I recently Stumbled Upon this
http://www.shigabooks.com/strips/fleep/scroll.html
(Stumble Upon is a browser toolbar, google it.)

Now the comic is quite long, but it is quite interesting, if a little confusing.
Alright, it confused me a lot.

I got some of it, but someone smarter please explain what the hell happened?

Oh and of course, to not spoil it for people who want to read it, please put the explanation for lil ol me in spoiler tags.

Thanks.

Well, it seems the guy is trapped in the Russian Embassy of Simbia. He eventually discovers that he is not only he main cause of his predicament but also that a voice he heard from the phone booth next to his is his wife, or at least that's what he expeculates.

You have just also made me confused. As maths + spriting + reading this comic + many other stuff = Brain Dead.

And the explanation made me even more Brain Dead. >.<

The comic is really quite simple, but I guess MGS made me this way.

I'm not really intelligent, so I can only assume some things...
I think the point behind it is that he did everything he could to get out, spent a lot of time on that, but when he found out that his wife was dead and that he was the cause behind his sitaution(he ma only have imagined that one, though), he stopped his efforts and, in fact, used a nonexistant person as an excuse to have his friends let him die.

I believe that this story was made to show what the will to life means, and what the lack thereof can cause.

Fun fact: I can read Russian. What is written there is likely translated with Babelfish, as it makes no sense sentance-wise.

Terry, you cannot base yourself on what is believed to be happening, but on what really is happening.

What. The. Fuck. Do. You. Mean?

You must like screwing with my brains... >.<

well, there are many things the main character believes is happening, but through all of that there are several clues as to what's really happening, confusing concept actually.

Stop messing with my brain! >o<

Well, have even tried to give it some thought?

I thought it was pretty clear what happened.

The first scene with Jimmy walking into the phone booth takes place several years before the rest of it. Some time after that, Jenny was killed in a joint American-Russian air raid, which led Jimmy to become a terrorist. He was in a phone booth at the Russian Embassy in Simbia when it got bombed. The Embassy collapsed, causing the phone booth to be buried in concrete, and Jimmy hit his head and was knocked out. When he came to, he had amnesia and didn't remember anything after he walked into that phone booth years ago.

He worked so hard to survive so he could see Jenny again, but when he realized Jenny's dead and that he's a terrorist, he decided he has nothing left to live for. Even if he was rescued, he'd just face life imprisonment or execution anyway. So, he decided his only option is to attempt redemption, and sacrificed himself to save the woman trapped in the nearby phone booth.

At the end, he either starts hallucinating Jenny's voice as he suffocates, or just hears someone who sounds like her.

Now that was way clearer.

Ah, that explains it, I was trying to figure out what
The first strip meant, then I re read it and realised he hit his head and got amnesia.
Thanks for explaining it like that, it makes sense.

And Inu, I never thought the person in the next booth was supposed to be his wife, remember he got called and she was speaking in Simian/Russian, Wanderer's explanation makes the most sense, I was just REALLY confused at the beginning.

Was there him hallucinating? I see no strip where he starts to suffocate.

The woman in the phone booth wasn't real. She says something like "Me to translate" over and over in a monotone. It's probably some sort of recorded voice, that "Please hold the line"-type.
I believe we can also see an overview over his booth and the one next to it in the end, and the one next to him is empty.

The one at the end has a woman(?) chiselling.

The fuck?! When did 42 come from?

It wasn't there the first two times I read the whole damn thing!

Doesn't that kind of explain yourself? You were never meant to understand the
Me to translate bit

OK, I completely understand the whole thing now.
But that really sucked for the guy, he even drank his own urine only to suffocate to death.

Plus the fact that he could have survived with that hole.
