Blues Light

Ok, so this first poem's a bit sappy, but I wrote it in a sappy mood so it all evens out I suppose. If you've read the Silmarillion or the Lay of Lethian more specically, you'll see some inspiration.
I knew my love and she knew me
before the world began.
We swam about the empty sea
and walked we hand in hand.
We flew to heights not yet on high,
into the skies above,
yet ere there were sea, earth, or sky
there did abound our love.
The starlight shone upon we twain
before the Sons of Light
bestrode the sky in gleaming train
and banished ever-night.
As dawn rose o'er the new-made earth,
the timeless world gone by,
we knew we saw the end of mirth,
a kiss bid us "good-bye."
Perchance we twain would meet again
in some far-distant day.
That day our love will new begin,
perchance we then can stay.

Ok, back into writing things again. This one is hardly finished. It's more or less some musings jotted down, so it's free form.
Her smile is contagious.
Her glance is piercing and yet inviting.
Her laugh causes the sun to rise and her sadness falls in precious diamonds.
She is always serious, and seriously she sets the world at play.
The warmth of her eyes brings comfort.
She is lithe as an elf-maide as she dances enchantment upon all who love her.
She coaxes you to gentle sleep, yet nudges you to stay awake with her and count the stars, one by one.
She runs from you and hides, only to spring onto your shoulders.
As she walks, flowers of all kinds rise to life before her.
She is the envy of all whom she meets.
She sings with the voice of an angel, and light is interwoven in her hair.
She needs say no words, yet on each words hangs desire and doom.
A dragon's treasure and a song could not buy one glance, yet she longs to gaze into your eyes.
Sleeping she prophesies the burning of golden Ilium, and wakes with a giggling embrace.
Nothing less than Annatar's Ring will she wear, and it as a trinket.
None can tame her or take her, but she will choose to whom she will belong.
To him she will be true, and she will come to him across the dread sea borne on silver wings.
She is song.
She is laughter.
She is the shimmering star.
She is love, and love alone she is named.
Aww... cute~! Nice work! :D
I think it's very good my dear friend....but I already told you that, hehe.

You know Blues?
What are you talking about? I've never seen him before in my life.
Then what was that end part?

My guess was just randomness. I know Sirius in real life, but that's it for those at INC.
Yup, and that's because we're just both super cool! hehe

If you don't give an answer by next week Hanzo Hattori will get your spot in the three-legged race with Sasuke.

Well, my old friend writer's block has come to stay with me again.
I need ideas people! Anything and everything could work. I just need something to give me a good idea.
Uh... Do a funny poem! One about X and Zero...?

I've got the main theme for my next poem.
For the time being, we'll call it "Jenevere."

I agree with what someone said earlier about using comedy to get out of writer's block. It always helps me... I'm particularly fond of parodies. They're easy and fun, and usually help kick-start something more serious.
Good luck with the upcoming work, I'm sure it will prove to be interesting.
Wow, someone agrees with me.
But yeah, humor + poetry = the next Bill Cosby.
Or something like that.
