Even though i don't utterly hate Linkin Park like some groups, you (or rather they) might been in for some stick once GG_Hendrix catches a whiff of this thread.

Some of their songs are cool though imo. Place for my head i think is my fav. But similar to what most people say, the music doesn't sound bad, but A) i don't think the lyrics are that awe inspiring and B) they practically play the same song over and over again.

Are Linkin Park even still doing stuff anymore? And if they are, does it all still sound like the same song with different lyrics?

Looks like a certain Admin doesn't like Linkin Park!

Linkin Park are not too bad. I only enjoy two or three of their songs though.

And in my personal opinion, the work they did with Jay-Z was good, but it was the point at which they ceased to be original.

Sonnet- Awww, you know me so well.

Right.

Disclaimer: This is my fucking opinion. Disagree you may, but bitch you may not.

They are awful.

They have no musical creativity to speak of (there are 4 songs on Linkin Park that when paired sound EXACTLY the same. We call this Nickleback syndrome) they have abysmally uninspired lyrical themes designed to appeal to the rebellious 14 year old masses of the world who crave angst ridden idiocy that speaks to them, as they know what rejection and misery feels like, what with their parents not giving them all the money in the world.

Dull, uninspired, emotionless, tat.

I hope Chester Bennington falls down a flight of stairs as punishment for the crimes of
- Making girls everywhere flick emselves over him
- Making idiots everywhere think he is a lyrical genius

I like some of their songs, but not enough to get a CD.

I had a friend who was hooked on Linkin Park, but now he's more into Rammstein.

GG Hendrix

Congratulate him for me.
(I'm probably biased as A) I love Rammstein B) Fucking ANYTHING is better than Linkin)

Yeah I'm with Hendrix and Gaga, my reaction when I heard one of there songs was "Hmmm yeah its a bit good, let me check there other songs out" After grabbing more of them, I was wondering if I was listening to a remix or actually a completely different song.

Though personally I thought that "In the end" and "A place for me head" are my personal favourite of theres (but not something I'd like to listen over and over again)

Yeah , In the End is good but I think Faint is better than ...
And I have linkin park wallpapers

It's between 'Crawling' and 'Faint', is it?

HAHAHAHAHAHA

I remember MTV2 a few years ago had a series of shorts with a puppet 'Chester Benderton'. Almost as good as Wondershowzen...

GG Hendrix
30-05-06, 19:06
Wondershowzen is shite!

Mikado
30-05-06, 19:09
Faint is alot less worse

Perks
30-05-06, 19:13
That was creative use of ellipsis!

To reiterate: Linkin Park are hilariously dire.

Mikado
30-05-06, 19:18
Uhm what does "ellipsis" mean?
and I dislike Linking part to I'me just saying that the other song is less worse than the other...

GG Hendrix

I'll tell you this, it's not whatever Perks thinks it is. :p

The omission of a word or phrase necessary for a complete syntactical construction but not necessary for understanding.

Hm, "Crawling" is the first Linkin Park song I heard, but now that I'm actually listening to "Faint," yeah, it's better.

Mikado

You could use the lyrics Speedremix has up there or you could've used the internet:
List of Linkin Park lyrics by song (http://www.azlyrics.com/l/linkinpark.html).

Perks

Or you could listen to some music that isn't crushingly awful!

I'll tell you this, it's not whatever Perks thinks it is. :p

Example "..."

And I did a fucking English exam last week. I always thought ellipsis was the literal term for '...'. Ah well!

Nah Perks was on his best behavior. I just moved the contents of one post to the other, although looking back i could have just merged the posts just like i merged the threads.

Wow! Finding this thread just made my day. I didn't think something like this would be here. I have 1 CD, and burn all their songs either off the internet or off of other CD's. I was planning on releasing a few megaman movie clips I've made along with my custom sprites wich all inlude Linkin Park songs. Don't forget to keep an eye out for my post of it....It's really cool. I might just be able to post it here tomorrow.:D

Wow, I can't believe it took me this long to see this thread. All I have to say is that THEIR MUSIC IS SH*T. As GG said, it appeals to upper-middle class teenagers who think they're "ghetto" "have a horrible life because their parents won't spend more than $5,000 dollars on a car for them." Not only is their music sh*t, but they aren't even origional.

Boja
08-11-06, 00:51
Previously I had never listened to them, but after seeing this thread, I listened to "A Place for my Head", to put it short I wasted 29 seconds of my life.

My favorite song is definitely Faint. Actually, the only ones I've heard are Faint, Numb, Crawling, In the End, and Breaking the Habit. And they're all great! :D

Rags
20-11-06, 03:24
I listen to themI don't think I'm ghetto (Although I'm told I act like I am...) and because I think I have a horrible life because my mom won't spend more than $5,000 dollars on a car for me. Becuse I just do.
