Yet another "classic" topic makes its way onto the new boards.....
Anyway, I've just got The Critic on the tube. Jon Lovitz at his best.
I just watched Ralph Bakshi's rendition of the Lord of the Rings the over day. All the characters are rotoscoped, and a lot of the time they can't even be botheredto do that: they just use live-action B&W and paint over that. The ending was terrible too, seeing as it ended one and a half books through the trilogy, they quickly rushed a conclusion involoving Gandolf on a horse defeating the goblins "forever". Oh well.

South Park on the internets.
Last night... one or two of the SuperAdventure Rockman movies. Earlier today... the endomorph slider key frames for my lip synch animation. Right at this moment... classmates presenting logo designs and my text typing across the screen (it's animated, sorta. It counts. =P).
Later... SuperAdventure Rockman movies or one of my many DVDs that I have yet to watch. Basically, I'm watching precisely... nothing. So I said about what I watched before and plan to watch later.
Looney Tunes Golden Collection 2 (again)
This set has loads of Clampett toons. W00t.
(as you may be able to tell, I'm currently obsessed with Looney Tunes, much like I was with Azumanga a few months ago. BUT I STILL LOVES YOU OSAKA)

Azumanga, while not having a single moment that made me laugh, NEVER FAILS to make me smile.
I'm considering getting the Looney Tunes golden collection, as well as Stopit and Tidyup.
I just purchased the FMA Box set, so I'm gonna go through that, despite me already seeing it, soon.
And once again, I will blub, angst, and generally sulk a lot when Wrath gets dismembered
You can get Looney Tunes Vol.1 for about £13 now, and Stoppit and Tidyup is a measly £3-4 most places now.

Finally got around to watching the second Naruto movie...... it was surprisingly crappy, to tell you the truth. The first movie was much better.
Duck Tales the movie, got it for a £4 at Woolworth. Yeah this brings back alot of childhood memories, man now I have an urge for Disney to start showing the Duck Tales series again.....
Oh and watching Gungrave Vol 4 too, got to be one of my favourite part of the series.
Watched the entire of Family Guy season four today; as fantastic as it is occasionally confusing (damn you US references, you're either laughoutloud hilarious or slightly bewildering!)
Just finished Final Fantasy: Advent Children. I must say that Reno and Rude are my two favorite characters ever.

Lets just say that Cloud's become a dragged up rabbit/frog in this movie. The bike scene in the tunnel where Cloud fight with the 3 grey haired people is all so Dragonball Z withbikes, so it lost my intrest there and I didn't bother watchingafter I saw that....
Though I hear Final Fantasy liked the movie for some comical reference of something and action.

Currently i bought season 4 of family guy as well as season one of american dad. If Gagaman's paying attention i recently decided to get Dangermouse as well. I mean they're on boomerang but i can't always get round to watching cartoons during "grown up" time. Plus the episode i watched the other night with a scottish alien and his robot Grovel prompted me to make getting every single episode on dvd pronto. Speaking of which any boxsets of dangermouse that i don't know about Gaga?
Otherwise i still need to watch Memories, Howls moving castle on dvd as well as the rest of BatmanTAS season 1.
The best way to get Dangermouse on DVD is to import the American boxsets. There's currently 2 out with another on the way: Series1&2, Series 3&4 and soon Series 5&6 (they made a lot of series of varied lengths). The British DVDs are all over the place and in no particualr order, even though a couple of them have episodes the Amercia releases don't, unless there on Series 5&6. You can probably get the boxsets quite cheap too on somewhere like playusa.com, I got mine for $15 (about a tenner) a piece.

Not really. Playusa is a free postage British site that stocks American DVDs. They take about a week to receive, as they order them from the US then post it over.

They do have Danger puse DVDs over here too, but to get them in the right order you have to get the US ones.

Gun X Sword - Yeah this has become one of my fav series for some reason.
Tsubasa Chronicles - Started just watching it recently, seems intresting enough.
Also searching for episodes of Gargoyles and Mighty Ducks over the internet, yeah those were great action series.
Recent viewings:
Fire & Ice - Ralph Bakshi sword fighting film with lot's of rotoscoped animation (though it's not as lazy as his animated Lord of the Rings, which couldn't even be bothered to do that half the time) not a lot of plot, and not a lot of clothes either (thongs. UUUGH.). It's pants, to be simple.
Belleville Rendez-vous - Finally got a copy of the DVD to own, yay! This is the coolest animated film in recent years, and the best thing the French have given us since Asterix (mind you, the French are generally superb animators as it is) Brilliantly Unique. (If you're in America, it's under the title Triplets of Belleville)

Ralph Bakshi seems to love his Rotoscoping doesn't he? Then again his films had shite budgets so that's hardly his fault. The LOTR cartoon could've been better had it been given a bigger budget.
Recently saw the Spongebob Squarepants movie on Sky again. I forgot how funny this film actually was.

Just finished the first series of Orphen...... really cool, though I am disappointed with the subpar fight scenes...... and what happened at the very end with Childman and Azalie..... well...... that'll be totally messed up within a few years..... :g-drop:

My jump animation render. After taking the time to make sure that the model's pose was perfect for each frame and to make sure that the movement is realistic... I'm watching the render preview only to see that all that work has been totally ignored and thrown clean out the window and the model is frozen in one pose.
I seriously hate this fuckin' program. And considering I just dropped the f-bomb, then it's pretty obvious that I'm just completely sick of this stupid shit. Good freakin' god, why can't this goddamn program work properly for once in my fuckin' life?!

Just about to watch a tape with last night's Eureka 7 on it...... I've heard nothing but good things (with some praises of it actually exceeding Eva), but I just don't see the big deal behind the series yet. While the animation is superb, the voice acting, story, and general fight scenes are subpar at best and horrible at worst. Heck, even the individual characters seem to be fairly worthless, with Holland being the only one to be remotely cool (though he's still a tool).
I haven't been this confused over the word of mouth for a show since S-cry-ed, another stinker.
I've been going bonkers recently. (Actually I'd like to see Bonkers again for some strange reason but thats not the point)
I started with Mai HiME, which of course led me to watch Mai Otome as well.
After that I started watching epsidodes of Ouran High Host Club, which is a rather amusing anime. I also just recently finished The Melancoly of Haruhi Suzumiya, which I also fell in love with. Those were all downloaded by my roommmate. And I also bought volume 1 of Strawberry Marshmallow after reading about it in a Newtype, and I like that alot too, although the way the eyes are drawn makes the characters look stoned or something.

I'm just grateful I watched it at a friends, we were both in agony. The closest possible thing we have had since is when we watched Dark Crystal (Ace :D) and just joked about it throughout.

Just watched last night's Adult Swim airing of Trinity Blood, Bleach, and Eureka 7.
