Some of you (very nice people. :D) Have commented on most of these in the music topic I had in Smeg. I decided to convert to a more easily accessible format, and just make a topic for the game as a whole. So far I'm on my own, spare one special guest musician and two possible spriters (stilll being screened), so any help is vastly appreciated. There is no release date as of this time, as quality is FAR more important than a quick fix.

Give them a new look since Battle Network is in a different dimension than the X, Z, ZX, and classic series.

I'm considering that also, but I REALLY like this style...Besides, I know it sells, so why fix something if it isn't broken? (Not that I'm selling, that'd be evil)

Besides, I think it would be very difficult to make the game in a new style; people would not be accustomed to it, and if it's TOO strange it will certainly decrease downloads.

I am going to design them differently than the old bosses though.

Reminds me of me. I always have tons of ideas that I wish I could put down on paper or use them in a game.
I'm writing a book soon. I hope it turns out really well.

I did some X overworlds, Axl overworld, and Zero overworlds. They all have new looks, besides Zero. He has his MMZ look. I didn't do actual running animation and buster firing animations. I don't really plan on it either.

Oh yes, I was supposed to find the link to the overworld movement demo...I'll do that now, I apologize.

On a somewhat related note: I made a google page. This way I can make updates without having to worry about post restrictions and the like, and I can organize things more easily.

I want to do the major characters myself, I've been refining their designs for quite some time now, but I would gladly accept anything else. I still need operators (ALL of them, lesser maverick operators included), NPC's, etc, so yeah! Feel free to do them, but I call the expensive meat. :D

I'm sorry, but that's all there is...The programming takes a lot of time, especially when you are the only one who really knows how to do GML code AND wants to work on the dang thing at the same time... :\

Well, you have to put the game folder in your program files, or it won't be able to find the music.

I realize it may be a cliche idea, but I intend to make good with it.

HI. I haven't been posting much, but it's because I've been BUSY. I am still working on this game, I PROMISE. Not much coding work has been done, but sound and concept art is booming. I should have all of the characters' designs mapped out before the end of my sophomore year, which quite honestly makes me extremely excited. I'll be updating the page at the beggining of next month with about ten new designs at least, but I'll give you a taste now. I picked this one because it's the first I've colored...EVER...And I know some are looking forward to an end for Forte's storyline.

The game will also include Dynamo (in a quite unexpected way, actually), Alia, The X-Hunters, Double, Hi-Max, and Layer. May include more later.

A cameo role or cameo appearance (often shortened to just cameo) is a brief appearance of a known person in a work of the performing arts, such as plays, films, video games and television. Such a role needs not be filled by an actor: short appearances by film directors, politicians, athletes, and other celebrities are common.

Those aren't really cameos, they're playable characters, they don't just appear in the background for no reason. (Dr. Willy in MvC would be a cameo)

On topic: Why would Forte be in MMX: BN, that makes no sense, he's never appeared in the MMX universe. Nice art nonetheless though :D

AH, but that's the thing. The major mavericks are completely sentient entities, totally unreliant on a human operator. Sigma's goal is to destroy the humans, so it wouldn't make much sense for them to have a human tether now would it?

EDIT: Someone asked me to finish Forte's storyline. The MMX:BN story takes place after Lan dies. Forte is still the internet monster, and *thing I won't spoil* causes all existing navis to either go into a sort of stasis, mutate, evolve, or die a horrible, painful, and lengthy death. The Forte you see there has mutated via his ability to absorb power. When *thing* hit the area of the net he was in, he merely transcended to the next level. He will stillbe a secret, optional boss, but when you meet him in this game it will most likely be for the last time.

...No, it's Forte, mutated by the killer wave from *spoiler*.

EDIT: I never posted this? Wow, scatterbrained. Tis is the first concept for the titlescreen's background. The sillhouette is of a replicate of Dynamo's program in a copybot. These copybots are the main real-world enemies.

I only got PaintShop Pro, but that's pretty good for photo stuff and Graphic makeovers.

Yeah,m and I have a problem scanner. It doesn't want to work very often too, so getting things scanned in and attempting to color them is a very rare occasion.

Well, I know of one other place to get it, but I think I'd get in trouble for posting it here. It's a perfectly safe site, but it does have a link that gives you the program for free.

I'm still trying to decide on what to do for the second part...

Also: I've almost got the basic movement for the battle system down! It seems like so little, but for it to work the way it needs to it takes a lot longer than you would expect. I have to leave a lot of breathing room for color and terrain transformation variables, enemy checking, etc. Which, once you finally figure it out, makes the next couple of steps a lot of copy and paste, but you have to figure it out. ( 0__0) And for some reason, he keeps gravitating towards the top row on the red side... Much better than it was though. :D
