View Full Version : Stupid Stuff in Transformers Cybertron

I love Transformers Cybertron, but I noticed a few stupid things after watching a few of the episodes near the end. The first stupid I noticed was in the episode where Starscream goes all giant and beats up on Galvatron. Throughout the fight, Starscream sported a big yellow aura.*cough*Dragon Ball Z ripoff*cough*. Another stupid thing I noticed involved Thunderblast(the female Decepticon with the huge-ass missle launcher). When she uses Cyber Key Power and the missle pops up, she shoots a laser out of the missle! It makes me wonder if the directors were so strapped fo ideas they had to steal some, and then they didn't realize what the hell they had just made.
First of all, Cybertron sucks to begin with. Period. Next, the aura thingis hardly a rip off of DBZ since it's auniversal leemtn that a lot of shows use to demonstrate the presence of power. Also, Thunderblast's Cyber KEy power does activate a lazer and not a missile launcher, that's merely you interpretating the design as a rocket.
And to say that Transformers is stealing ideas, from shows that came out AFTER it, is pure stupidity (In other words, all Transformers series are really only revamping the G1/G2 stories, the ideas have were already there.

Actually, it does activate a missle launcher on the TOY. I guess the animators decided to stray from the toy's design. And when I said they were ripping off ideas, I meant Transformers Cybertron, not Transformers in general.
The toys and the characters in the show always differ for any series, so why bring it up at all unless you're about to complain about every toy ever made?
Transformers Cybertron didn't rip off anything (except maybe Transformers G1). You're making it seem like DBZ was the first to use auras and that Transformers was the only show to use the same idea, when it's not. And like I said before, Transformers can't copy something if it came before it, if anything, DBZ copied the Transformers line.

Zyros's mad :O.
Well, I'd have to agree with you.
We can't count the toys, they're always different.
It's like megaman toys, I had some MegamanX toys, and guess what?
Ultimate armor was purple and Fourth armor was Silver & blue.
I'm not mad, but comparing Transformers to DBZ is so frustrating.

Riiight...
Okay okay, I stop. That was a joke.
But yeah... Comparing Transformers & DB is pretty stupid.
Anyways, you should let this topic die now, I don't wanna see a war.
Besides, Transformers never gave a shit about logic to begin with. Complaning now is pretty pointless.

Yeah, it's like science fantasy. There are some physics involved, but people were mostly interested with the flash as kids, not the substance.

I didn't mean to say Transformers was ripping off Dragon Ball, I meant to say that they were *borrowing* ideas from Dragon Ball. Example: When Starscream turns huge. Piccolo did this in an episode near the end of the original Dragon Ball. They're just taking old ideas and putting them in a new context.

Yeah, and huges are NEVER, EVER used anywhere
I guess Super Mario Brothers'd be copying DBZ with the "growing large" thing too, huh? There's also the four thousand other animes/video games which do that, so I guess all of them ripped-off DBZ?
Kay'. For comparing Transformers to DBZ, you get shot. *Shoots RDX*
Secondly, DBZ is about alien monkey-tards who get spikier hair and furrier and what ever the hell they do that involves hair, to get more power. Transformers is about fucking robots.
And Cybertron/all of the other spin-offs of G1/G2 besides Beast Wars, sucks.
I would rant more, but it would end up filling the page.
@Loki: Well, I myself liked the R.I.D. series, but only because it had the best version of Ultra Magnus since G1 and because it had the best Nemesis for Prime (Scourge).
@RDX: Do you understand the fact that Transformers came before DBZ? Hopefully you do so you'll shut about how youu think Transformers stole from DBZ.

Woah! DragonBall ripped off the 'Huge giant' idea from The Little mermaid :O (http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/0/02/320px-Giant_ursula.jpg)!
That was as Cobalt would say sarcasm (http://www.sprites-inc.co.uk/forum/images/sarcasm.jpg)
*I'm sorry, I really felt like using it too, it's soo hilarious x_x.
@Ryu: You win at life. I hope you realize that. XD
@Jess: Yeah, the R.I.D. series was OK. I liked those designs. :S

@Jess: Yeah, the R.I.D. series was OK. I liked those designs. :SNot to go off topic, but Scourge is probably the coolest Nemesis Prime's ever had.
I'd also like to point out, that in order for Transformers to have copied the DBZ series style of increasing power, their hair would have to have grown as well.

@Loki:Haha, thanks for that post Loki
@RockmanDX3: Oh well, I want a reply D8.
They have hair? Not at all, if it grew though, then you can say they copied DBZ.

Did you not see that link? >.>;
And if Transformers had hair, I think I'd be mentally raped.
Yeah, I did, I still wanted to comment though on the subject at hand.

But if you guys ever talk about the 'zomg!hugebigasstransformation' again...
I'll use the little mermaid against you =D

Now let's get back on topic.

How nice....
Anyways, back on topic.
Just CLOSE this thread now :O.
We're done talking.
No wait, in facts, I want RockmanDX3 to answer my sarcastic post :O.
Unless of course you want to take about the illogical aspects of Transformers for a good laugh or two.

Haha, well you go first then.
Megatron transforms into a gun 1/100ths of his size, Soundwave fits 7000000 tapes in himself etc. etc.
RyuReiatsu
02-10-07, 01:33
I DISAGREE THERE!
Soundwave fits 70000001 tapes in himself!
And Optimus Prime can't shoot water while in truck form.
Ok, well I was watching an episode of Transformers that answer the question "Where the fuck does Optimus' trailer go when he transforms?"
Lnog story short, at one point in the episode you see Prime transform from a front view. Upon this, if you watch his trailer is starts to back up and raise of the ground, getting smaller and smaller, eventually, the trailer's in the sky and it simply disappears withw warning.
There you go, mystery solved. XD
Also, How does astrotrain, turn into a tran big enough to hold every one (you see them run in the train and the ceiling almsot scraps their head). Later on, the train can hold a fully formed Devastator (who's about three times bigger than a normal Decepticano). Explain!
Off:Haha! Sorry 'bout the traumatizing (spelling?) image, guys (and girl). It was my natural instict!:p
On: Well, Tydal Wave is big! Why, I ask. Why?
RyuReiatsu

Actually, it was the producers of Transformers who were drugged and did that.
In facts, the whole staff was high and they started making up stupid 'so-called funny things' as they danced in their offices.
Here's one.
In the Transformers Armada show, Tidal Wave is considered to be a really big robot. However, in the game, he's a fucking carrier ship whose eye is the size of Optimus (his level is actually really fun since you're a transformers exploring a transformer). Explain.
The producers were EVEN more drugged! :D
I have no other question.
Somehow... I really don't believe that statement.
RyuReiatsu
02-10-07, 03:58
And I do believe it.
