Well, I posted this first on the MMC, but I want contestants from everywhere so I may as well post it here too!
I figured the word contest would catch your eyes! Anyway, this contest is for all of you hopefully creative people to express your dreams of an all new Maverick and watch it come to life!
Here's the details of this contest:
I had to recently pitch one of my Mavericks for personal reasons(I didn't like the way it looked) So that leaves the field open for one more Maverick. What's thast you say? Why should you care? Well, the winner of this contest will not only win, but have their Maverick brought to life in "Megaman X: Team Command 2" Here's the rules and regulations:
1.) Design over quality
I'm making this contest accessible for people of all drawing levels. If you stink, you may still have a chance of winning because I'm judging on the Maverick design itself.
But if you go around posting this and saying it's like Lava Raptor or something, I'll personally strangle you right through your PC.

Another thing, This isn't required, but if you can color your Maverick it would certainly help me when creating him for the game. I don't want to end up coloring it only to find out you had a different color scheme in mind....
2.) No rippoffs!
Really self-explanatory. Don't just recolor Storm Eagle and say: " ZOMG! It's Windy Bird, Storm Eagle's long lost cousin!" This will also earn you a strangling session.
3.) Innovative new ideas
I want you to use animals not yet done for the X series. I'll be a bit lenient on this one though. If someone decides to do like a Hercules Beetle boss, or something like that. I'd accept it. There are tons of animals, so you shouldn't have much problems...
4.) Background
Don't worry about your Maverick's background. Just know that it was made by Epsilon. But if you whole heartedly want to add a Background story to it, be my guest.
5.) Sprite
This option is purely optional and won't affect your grade. You can make one though to help me out, references are always helpful.
6.) Have fun!
This shouldn't be an overly competitive contest. Just a chance for people to band together and bring forth their fantasy Mavericks!
7.) Winners
This contest will go on for one week. At the end of that week, I'll round up a team of judges(provided anyone wants to be one with me)and we'll grade the pieces individually. The winner will Have their design be re-edited and redrawn(But kept mostly intact) Will also recieve the original sketch I drwew up(so you'll have to give me your address for that), and have their Maverick Star in MMX:TC2!
That's the gist of the tourney rules. I expect a large turn-out of X fans to post their lovely creations and to be wowed by fantastic drawings! Use this thread for submitting Mavericks, or for general contest discussion. If you are a shyer member, you can also submit your maverick to me via Pm or email:

Drawing is the purpose of this contest! Any form of art is welcomed, whether it be drawn, done in paint, scratched in stone, or spit! I really look forward to seeing what eveyone has!

The format for the game itself is going to be 32bit format.
The drawings will be remastered into the same art style as the PSX Maverick art, but on a bit higher scale.... Sure, I'd need more judges.

Humanoid Dinosaur Reploid, unknown single horn dinosaur. Panzer's Primary weapon is a machinegun Buster that fire Rapid fire shots and a dash attack where he attempts to spear his foe with his forehead horn.

That looks draswn to me. Drawn in photoshop or on paper, it's still been drawn.

Ok, I'll like to say before judging: Please make it look like the animal or plant its suppose to be. That goes to Lordofnightmares and everyone else. Also, make it look more mechanical.
AS for the other guy, have you played/watched Digimon? Because your guy looks too much like a certian digimon.
Just so you know.
Anyway, the first thing I said would help you gain my judgement, so yea.
I wanna judge, if that's okay with you.

Ok, I like the turnout so far. We ar getting some mavericks posted and thats good. Now Solar, As judges we need to remain completely neutral to any and all entries until the actual judging begins, although i do agree that he looks like that particular digimon, I can't think of the thing's name though... Any way, this can be easily altered during the reconstruction process.
Another thing I forgot to add, you guys may submit multiple Mavericks, I'm nice like that!
Now, anyone else wishing to be a judge should send a pm to me. this way it keep this topic running smoothly with entries and less judge requests. Now depending on the number of entries, I'll recruit more judges, but for now, the number stays...

yeah well if i draw it on a computer you won't be able to tell what it is. unless koa will let me post some thing that is heavely based around one of the old robot masters, cutman. i call him cutman 2.0(the only art i made on a computer that actully looked ok[but the version i drew on paper was 10 times better])
MMX characters are based on animals, not stuff, like in the megaman sieries.

Well it really depends on what the story is if it has to do with Wily making a comeback he could of made a robot based of an original robot.
Edit:Oh and there is that one x7 maverick Tornado Tonion he is based off a onion which is not an animal.

No, there is No Wily in this game. As stated in my very first post, The new villian(or should i say villainess) Is Epsilon. Megaman X: Team Command 2 takes place 2000 years after TC1, which is an alternate storyline taking place after X6. Naturally, there are gonna be new faces :P

I've been waiting since the start of this contest for someone to ask that. Megaman X: Team Command one will be released in a few months. I'm soon gonna finish it and I'm getting the ball rolling on the sequel to reduce work. All the other 7 Mavericks have been present and accounted for. Just gonna get this last one here and get things truely started!

Well, "some KoA guy" rather likes the idea of having more plant based mavericks. I'd like to see some more if possible.

Look at either X7 or X8 (can't remember which) there is a Sunflower. So Mavericks are plants also.

Fungus design. Created for combat purposes, Toadstool is adept at using his two beam sabers, which are built into his arms. Stores mechanical spores in the panel on his head, which he can spray at enemies to paralyze them momentarily, allowing him to move in for the kill.
It wasn't until I finished it that I remembered about Split Mushroom, so sorry about that. :g-drop:
