I saw this on the news. I feel sorry for the family of some who got killed. That includes you too Ace. I just want to know why the person started shooting.

There are security issues starting to pop up among the colleges around Iowa. I never would of thought this kind of senseless vioence would happen. From what I heard, the shooter was african american, and was armed with a military grade weapon; AK47. But that was just speculation.

On wiki it says he was an asian in his early 20's wearing a maroon cap, and a vest that he carried the guns in.

Weapons that this man was armed with was two guns, one a 9mm and the other a small caliber type pistol, chained up with extra ammo in a vest. The speculation is this all started due to a fight he had with his girlfriend, according to NBC News... I also have an aunt who works as a professor at the college so I am very worried about her.

Actually, there are 33 (Inclusive of 1 killed who killled himself) killed, 15 wounded...
Grim-faced TV anchors reported the rising death toll: 21, 31, then 33, including the shooter himself, not immediately identified. He put a bullet to his head. Two of the dead were shot at the dorm, the remainder at Norris Hall. Authorities also reported that 15 people were wounded, some seriously.


One student told The Washington Post that the gunman, said to be about 19 years old, burst into the room and fired about 30 shots in just a minute a half - first blasting a professor in the head, then shooting the students.

I live in Appomattox VA and alot of my friends attend VT. This was a horrific event that happened and it has had a huge impact on people here in our little town. I pray for the families that suffered losses and the many more who have been injured.

The killer was a South Korean Cho Seung Hui who after an arguement with his girlfriend shot her and the dorm supervisor.

Its pretty sad. That was his last year in english.

My only question is did he do both shootings? The one in the dorms and the one in one of the class buildings or just one of them. Before I forget I feel sorry for the people who have lost family and friends in this horrific event.
