave his body while sleeping and control his dreams fully.

More stories.

not that much a ghost story, but paranormal one.
My kung fu teacher is orthodox jewish(I am conservative jewish), and he was speaking to his rabbi, his rabbi told him this story: The rabbi was having dinner with a very spiritual person who believed in the soul leaving the body and teleportation and such, and the person actually meditated for a few minutes and fully disappeared for about 5 or so seconds only to return and say that he had teleported to a dinner table in the Middle East or something of the sort.

I should have more soon also!

Great stories everyone!!!
