hey everyone i decided to make me own sprite thread C+C please

A whole lot of Frankencolors... at least you have the basics of sprtiing down, now lest see if you ca ndo something more unique.
yea well most of those are supposed to be souls of other robot masters. but for helios i was hoping if any one knows some good attacks for him plus maybe a slightly better look for him
The Protoman edits looks kinda cool.
They are all not bad, but I would like to see you try soemthing more.... all in all I do not like the BN sprite much, The hands are not style matching and the rest of him seems oddly frank'd together.

I like the souls, they work very well.
The parts of Helios are slightly too obvious.
FireMan's fire, Proto's head, Bass's body, and Shade's legs.
Blend in the head more by using the body colours, and removing the white stripe above his visor.
The feet need editing to remove the obviousness. You could replace the feet, but that's probably more work.
Did you used to work with sonic sprites, by any chance?
yea i know its kinda obious im working on fixing that but it is not fireman's fire its fire soul's so NHA:g-Gaga: anyway ill show you my updated version of helios soon ive already gotten rid of the white stripe on the head ive added wings that still look like falzer beasts but ill fix that and ive never worked with sonic sprites...well at least not that i remember why do you ask?

Anyway, it's been a LONG time since I updated this but, I thought this would be the best place to put the sprites for my new project. The project is a new story/comic I'm making. The first is a un-named male char. who is one of the "enemies" that Rock (main char.) will be facing.

I know his hair is still in Vent's style but I couldn't really think of anything else. I'll post his bio up as soon as it's finished. So C+C would be appreciated.

Yea, I know but like I said I couldn't think of anything else. I'll post his personality in a sec. That way maybe you can help me come up with a better doo and a name.
Edit- Okay, here's his personality.
He's very energetic, likes sharp objects, and likes playing Jankan but always losses 'cause he tends to pick Scissors alot. (think that's what it's called, you know Rock-paper-scissors?)
So.. any ideas anyone?

So, you didn't get the whole Scissor thing did you? That right there explains what "type" he is. And I like that name. I might just go with it.

Update. This is one of the twins I'm making. Her name is Melody is very caring and incredebly sweet. She's essentially the innocent one.

That looks good. She looks innocent which is good but the shading on the hands looks a bit odd.8/10

Yes, they are. Melody's twin, Aria, is gonna be Fireman. And I havn't decided what the names of the other three are gonna be yet, I do know that Guts and Bomb will be males and Elec is gonna be a female.

No, I quit that and am trying to make something MUCH better. But Artemis will show up in this eventually.
What about Timeman and Oilman?
I was thinking about putting them in. But I wasn't sure if I should or even could. You see, in this story, all of the RM have no personality and aren't even robots. They are cyber suits that are made to enhance a humans performance to do certain jobs. Which are what the robots were designed for.
Oilman suit can be like a mechanic,and Timeman suit fortune teller?
Um, This is kind of been bugging me...but aren't timeman and oilman made-up characters?
Where they actually in MM1??
No but they were in MMPU which is the remake of MM1.

They were in Powered Up with MM1 Bosses. I consider them to be MM1 bosses, but that is what I think.
@Rags-Oilman's would work but Timeman't wouldn't. These suits are designed for commercial use to improve society in a safe way. Like, the Ice suit is for scientists for exploring the artic. Guts suit for construction. Cut suit for logging. Bomb suit for demolition purposes. Fire suit for, well whatever Fireman was for. And Elec suit for Power Plant operaitions.
Timeman could be used for scientists to study the past.
That works I guess. Now I just need some humans to go with them. And I got to come up with two more "verses".
Crescendo of the Past and I can't think of another.
I'm using Cresendo for another part. It's gonna be simply "Cresendo" which is the climax of the story.

It's not really "revealing", it looks kinda odd though. Mainly cause of the head

I really liked it so I implemented it. And the reason why she doesn't have much armor is cause she's meant to be more hand to hand with her hands and feet ablaze.
Its not as much as a change as the others but its still good.

It's supposed to be a scar over the eye. It didn't come out very well though.

I think you shouldn't use mmZ zero's first slash, I personally hate the way they made it. But it's just me, otherwise really good.

Is the blade coming out of his wrist like in Republic Commando? Anyway 9/10 great job.
No, it's just that his hand is turned to the left at the end there so it looks like it's on his wrist.

Well, good news. I've gotten over my fit of rage for now and begun work on the Onyx Knight, Alexander. But I'm not sure what to give him for weapons. I was going to give him gauntlets for pucnching attacks but I decided to give that to Emerald instead. (for reasons you'll see eventually) So, any ideas? Oh, and Onyx is stone/sand element.
Maybe a hammer or half hammer half ax.

Ah, I remember that now. I wasn't sure what you meant for a second there. Yea, it's sorta like that. Only it's not a huge explosion like Haru used. It's more of a smaller line of explosions that could be used to topple an overhanging cliff for example.

I like Carbonado. I think I might use that. And what are you confused about? I just put in question marks where I currently have'nt decided on what should go there.
I don't understand like what kind of words you want there I know the first is a name and the last is a weapon but whats the middle?
Well, the first is the color of the Knight like Crimson, Pearl, etc.
The second is the element that the Knight is alligned with like Fire, Earth, etc.
The third is what spirit or beast is associated with the element, like how Phoenix is the spirit of Fire. The spirit will also play another role in the sprites eventually.
And last is the weapon they wield. You should know that one.
My Ideas:

I've know what I'm using for the Stone/Sand one know. It is as follows.
Onyx/Stone/Manticore/I don't know what to call it right now but I have a drawing of it in a composition book of mine.
And, I'm changing the Wind spirit and weapon. I still don't have a spirit in mind but the weapon is a metal fan, like in Soul Calibur 3.
Other than those that all sounds good to me, except I was thinking of a purplish color for lightning and I'm changing Crystal to Silver.
Like Voldo's one weapon?
And how about the other stuff I suggested?
You mean for the Fan? No, I mean like the discipline Steel Fan in SC3. The Dancers gain it.

True, very true. But alot of the stuff I put on them is scratch. I normally take off complete limbs or something like that and sprite a new one one.

Another update on Alexander. The two stone magic attacks are pretty ordinary. The first, Assaikobushi(Crushing Fist), enhances Alex's already tremendous strength 3 fold. And the other, Ishiyari(Stone Spear), creates two upheavels of stone on either side of him. Now I just need at least one more attack idea and I can go onto the next knight.

Another nice sheet 10/10 and as I said in the rating thread have him hit the ground and send rocks flying through the air.
And like I said in the rating thread. That's what Ishiyari was gonna be but I couldn't get the rock things to look right so I went with what you see now.

For Melody? (Sapph knight's name) Yea, actually. All I can think of for attacks is an Aqua Stream attack.
May be something like a water dragon.

That's what the Aqua Stream attack was gonna be originnaly but it doesn't fit with the Undine spirit. So I'm making it just a stream. Any other ideas?
Hmmm maybe a wave or a whirl pool.
(Maybe I can only have good ideas when I'm playing Bleach DS.)
I got them now. Hydro Therapy(name may varie), which heals all wounds. And some sort of rain attack that I havn't named yet.
Thats good and for the rain one maybe something like acid rain or Monsoon.

This is of the top how about mourning waters. Get it rain like it is kind of like tears.
Acid might be bad, cause it is gonna be used as a defensive skill. You'll see when I sprite it.

the white one is pretty cool but the gold one well it still looks too much like the x armor.
Yea, I know. I just couldn't think of anything for the helm right now. Besides these are only the first armor form. They will get better.
I like their names. And as said before, the golden one looks to much like the X-form, sadly... but keep going!

Anyway, I have Cruor Angelus' second form done. Each form will be called what it says underneath and by saying that word it activates that form BUT it has to go from first to second to third in that order. Kinda like the Zanpaktoh in Bleach.

Okay, this is what I have so far. The room is for a template for someone to make a bedroom or something in MMZ/ZX style. The Vent/Aile sprites at the top is a school uniform I've been tinkering with, I got the red on the shoulders and the gold jacket clasp from Kvl's guardian clothes. I'm not sure what else to edit on it though. Any ideas? Oh, and the uniform is for a Kinetic School to teach gifted youngsters how to use and develop their kinetic abilites.
Oh, and I need an idea on how to separate the students kinda like in Yu-Gi-Oh G/X.(I know, yugioh is stupid but I liked the school idea)

OH! I misunderstood. Okay, the ages are from 14/15-17/18. Essentially it's like a high school. i'm gonna have both male and female "wings" as well as four different names for different "houses". All first years' will be grouped under the grey(need a better name) house. Then after the first year their grades will decide what house they will go in. For the fighters they will enter the Cerberus house. The thinkers will go under the Hydra house. And those who are more of a rounded/under achievers will go into the Phoenix house.
I think that will suffice for how they will be separated. Anyway, TAoR, could you elaborate on what you meant about how far in development and the Couple things?

Well, that's the whole point of the school. Most of them don't have very much control over it. Some are more skilled than others. It just depends on the person.
And about the couples thing, that's a good idea! I'm gonna use it.

What if the first year house is Cerberus, because they'll have three choices, and maybe change the current Cerberus house to Dragon or something...

You see, I can't do that. The reason why it's Cerberus, Phoenix, and Hydra is because those are the three spirits of the three seasons.(Cerberus=Ice, Phoenix=Flame,Hydra=Storm/Wind)
Now, this is Jace in Model Axl. I think it's comic worthy. But what do you all think? Diagonal and straight up firing was done by Zero20XD. And let me know if you all want me to post the template I used for the life bar thingy.

It isn't. Oppenheimer is a type of stone. A yellow dimond I believe.
Anyway, that old "list" doesn't apply anymore. And about the spikiness, I know it works fine cause I modeled it after Fistleo in ZX who has a spiky mand of fire. As a matter of fact, the C+P I did on it was mostly from Fistleo, so I don't see how it looks like a dragon. The shoulders were, however, from Ourobocle. You know, the snake in MMZ2.

Well, it could be time limited rather than turn limited. OR it could be unlimited. You do have a ghost as your navi, so making it like the soul system (cross system, whatever, same thing) makes sense. You could make each channel have it's own HP, and when it's HP runs out that channel doesn't work anymore, and he needs to stop using it for a while or something? I dunno.
Alright, I've got a definition for it now. The Channel system is kinda like the Soul and Cross systems combined. What it does is takes the core of another navi's power, instead of it's soul, creating an armor that is loosly based on the borrowed navi and his power.

She's got some pink under her arm... The hand towards the back looks weird. there's too much of that darkest brown color. The hair is maybe a tad bit too bright (maybe) but it looks fine. Her "vest" or whatever that gold thing is looks like it should be one more pixel to the right because it's not centered. I'm not sure thuogh, I'm tired. Anyway, it's a goor sprite overall though. I'm not farmiliar with Z or ZX styles, so I dunno if its C+P but, looks good to me :)
The pink under the arm is her hair. She has long hair. The gold thing is actually a ribbon but I guess it's hard to see with that background. And none of it was C+P. I used references sure, but no C+P. Anyway, thank you.

Oh. Maybe make her hair behind her arm darker then, because it looks really weird the shade it is now. And I meant the gold thing over her chest, not behind her head... Or is that a ribbon still? Well, I've got a new sprite and a Bio to go with it!
Name: Orin ?(last name isn't chosen yet)
Age: 19
Hair: Silver
Eyes: Deep Blue
Personality: Distant. Orin usually keeps to himself and never let's his emotions gain control of him.
Background: Orin was abandoned as a baby and was taken in by his foster parents, Alex and Jayne. Around the age of 8, Orin's town came under attack from Mavericks. During the attack, Orin's foster parents reveal that they are not his real parents and give Orin a keepsake from his true parents, a necklace in the shape of a three pointed star. Alex and Jayne soon sacrifice themselves to save their "son". After the attack, Orin set's out to find information on his real parents and find a way to stop the Maverick virus. Upon deciding this, Orin realizes his "necklace" is actualy a Bio-Metal containing the spirit of Ectoman.
Ecto's Personality: Same as Orin's.
Ecto's Bio: Not much is known about Ectoman or even if he really IS a Bio-Metal from a long dead warrior, due to his unusual Bio-Metal shape.
