Well, after seeing the Megaman TCG thread I started to wonder if anyone else here plays any TCG's like Magic The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh. And if you do when did you start playing and other stuff like that. You know, just talk about it I guess.

Anyway, I play Magic and have for about five to six years now. I started playing when I was a Freshman in high school. I mainly play with Red cards cause I love complete and utter destruction of opponents cards, which is why I usually couple Black with Red. The best I've ever placed in a tourney was third in a Sealed Deck comppetion(sp?). Now, let's hear what you all got?

Havent played magic, looked neat.

I started with Pokemon when I was like 6, quit when I was about 8.

Started Yu-gi-oh when I was 10-11. It was fun, but I quit about 12.

The WoW TCG looks fun, I might start it if BAM gets a decent crowd for it.

My friends play magic. It looks fun except this is the main question. What are you going yo do with all of the cards later in life?

I played Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh.

Now I just give the cards to my nephews, because they like them so much. Sooner or later they are going to encounter the same question.

Easy, I'll sell them. I've made quite a bit of money off of the cards I already sold to the local Game store.(not Vid. game store)

What store do you sell them at? I could get a lot of money from my Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

Same, cept i didn't play Yu-Gi-Oh, i thought the concept was basically PokeMon, just slightly different.
Hell, even my brother says they have cards that evolve now.

Well, I sell them at Crossroad games. BUT, that isn't a chain store and is, infact only found in Standish Maine. Hell, I've met and played against the owner.(just to give you an idea on how small/local it is)

Well, sorta. They just have Monster Cards that can Level Up now. Like, urm...

Armed Dragon Lv. 1 -> Armed Dragon Lv. 3 -> Armed Dragon Lv. 5 -> Armed Dragon Lv. 7

I always liked Yu-Gi-Oh! better than PokeMon though: way less kiddish.

I played Magic, I started in about 95-96 (the good old days when you could pick up "Arabian Knights") and I stopped about when Mirage was introduced. Although I picked up a few packs when Darksteel came out...but I stopped after seeing what Magic has turned into. It mutated into a un-backwards compatible card game that typically ends in 10 turns or less. Yeah, it is not fun anymore. I have about 20 odd decks, about 6 or so are serious and evil. And I still have my cards to this day.

I also had two Pokemon decks when the game first poked its head out. It was kind of fun, and I had a really nasty water/psychic deck. The whole point was to strip energy cards away, very evil. Although I only collected cards in the first 'core' set and one or two expansions before I stopped. I later gave away all my cards to some random kids on the street, which certainly made their day.

I than went onto table top wargaming… that didn’t last too long, heh heh.

Heh, since everyoes talking about their decks usually..

Can't remember my pokemon deck, had a few very awesome cards though, I think maybe 2 lugias oO?

On Yu-Gi-Oh I literally had an unstoppable deck, all my characters were very hard defense or could damage the enemies LP, and half of my magics and traps were ones that would damage the enemies LP..
I played a 2000 match that I won on my first turn XD

I play Yu-Gi-Oh. And by the way, there IS no Armed Dragon Level 1. It goes
3>5>7>10. That's only for the AD series. My current decks are a D Hero and E-Hero mix, and a beatdown deck.
