View Full Version : Quick's boredom comics.
I don't have much, and few go beyond mebbe four panels and there's absolutly no ongoing continuity at all. These were made outta boredom ('cept for the Heatman one which was for a tutorial). Every now and then I like to slap a buncha sprites onto a canvas and mess around.

Okay, this one doesn't even use sprites, but whatever:

Oh my god, it's another non-sprite comic!

Fear the broken French and the background that's not to scale!

And last but not least... Math proves all.

I started a few ongoing comics, but never got passed the first issue. I find it easier to stick to smaller strips and self-contained stories.
Well at least your comics are "other"...
..."Other"? There are categories? o.O
I try to avoid rehashing worn-out cliched stereotypes, and I usually end up with one-panel gags. I was working on an actual serious storyline for a sprite comic, Ringo had built backgrounds in Redneck Rampage for it, we had a script... but it was just too involved. Also trying to maintain some consistancy with the sprites proved to be a bit difficult. That comic was quickly scratched 'fore it even got passed the first installment.
Instead, I slapped together four panels of Bass yelling at Treble for peeing on the rug.

Hooray for nonsensical comics made from boredom.
I especially like Iceman's expressions. :D
But I still Don't get the french one...
Maybe if someone translated the french one.... The rest of them are pretty funny.

But I still Don't get the french one...
Translation:
Frame 1:
Forte: Come here, Treble! Come here!
Treble: Woof.
Frame 2:
Forte: You are a bad dog!
Treble: Woo...
Frame 3:
Forte: Why did you pee on the carpet?
Treble: Woof.
Frame 4:
Forte: No Biscuit!
Treble: Woo...
Fear the broken French
Broken? Yes. Understandable? Still yes.
The lines are not perfect on the maths comic

The lines are not perfect on the maths comic
But then that's not the point. The message that the comic is expressing is the focus and what makes it funny. XD

Picky, picky. Wanna comment on the messy word bubbles in the French comic, too, Nit-Pickado? :p
As Soviet said, the lines aren't the focus of the comic. It's the whole subject matter. I mean, seriously... do you read comics just to look for lil insignificant flaws, or do you read comics for the comic itself? If I went through life looking for all the lil insignificant flaws just to complain about 'em, I'd be one miserable person.
