This is mostly concerning sheets and not individual sprites.

Anywho, twice now I've edited topics in which HUGE lists of full spritesheets were posted as images and not as links. I'm on a cable connection and you'd think it wouldn't be a problem, but it is. It takes too damn long for all those images to load.

It's also a complete pain in the ass to edit all those posts to get rid of the image tags.

Most of us have high-speed internet connections, but there are still those who're stuck with dial-up. Now if your huge list of posted sprite sheets takes five minutes to load up on your t3 connection... think of how long it'll take on a 56k modem! You'd get a novel read by the time it's done loading or get bored and leave.

So, have a heart and be considerate of those poor unfortunate souls who're still stuck with dial-up. Post your sheets as links and not images.

My friend has that problem. I mean a few sprites are ok, but he gets frustrated when it takes a long time to load those huge sheets! I know, I've seen how slow it is! I pity him, I do have high speed!

I even received some slowdown with my T1 connection. O.o;

Appendum:
If you have one or two sheets - feel free to put them up as images. How-ever mass sheets - links only.

What exactly qualifies as a large sheet? Sizes dimensions or file size?

Dimensions is usually a good measure, I think. You're not gonna see a walking sheet of Zero that's 4MB.

Dimensions. Basically, if it stretches the table, it's too big.

And this applies for both Custom Sprites and Sprite Submissions? It's common sense to link large images. Just need to know when.
