Inafune's Self Inspiration

As most of you know, Keiji Inafune sketched out quite a few characters that never made it into a Rockman game. Some of the discarded characters resemble other, newer characters quite strikingly. This thread is just for discussing how old or unused characters inspired new ones (but not for "Dude! Megaman.exe is SOOOOO based off of old skool Megaman lolololol").

Does anyone but me see an inking of Rockman X and Storm Eagle here?

Actually, the second one looks like a RM version of Larkman.EXE. The first has a nearly striking resemblance to X, and if you look at early sketches of Zero, he had a look reminiscent of Protoman. My guess is that he looked back at earlier sketches of his characters and used their concept for the later characters of the series.

The only thing one I know is Punk. There were several designs for Punk, and one of them was used for BN. So, actually, the BN Punk was there BEFORE the Classic Punk.
