Those from the Cosmic-gaga forums pretty much know about this work in progress and have seen my work as writer of a previous webcomic, but because this is a new forum and we will no doubt have new members I will start this post as if it were brand new. It is advised that you see the work as a writer for a lot of the comics posted at the following site: http://TKR.cosmic-hero.com
Basically VGA Mayhem will be a comic where an alternate version of my original character in Wolf Chronicles and an alternate version of a friends character that also appears in the same story, interfere with various Game and Anime worlds. Chances are you'll see my character probably destroyed Metal Gear before Solid Snake could get there, or you'll probably see my friends character abducting a vital plot character from a series. Obviously there will be jokes about various games and animes but mainly the entire point of the comic is interferance, a bit like a Time paradox except with funny consequences. The site will not only feature comics though. It will feature my Wolf Chronicles fiction, game reviews, and miscellanious things, a lot of which will not find its way onto things like DA.
Anyway, as most people of the cosmic-gaga forums know, i am not a good artist at all and i mainly have skills in writing. However, i am currently trying to improve my skills as an artist in the meantime, although i estimate it will be a considerable amount of time before i deem myself passable to start doing a comic. A good friend of mine has offered me help in doing a comic once every so often, many of the cosmic-gaga crowd already know her work as the artist for TKR. This raises a bit of a dilemma.
With the amount of writing and things I'll be putting up on the site, the site will be updated regularly, but it won't be updated much comic-wise. Now I have a choice of whether I put the site up as of when the first comic is done(without a logo or perhaps using a logo temporarily) or waiting until i can get my skill to a passable level.
Pros for putting the site up soon:
1. It will inspire me to move forward quicker with my story and practicing my drawing.
2. It will inspire me to write a lot more reviews and a lot of different ideas I have floating around my head that i don't wish to post on DA.
3. I get an early reaction as to what everyone thinks of the comic and the site content.
4. In relation to Pro #1, it will also inspire me to begin making the game of my story that i've been wanting to do once some of the story is out of the way. Updates such as screenshots would turn up on the site as would news of its progression.
Only Con for setting up soon:
1. Comic won't be updated regularly leading to people thinking the comic is dead.
Personally I need your input with this as I am considering doing it but I wish to know from the rest of you first because I value comments of things like my writing and ideas.
