Those from the Cosmic-gaga forums pretty much know about this work in progress and have seen my work as writer of a previous webcomic, but because this is a new forum and we will no doubt have new members I will start this post as if it were brand new. It is advised that you see the work as a writer for a lot of the comics posted at the following site: http://TKR.cosmic-hero.com

Basically VGA Mayhem will be a comic where an alternate version of my original character in Wolf Chronicles and an alternate version of a friends character that also appears in the same story, interfere with various Game and Anime worlds. Chances are you'll see my character probably destroyed Metal Gear before Solid Snake could get there, or you'll probably see my friends character abducting a vital plot character from a series. Obviously there will be jokes about various games and animes but mainly the entire point of the comic is interferance, a bit like a Time paradox except with funny consequences. The site will not only feature comics though. It will feature my Wolf Chronicles fiction, game reviews, and miscellanious things, a lot of which will not find its way onto things like DA.

Anyway, as most people of the cosmic-gaga forums know, i am not a good artist at all and i mainly have skills in writing. However, i am currently trying to improve my skills as an artist in the meantime, although i estimate it will be a considerable amount of time before i deem myself passable to start doing a comic. A good friend of mine has offered me help in doing a comic once every so often, many of the cosmic-gaga crowd already know her work as the artist for TKR. This raises a bit of a dilemma.

With the amount of writing and things I'll be putting up on the site, the site will be updated regularly, but it won't be updated much comic-wise. Now I have a choice of whether I put the site up as of when the first comic is done(without a logo or perhaps using a logo temporarily) or waiting until i can get my skill to a passable level.

Pros for putting the site up soon:

1. It will inspire me to move forward quicker with my story and practicing my drawing.
2. It will inspire me to write a lot more reviews and a lot of different ideas I have floating around my head that i don't wish to post on DA.
3. I get an early reaction as to what everyone thinks of the comic and the site content.
4. In relation to Pro #1, it will also inspire me to begin making the game of my story that i've been wanting to do once some of the story is out of the way. Updates such as screenshots would turn up on the site as would news of its progression.

Only Con for setting up soon:

1. Comic won't be updated regularly leading to people thinking the comic is dead.

Personally I need your input with this as I am considering doing it but I wish to know from the rest of you first because I value comments of things like my writing and ideas.

Oooh, hand-drawn.

Are those character actually based on IRL people, or are you just very good at character bios?

The TKR characters were based off real life people with animal like traits. T was the main artist, I was R the main writer and K was a friend of ours that only ended up helping as writer instead of another artist.

The only place I've put character descriptions for VGA are in my story. The main thing with that is VGA is a parallel world so my character will reflect my personality a bit more than usual.

EDIT: I suppose i could always draw up the basic bios for their VGA counterparts seeing as it won't give Wolf Chronicles away.

As i said before, just get to work on it and worry later. But if you wanna make sure it looks all pretty then be my guest.

If i do have time, as i said before i'll lend you a hand if you want.

MY GOD! An Update!

A preview screenshot for you all, yes its not exactly a radical departure from what I had before, but like i said, im getting the site ready regardless

Thats the preview using the Netscape Browser (which coincidentally, is displaying that at how Firefox should see it at 800 X 600 on my monitor at least.) The text "Wolf Chronicles" is temporary, of which will be replaced by a logo soon enough, as for the VGA Mayhem logo, its temporary, and will also be replaced by a better logo soon.

Comments please

Cheers

Seems a tad bit too plain so far, might want to add something to the background to make it stand out a bit more, for the vast amount of the area, I see alot of blue.

Personally mate, Its about getting it up at the moment, other things can be worked on once the site is up, but i want it uploaded and on the net so that at least its one major thing on my "to-do" list out of the way.

Suppose so, you can make it look more "Kawaii!!!1111!!" once you've put the site on the net.

As it is, that VGA mayhem logo is temporary, as is the "Wolf Chronicles" text in the top right, as a friend of mine is working on logo's for both of them. Also really, i do want to make it so that it isn't plain, just its not a priority at the moment.
