I got this game the other day because it looked pretty interesting......... Throughout the game you have to fabricate things to progress, in a pixel drawing type manner. You create the main character, his/her weapons, platforms to progress in the game, you name it. It's a very different concept but so far it's pretty cool. If I've got enough time I'll copy my template and show you how they set up the character creation.

Discuss.

I haven't gotten it myself, I plan to though.

I spent my money on something else. *Hugs Worms open Warfare 2.*

I have both. *Laughs* I'm still working on the puzzle mode, but I'm pretty good. I missed good ol Worms, I haven't played a worm game in like 10 years. XD

You really should put sarcasm tags on that, someone might think you can actually beat me. :P

I can, just because you beat me a MK:DS means NOTHING!

Awww, is poor little baby mad that I schooled him in a game I never touched since I got and beat it when it first came out? (BTW if you really want to prove youself, then I challenge you to a worms fight, you can choose whatever you want in it, just PM me)

Yeah, tomorrow maybe. After I go against Jess in CR.

CR? The abbreviation sounds familiar but I can't put my finger on it. >_>

How did a thread meant for Drawn to Life discussion turned into a 'I can beat you in 'X' game, lolz' thread? After ONE post nonetheless!

Anyways, about Drawn to Life. I have it, but havent played it yet. Came as far as the 'Draw your character' screen.
What I noticed, is that the more better and picky you are about graphics, the harder this is. It is pretty hard to draw the character exactly how you want, because pixel-by-pixel movements can't be made.
Still, this seems more original then most games you see today, so I think I might better pick it up again soon.

@Rags: Correction USED to have it. I got bored with it because it played the same as the GC version, except that GC had better storyline. Besides there are too many disconnectors, and not enough friends who own this game.

@Boilman: So true. This tends to be the case when I start talking about Wifi DS games when Rags is around. XD

I told you that you two are easily confoozable.
It doesn't help that your real name is "Jason" either.

I've actually looked into "drawn to life," but the way people review it makes it sound like stupid, repetitive mini-games.

That and I'm saving money. For MMZXA. And Brawl. >_>

It isn't very good, the drawing thing is gimmicky and most of it is a platformer.
Where they make it sound like you design your own tanks, its pretty much colouring in and drawing inside boxes. And it really doesn't matter what you draw.

First of all, don't spam up this thread with stupid chat talk. Next time someone does, they get a warning.

Second, I agree with dualR. :P Now I haven't actually played the game, but that's because I don't really want to buy it... for the reasons he mentioned. I perked up when I heard about a game that let's you draw your own character into it, but further details about it killed some enthusiasm. And it is, just a basic platformer. The game will probably keep you entertained, but I wouldn't play it with really high expectations.

But, this is a pretty interesting original IP from THQ. Just looking at their track records on previous licenses and IPs, I can say that this one is more interesting. (And keep in mind that their games ARE aimed at a younger crowd). I'd like to see a sequel to this game that has more depth in gameplay, and makes your drawings more important.

Yeah sorry, 'bout that. ^^; As for the gameplay, yeah it's pretty kiddy. Personally I like to design stuff, even though it isn't useful right now. >_> I hope they make a better sequel as well.

turpinator

Well I effectively drew my turpinator character as the hero of the game, so I don't see why not. (funny thing is my character looks more like a villain than a hero so it basically looks like a villian fighting other of his kin while doing the levels XD)
