How-ever, this goes out to everyone else, and its becoming an offical ruling - quit making comparsions to Megaman. It's annoying even me, and I bloody run Sprites INC.
Sorry if this sounds really angry, I just can't help it. Too many stupid things have been happening today I have every right to be angry.
<rant>
But thats not to do with the topic in hand - what this topic is about is this new ruling, which basically means - if a topic blatently has nothing to do with Megaman - don't bring him into it. A topic about Doom (for example) is not a place to bring in "ZOMG THEY SHOULD MAKE A MEGAMAN FPS!!1!!!1one!"
If there happens to be a Megaman related-mod to Doom, THEN bring in that, but nothing else.
Equally, if something by far and away looks like a direct cloneage from the series, feel free to mention that too.
I don't care that this site is linked to by a Megaman site - it gets really grating after a while. Life does not revolve around one series.
This also applies to visa versa. If a topic is about Megaman, its not really the place to come in saying "ZOMG MEGAMAN BLOODY SUCKS!!!1!!1!" or "ZOMG U GAuYS SHUD PLay SUMTHINK ELSE!!".
Oh and Gaga - stop with all the stupid "ARGGH MEGAMAN!" or "MEGAMAN BECAUES THIS TOPIC NEEDS IT!" - it wasn't funny the first time, its not funny now.
This topic isnt an excuse to pick some other character, like, say, Mario, and start introducing him into every topic. This counts for everything, peroid.
If a topic is about fluffy winter hats (no, don't get ideas), its not an excuse to randomly start bashing furries.
If a topic is about randomly bashing furries, its not the place to bring in the fact you've lost your virginity.
If a topic is about the Bullet Hell genre, its not the place to mention how it resembles Forte/Bass being high from Rockman and Forte, and subsquently mention on how Megaman sucks and "AGURHUIGHSUGNIA MEGAMAN!".
Etc.
See why I don't like off topics posts? The last example. One stupid comment let to comments that were equally stupid and retarded, making all parties in question look like idiots.
Got it? Right.
Warnings will be started to be handed out for off topic posts. Keep to the topic in hand.
Rant over. </rant>
Sub Ruling A): This does not mean you cannot go "So, its like Legend of Zelda then?" in a topic. Questions are generally exempt from this ruling if you want a good base to get the general idea of the topic, but don't let the discussion get any further than that.
Sub Ruling B): This entire topic applies to Smeg Head and Spudnik too, altough you'll just recieve a random shouting to about posting in the right place.
Sub Ruling C): Do not start topics that will lead to random bashing. Leave that to the uneducated forums. Like IGN and Gamespot. Not here.
Sub Ruling D): Obviously this rule does not state that in general gaming threads - Megaman is exlcuded. Do not read into it that way, for that is not the intention of the rule.
Sub Ruling E): Theres a difference between going slightly off topic to make a joke about something someone has said (and leaving it at that) to changing the subject entirely to something not even remotely releated. I'm hoping the difference is common sense to people.
