View Full Version : Model Cx (command mission X)
My other sprite sheet of the dark colored model X didn't go so well so i hope this thread does. Tell me what you think. (P.S. if your not going to say anything nice then do not post):

(PS: sorry for hotlinking)
It really just looks like a minor recolor and edit of Copy X, sorry, but nothing was really done.
P.S. Don't open a new thread everytime you make a sprite, k? Just a heads up.

No, just, no.
The base is ZERO, though.
My bad.
That changes everything.
Your sprites are awesome [/Sarcasm]

Sarcasm (and improper use of nonexistant forum tags) is entirely uncalled for. And entirely misplaced given the skill level of most here. Direct on base spriting isn't any different from what this user presented, in fact it's the same.
Now, instead of going on how ZOMG Awesome they might or might not be. Tell him what he should do to improve, whilst keeping the intent of the sprite intact: How else would one envision X to look like in the ZERO series?
Key things to note would be that X is a pixel shorter than Zero. His design having clear grey/blue chestplates depicted in his Z2 sprite. He also has a distinctly different helmet from Copy-X and comletely white hands:

The first sprite of CM-X does this appropiately. But it needs to go a step further: change his pose to something fitting for RockmanX.

Zan, I hope you aren't prasing him for these sprites, because he didn't make them.
I have neither praised nor put them down. The CM-X sprites are no different from any other based sprite done on this forum. Stating it's a recolour isn't right, as it's not merely a recolor.
But Zan, it IS a recolor. Someonelse made those sprites and it seems that he's just recolored them.
Zy, did you read the part where he says 'With their permission'?...
His sprites aren't just a recolor of what the other person did.
The buster's been changed, and so has various armor points.
(not trying to argue with your logic, but both sheets are more than recolors)
I remember seeing a sheet on the Shy Guy Kingdom, it looked exactly like this one, hence why I said no editing was done.
(O.O)! If it looked exactly like this one...Then sprite theft!?
Either the guy you saw had it was this person, or he's so going to get banned!
Um.. So this buddy is a thief? Correct me if I am wrong.

He DID use non-PD-prites, but he never claimed something he didn't do as his own. Therefore, no thievery. And that thing on Shyguy Kingdom is what he edited it from. However, it's still an edit, not a recolour, and he gave credit to the original creators of what he based it off later on too.

I just couldn't identify the edits sinde I don't have the orignal sprite to compare them too.
